The pods are opening up in a new country for the first time on Love Is Blind. Netflix has finally launched Season 1 of the reality TV dating series in Germany, and it doesn't take long before things heat up.

The first episode opens with a notable statistic, saying that there are 23 million singles in Germany and that, while singles are dating "more than ever," they're actually marrying "less and less." Right off the bat, we understand the stakes of the series: as marriage in the country becomes more and more of a rarity, can the cast members find their perfect match on the other side of the pod wall?

When the blind dates first began, my initial reaction was that this cast, compared to other spin-offs of the show, appeared to lack diversity, and immediately it made me wonder how that might impact the connections in the pods.

Each season of Love Is Blind has its fair share of breakups between cast members. The most recent season of the reality TV show was no exception, and exes Nick D. and Hannah have each faced backlash since the show ended.

Some fans thought that Nick was too immature throughout the season, acting like a "man child," as Hannah called him. Others felt that Hannah was at fault, coming down too harsh on her partner and treating him unkindly. Now it seems that Nick has spoken out about the work he still feels his ex has to do.

For fans of Love Is Blind, there was no doubt what the biggest bombshell of the most recent season was. During Season 7 of the reality TV series, one of the strongest couples coming out of the pods appeared to be Tyler and Ashley, a quiet and sweet pair who seemed like they didn't have any issues.

That is, until Tyler revealed much later into the season that he had not one, but three children. Though the kids were a result of his being a sperm donor, the fact understandably shocked Ashley, and fans of the show were surprised when she chose to stay with him after he kept such a major secret from her.

Since then, Ashley has since tried to clear the air about the timeline of Tyler telling her about his kids. Now that the two are married, she's come out to clarify the details of the rather confusing timeline of events.

Reality TV dating series Love Is Blind is full of relationship drama, particularly when the engaged couples don't work out. Once the cast members conclude filming, they can often find themselves both heartbroken and newly in the public spotlight.

This seemed to be the case for Nick D. from Season 7 of the show. Though things between Nick and his former fiance, Hannah, didn't work out, it appears that Nick tried to make a move on another Love Is Blind cast member from a different season.
