Invincible. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. My Adventures with Superman. X-Men ‘97. Harley Quinn. Creature Commandos. What If…? We may be in a new golden age of animated superhero shows. With Marvel Animation set to expand its offerings with Marvel Zombies and Eyes of Wakanda, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is dipping into the medium for the first time. Meanwhile, under the guidance of James Gunn, DC kicked off a new film universe using animation with the release of Creature Commandos. It looks like superhero cartoons are back in a big way, and with their re-emergence has come variety, especially in terms of style.

Marvel Studios' planned Vision series has added another new cast member, and there's already speculation that the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have found its Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed.
Deadline reports that The Franchise and Too Rough actor Ruaridh Mollica has joined the WandaVision spin-off as a character named "Tucker."
Though this Tucker might well be a completely different character, previous rumors have suggested that the Vision series will introduce Billy Maximoff's (Joe Locke) brother, who the newly powered-up Wiccan set off to locate alongside "Ghost Agatha" in the season finale of Agatha All Along.
At 25, Mollica is a little older than Locke (21), but he could convincingly play a teenager.
The untitled Vision project - which may or may not end up being called Vision Quest - has been described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."

No one is ever truly gone in the world of comic books. Through various supernatural ways that be can used in specific lores to revive dearly departed characters to the endless possibilities of the multiverse that can bring in alternate versions of those characters from another world, the comic book medium has defied the natural order of things time and time again.
Remember how Arrow revived Sara Lance using the Lazarus Pit? What about how it brought in the Earth-2 version of her sister, the Black Canary, after senselessly killing off the Earth-1 version? That's just one example of that, and the Arrowverse franchise as a whole was arguably ahead of its time considering the multiverse is everywhere nowadays - largely due to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's take on the phenomenon.

Marvel Studios is set to bring back a villain from the very first MCU movie for the upcoming Disney+ Vision series - but probably not the one you're expecting.
Deadline reports that Faran Tahir will return as Raza, the ruthless leader of the 10 Rings terrorist group who targetted Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in 2008's Iron Man. Raza appeared to meet his end at the hands of Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges), but it's worth noting that we didn't actually see him die when Stane sent his men into the tent to finish off his former ally.
We have no idea why Marvel is utilizing this particular character for the WandaVision spin-off, but it might have something to do with Stark's involvement in Vision's creation. It's also entirely possible that Raza is dead, and will only appear in flashbacks or as some kind of illusion or construct.

As the universe of the ever-popular procedural series continues to grow, a new NCIS spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, is in the works at Paramount+. The NCIS franchise launched in 2003 as a backdoor pilot on Jag, and follows the agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service as they solve cases that take place within the United States military system. Over its two decades on the air, NCIS has blossomed into a bona fide TV institution with several successful offshoots.
Even as NCIS climbs past its 20th season, the franchise is reaching a new period of expansion in the 2020s with the announcement of fresh spinoffs. Instead of merely replicating the success of the original series in a new location, the latest spinoffs are more character-driven and even take place in different periods in the show's timeline. The recently announced spinoff NCIS: Origins will chronicle the adventures of young Leroy Gibbs in the early 1990s,...

The newest Season 3 episode of What If...? doesn't just have the return of Edwin Jarvis but something else from his canceled Marvel Television show.
Fans were ecstatic when James D'Arcy made a cameo as Edwin Jarvis from Marvel Studios' canceled series Agent Carter in Avengers: Endgame. This made him the first official character from a Marvel Television production to jump to the films before Charlie Cox's Matthew Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
D'Arcy had expressed hope in the past of reprising Jarvis again in another project. While it's not another live-action appearance, he got his wish in the latest episode of What If...?, along with another surprise reference to Marvel Television's canceled period piece series.

Stephen King is one of the most prolific acclaimed authors working today, yet he still finds time to watch — and weigh in on — plenty of TV shows and movies each year. Historically, King's quick takes have lived on X (formerly known as Twitter), but just last month the author made the wise move to shut down his popular account on the Musk-owned site for good. "I quit Twitter," King wrote on Threads in November. "Eleven years, man. It really changed. Grew dark."
When the man behind some of the most messed-up horror stories of the past two centuries calls a website dark, you know something's going wrong. At any rate, King immediately picked up his watercooler conversation where it left off, once again recommending new titles that are challenging, intriguing, and (as his random endorsement of "The Flash" last year reminded us) not always guaranteed to be good. Still, plenty...

The second episode of What If...? season 3 is now streaming on Disney+ and, for fans of WandaVision, Agatha All Along, and Eternals, it's an absolute must-watch.
We learn that, in this reality, Agatha Harkness discovered the existence of Tiamut deep in the Earth during the 1940s. However, a spell big enough to steal a Celestial's power requires Hollywood money so she becomes the lead star in Howard Stark's new feature film.
Alas, no matter how big a stage he makes for her, it's not enough; there's also a very funny exchange between Howard and Edwin Jarvis which takes a tongue-in-cheek shot at Marvel Studios' penchant for reshoots.
Agatha convinces Howard to hire Kingo and the two face off - on camera - in one of the wildest, most elaborate dance numbers to ever grace the silver screen. Kingo knows what she's up to but the witch is also well aware...

While What If…? kicked off its season with an homage to kaiju movies, episode 2 takes us back to the glitz and glamour of classic Hollywood. A love letter to black-and-white movies, especially the pictures of the 1930s, also opens the door for recent stars in the MCU. “What If… Agatha Went to Hollywood” returns the iconic witch, voiced by Kathryn Hahn. It also puts her on a collision course with The Eternals, most specifically Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo. This allows “Agatha Went to Hollywood” to thrive as both a comedic and visual stunner.

What If...? returns with its third and final season this weekend and Marvel Animation has today shared the episode descriptions and credits for every episode.
There are some significant reveals here, though the biggest is Mysterio's role in "What If...The Emergence destroyed the Earth?" With the planet no more, it appears Quentin Beck finds a way to take charge of what's left; could a Spider-Man: Far From Home retcon be in the works establishing him as a Multiversal threat?
We wouldn't bank on it but in this reality, he must have survived the events of that movie and become more than just a con man out to steal Tony Stark's technology.
Beyond that, most of these episodes sound like fun, throwaway adventures and a couple really stretch the "What If...?" premise. However, the final two episodes sound pretty monumental and could have a major impact on the...

The fact that Disney submitted Agatha All Along in the comedy categories for the upcoming awards season (star Kathryn Hahn was recently nominated for a Golden Globe) led to speculation that the show could return for a second season, and we're now hearing that more episodes are indeed in the early planning stages.
According to Daniel Richtman, a second season is very close to being given the green-light.
The season finale concluded with Agatha Harkness (Hahn) sacrificing herself to save Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) by planting a kiss on her former lover Rio Vidal, aka Death (Aubrey Plaza).
Of course, dying in the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn't necessarily mean the end of the road - especially for a powerful witch. In the final moments of the episode, Harkness returns in spirit form and accompanies Wiccan on his quest to locate his brother Tommy.

Actor Liam Neeson continues to be one of the most prolific movie stars in Hollywood, having starred in several films across different genres that are understandably plentiful on Netflix. Neeson made a name for himself as an actor by starring in serious drama films. Specifically, he became a household name after giving an Oscar-nominated performance as the lead in Steven Spielberg's 1993 film Schindler's List. Over thirty years later, Neeson remains a bankable movie icon, having appeared in several action movies following his iconic role in the highly successful film Taken.
Due to Neeson's incredible acting talents, his filmography continues to grow, with his name most notably being attached to the upcoming reboot of Naked Gun, despite announcing his retirement from action movies. Since Neeson has starred in projects that fall into multiple genres, his films are perfect for those looking for an exciting movie night or an artistic slice of cinema.

Marvel Studios did what many thought was impossible in 2012 by assembling Earth's Mightiest Heroes in The Avengers. A sequel, Avengers: Age of Ultron, followed three years later before the stakes increased exponentially in Infinity War and Endgame.
With the end of the Multiverse Saga rapidly approaching, this era of storytelling will be capped off with Doomsday and Secret Wars. Beyond that, the plan is reportedly for the MCU to be softly rebooted, likely leading to recastings and the X-Men and Fantastic Four calling the Sacred Timeline home.
But what of The Avengers? We're sure they'll still have an important role to play and, in this feature, we're exploring the way the franchise can evolve in a new MCU. From new locations to the type of stories being told and the team's place in this shared world moving forward, we have a lot of thoughts on where they go from here.

Marvel Studios has shared a cast list for the upcoming third and final season of What If...?, and Jeffrey Wright's Watcher looks set to be joined by another A-List lineup of Marvel Cinematic Universe talent.
We heard some time ago that season 3 would add some key Phase 4 characters to the mix, and that's evident from the presence of Kingo, Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, and Moon Knight.
There aren't many surprises beyond that, though we are intrigued to see what the likes of Sonny Burch and Arishem the Judge bring to the table.

Vision Star Paul Bettany Reveals When New Series Begins Filming & Gives His Take On Agatha All Along
Paul Bettany will return as Vision for a new Disney+ series, and the actor has now shared some updates on the project during an interview with THR.
Though he declined to discuss any plot details, Bettany did reveal that shooting is set to commence next year.
“We’re cooking up something that I’m really excited about,” he said, before adding that he couldn't say much more because “snitches end up in ditches.”
Bettany was also asked about current MCU Disney+ series, Agatha All Along, which is a spin-off of WandaVision.
“I love it. I love it and I’m so proud of [showrunner] Jac Schaeffer and I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution.”
The untitled Vision project has been described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along.

WandaVision concluded with the original Vision, rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. to do as they command, attempting to kill Wanda Maximoff and his Hex double. The latter seemingly restored his doppelganger's memories during their battle, prompting the presumably emotionless "White Vision" to fly away to parts unknown.
Marvel Studios and Marvel Television will continue that story in Disney+'s upcoming Vision series and there's a great deal of intrigue surrounding the project.
We know that James Spader will return as Ultron, while it's been widely reported that the Disney+ series will also adapt elements of West Coast Avengers and Tom King's Vision series. There have even been rumblings that we'll see James D'Arcy and Kerry Condon play human versions of Edwin Jarvis and F.R.I.D.A.Y.
It feels like Vision is going to be a wonderfully weird ride, and a new rumour has definitely piqued our interest.

As Marvel Studios' Vision series (previously titled "Vision Quest") continues to round out its cast, we have a very interesting rumor relating to Tony Stark and his father Howard's former assistants.
According to Mttsh, Kerry Condon and James D'Arcy will appear as their respective characters, F.R.I.D.A.Y and Jarvis.
Condon provided the voice of Tony's second AI after J.A.R.V.I.S. (Paul Bettany) was transformed into Vision, while D'Arcy played the human the "natural-language user interface computer system" was named after, Edwin Jarvis.
How these characters will factor into the show remains to be seen.
The project is being described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."
We found out earlier this year that the Vision show had been revamped, with Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas now on board as showrunner.

The impact of WandaVision continues to be felt three years after its arrival. The Marvel Cinematic Universe series brought Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany's respective characters into the spotlight, giving Wanda Maximoff and Vision the focus that they just never had in the previous MCU movies. It was also a game-changer for the franchise.
Wanda evolved into the Scarlet Witch and continued her story through Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while Vision was resurrected as the White Vision (after his death in Avengers: Infinity War) and, after a run-in with the magically-resurrected Westview Vision, regained all of his memories. While Dark Matter season 2's renewal is excellent news for the show, it does also bring to mind a similar Apple TV+ sci-fi show, but one that wasn't afforded the same opportunity to continue its story beyond a single season. The changes made to Blake Crouch's Dark Matter book to create the live-action adaptation created the chance for the multiverse saga to continue beyond the events of the source material. The other show in question wasn't an adaptation, but it was similar to Dark Matter in other ways.
The success of Dark Matter means it can be added to the impressive ongoing collection of Apple TV+ sci-fi shows. While it's currently unclear how long the show will run, its premise allows for the possibility of a multi-season story if Dark Matter season 2 is also well-received. Unfortunately, not all of Apple TV+'s sci-fi projects are quite as triumphant as Dark Matter,...

Some even disappoint fans, leaving them wondering if there is a related backstory. Keep reading to learn more about the McU's worst variant cameos that no one asked for.
Theater Cameos in Thor: Ragnarok
Thor: Ragnarok was the best Thor movie made to date. One of the best scenes in the film was the genius use of cameos in a theatrical performance. Loki disguises himself as Odin and watches a play about the events of Thor: The Dark World. The commentary of the play, along with the casting, is hilarious.

Hayley Atwell is indeed one of the most talented stars in Hollywood, with her sheer determination and commitment to whatever she’s doing perfectly helping her ace her game. To say that the actress is so deeply invested in whatever she does that she hates losing wouldn’t be an understatement, considering how she once did everything in her power just because she didn’t want to lose.

This goes back to when she and James D’Arcy were challenged to fierce competition amidst the hilarious Dubsmash wars raging between them and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast. The team behind Apple TV+’s big-budget European drama Constellation took to the stage in Cologne this week to talk developing the psychological sci-fi drama, technical challenges of shooting zero gravity, almost casting Jeff Bridges and why they spent nearly $550,000 on space suits. You can watch a video of the session at the bottom.
During a production masterclass session at Seriencamp, series producer Daniel Hetzer and line producer Jakob Neuhausser from Constellation co-producer Turbine Studios revealed the budget for the series sat around €100M ($110M), with Apple providing around 70% and a €10M grant coming from the state-run German Motion Picture Fund.
Turbine, which has bases in the UK and Germany, had initially joined forces with France’s Haut et Court TV to create the project. Together they attached writer and show creator Peter Harness and then sold a global license to the project to Apple, before attracting around €30M in soft money from Germany,...

Deadline reports that Apple TV+ has cancelled Constellation after one season. The sci-fi psychological thriller series starred Noomi Rapace as an astronaut who returns to Earth after a disaster in space, only to find that key pieces of her life seem to be missing.
The first season of Constellation wrapped up its eight-episode run in March, and unfortunately for fans, it sounds like there are quite a number of plot threads left hanging now that the series has been cancelled.
Along with Rapace, Constellation also stars Jonathan Banks, James D’Arcy, Julian Looman, William Catlett, Barbara Sukowa and Rosie and Davina Coleman. The show, which was created and written by Peter Harness, dealt with “one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and for her to recover all that she has lost.“

“Obviously, it was a fairly big ask,” declares visual effects supervisor Doug Larmour about the outrageously complicated visual effects deployed in the big budget Apple TV+ sci-fi thriller “Constellation.” For our recent webchat he adds, “Having worked in a few space projects before and knowing that there’s a solution for zero gravity. You build sets with take-off rooms and ceilings, and you build a wind system and a flying system with some really good special effects people. Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Constellation season 1.
The death of one Jo in Constellation set off a chain of events that shaped the outcome of season 1 dramatically. Noomi Rapace's workload in Constellation differs from co-stars, but her role as Jo is crucial in the alternate reality plot. Both Jo and Paul, if they had survived together, would have been a unique case of a double crossover between universes in Constellation.
The survival of the other Jo in Constellation's alternate reality could have vastly changed the story's outcome, with her death serving as one of the main catalysts for events turning out the way they did at the end of Constellation season 1. The Jo who died shared many similarities with her parallel counterpart, but she also differed in key ways. Had both versions of Jo made it through the Iss accident with their lives, the fate of both women would have been drastically altered.

Stephen King praises the Apple TV+ show Constellation for being nail-biting and believable in the first two episodes. The show stars Noomi Rapace as Jo, an astronaut with memory gaps, promising a dark exploration of human psychology. Constellation takes unexpected turns, with a finale airing on March 27.
Stephen King shares his glowing praise for Constellation, highlighting the strengths of the new psychological thriller show from Apple TV+. Although it has earned the reputation of being a hub for sci-fi aficionados, it's less appreciated that the streaming service is varied within that category. The dystopian mystery Silo became one of 2023's breakout hits, and while there are high-concept offerings, such as Invasion and Foundation, there's also The Big Door Prize, a dramedy that showcases the genre's strengths on a smaller and more personal scale. Severance, meanwhile, combines the personal and the fantastical.

A catchy nickname for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer crew has emerged during awards season: the Oppenhomies. During his acceptance speech for best actor at Saturday’s SAG Awards, Cillian Murphy made sure to give credit where it’s due by revealing the specific Oppenhomie who came up with it.
“Just an Fyi on that exquisite moniker, Oppenhomies, that was actually invented by the great Olivia Thirlby,” Murphy said of the actress who plays Lilli Hornig in Nolan’s epic about American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and the events surrounding the creation of the atomic bomb. “So Olivia, I think you should immediately trademark that and start merching the shit out of it because someone else will.”
Murphy then got serious by calling his peers “the greatest group of actors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.” It’s a long and impressive list, too, that includes Emily Blunt,...
