Lester Dorr was born on 8 May 1893 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was an actor, known for Riders of the Purple Sage (1931), The Secret Code (1942) and Flying Disc Man from Mars (1950). He was married to Grace L. Painter. He died on 25 August 1980 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

He registered for the military Draft for World War 1 while in Chicago, Illinois as a Theatre Producer, and for World War II, while in Hollywood, as a free-lance actor.

He was one of the original members of the Screen Actors Guild in 1933.
