David Daker

David Daker attended Etheridge Secondary Modern School, now called Moseley Park School, in the West Midlands. He was an ensemble member of the Salisbury Playhouse from 1960 to 1965. His roles have included Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire. He became best known on television as Harry Crawford in the hit series Boon (1986), as Tommy Mackay in Only Fools and Horses (1981), and Jarvis in Porridge (1974). He also appeared twice in Doctor Who (1963), playing the 13th century robber baron Irongron in The Time Warrior: Part One (1973) and Rigg, the captain of a spacecraft, in Nightmare of Eden: Part One (1979).
In later years, he retired to live in France.
