Every year on this say, Star Wars fans the world over show their appreciation for all things Galaxy Far, Far Away, and Lucasfilm has now joined the celebration by releasing an all-new montage of footage from every movie, live-action and animated series in the saga.
The video cleverly mashes-up footage and dialogue from all three movie trilogies, as well as the likes of The Mandalorian, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars Rebels, Visions, Skeleton Crew, and more.
We haven't seen Star Wars on the big screen since The Rise of Skywalker, but that will soon change. In addition to Shawn Levy's Star Wars: Starfighter, Lucasfilm has Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy's untitled Rey-focused movie, James Mangold's Dawn of the Jedi (probably not the official title), and Dave Filoni's "Mandoverse" crossover event in the works.

Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith Proves Itself A Force To Be Reckoned With At The Worldwide Box Office
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith returned to theaters this weekend, two decades after it was first released. As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, the final chapter of George Lucas' divisive prequel trilogy proved its lasting audience appeal by taking in an estimated $42.2 million at the worldwide box office.
Episode III, which was re-released to celebrate its 20th anniversary on Friday, made an estimated $25.2 million domestically, helping it beat The Accountant 2 to #2 in North America (Sinners remained #1 with a fantastic weekend of its own).
Outside of the U.S., it also played in select theaters within many markets, including Germany (where it opened #1), France, Spain, the UK, Australia, Brazil, and Mexico, on its way to an estimated $17 million internationally.
This is one of the top-grossing re-release weekends in domestic industry history, playing behind Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope ($36 million from the January 1997 Special Edition release...

It's been six years since Avengers: Endgame opened in theaters and broke records, but this is no sleepy weekend at the box office without the MCU to lend a hand.
Sinners has vastly exceeded expectations, with a second weekend dip of roughly -10%. The movie is eyeing a $42 million - $44 million haul, following a $48 million debut over Easter. This is a tremendous result for an original IP, and it's no doubt been buoyed by positive reviews (it sits at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes).
By the end of this weekend, its 10-day cume will have likely reached $120 million in North America.
The fight for #2 has come down to The Accountant 2 versus Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The former is hoping to net somewhere between $23 million - $25 million, but the re-release of George Lucas' 2005 movie is nipping at its heels with projections pointing to $21 million - $23 million.

As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, Disney's 20th anniversary re-release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith could score a box office upset in North America this weekend.
The movie earned $3.4 million from Thursday previews, and with $20 million in presales, it may open between $27 million - $30 million. Should it meet those expectations, then it stands a chance of debuting at #1, topping Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal's The Accountant 2. That made $2.5 million yesterday and should land in the low-to-mid $20 million range.
It's a little too soon for full weekend estimates, but Sinners is holding up well and has the potential to earn north of $30 million. If so, then it will likely take the top spot. However, even #2 would be a huge win for Disney, seeing as this is just a re-release.

In a new interview with StarWars.com, artist Ian McCaig touched on two significant Jedis in the franchise and their roles in 1999s Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. McCaig said at the end, George Lucas changed something significant.
McCaig, who worked on the film, said the Jedi characters, Qui-Gon Jinn, played by Liam Neeson, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Ewan McGregor, experienced quite the story change.
"Its interesting how things evolve, McCaig said. For a time, the older Jedi was named Obi-Wan and the younger Jedi was named Qui-Gon. It was very poignant that at the end, as Obi-Wan dies and Qui-Gon defeats Darth Maul and stays with his Master as he passes away, he not only takes on his Masters quest, but he takes on his name.

Brian Blessed speaks – well, booms – to Empire about the formidable Gungan leader.
“It took your bloody head off!” bellows Brian Blessed down the phone line, as only he can. The legendarily bushy-bearded 87-year-old actor is recounting for Empire the first time he saw Star Wars: in 1977, having been made aware of the film from a “great big billboard at Snow Hill railway station in Birmingham”, Blessed sallied forth to the first cinema he could find. An avowed science-fiction nerd and keen space enthusiast — “I am actually a fully trained astronaut”, he notes several times during our conversation — he found himself transfixed. “Here was something totally, completely original. It was by far the finest science-fiction film I’d ever seen.”
Blessed hoped to be cast in the original trilogy, but suspects his iconic role in the similarly space- operatic Flash Gordon in 1980 may have gotten in the way. It wasn’t until the late ’90s,...

Brian Blessed is only 87 years old, but he has lived enough adventures for 10 lifetimes. He has been acting professionally since 1957, and has since racked up hundreds of credits on stage, screen, and in video games. His enormous frame (and beard) cut a striking figure, and his big booming voice could likely be heard from the moon. He's played Shakespeare, Dumas, Doyle, Asterix, "Doctor Who," "Flash Gordon," and "Peppa Pig."
In 1963, Blessed helped deliver a baby in public. He bit through the umbilical cord to complete his task, and licked the infant's face to comfort it. He had attempted to scale Mount Everest on three occasions, each time with assisted oxygen. He has also summited Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Aconcagua. Back in the early '90s, television audiences were treated to "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" — which have now been retitled "The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones." These adventures explored the earliest adventures of everyone's favorite archeologist, long before he chose that as his profession.
The series is split with two actors playing Indy. The youngest, Corey Carrier, gets to examine Indiana Jones in his school days, whisked around the world by his parents with a tutor in tow. Those episodes put him in contact with everyone from Theodore Roosevelt to Pablo Picasso and were nothing short of charming. Sean Patrick Flanery took the role of Indiana Jones during his late teens and early 20s, a sliver of the part that was originated by River Phoenix in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
Originally, each episode was bookended with an intro and outro from a one-eyed, 80-year-old Indiana Jones played by George Hall.

The Star Wars franchise has some of the most iconic and recognizable science-fantasy characters in pop culture, but while some have cleverly inventive or meaningful names, other characters’ names are just strange. The two Star Wars continuities, canon and Legends, tell exciting stories across nearly all mediums, taking full advantage of the vast Star Wars galaxy and the franchise’s malleability in nearly any story genre. Oftentimes, Star Wars characters have bizarre or downright hilarious names, which is often the result of intentional tongue-in-cheek humor on the creatives’ parts.
Frequently in Star Wars, character names are used subtly and unsubtly to express elements of their personalities or roles in their respective stories. Greedo is a greedy bounty hunter, for instance. The Darth titles of Sith Lords often sound similar to evil traits, with Darth Sidious and Tyranus being notable examples. In other cases, like Salacious B. Crumb, Jek Porkins, or Picaroon C.

With his 2022 film "Triangle of Sadness," Ruben Östlund's characteristically arch satirical sensibilities were applied to the worlds of the ultra-wealthy. As the Swedish filmmaker put it in 2017, he always wants his work to feature some "combination of sociology, stand-up comedy, and horrifying awkward moments." In "Triangle," he gets all three -- and an added bit of masterful gross-out comedy, as patrons of a luxury cruise fall into a bad fit of food poisoning in the chaos of a stormy night aboard. For a director who is fond of disgusted walk-outs, even this scene veers close to too-much territory. Using his intercom, the Captain explains his Communist philosophy all the while.

She made her acting debut in the South African film “Spud” in 2010 and returned in the 2013 sequel

After a complicated pandemic-affected shoot, Palme d’Or-winning Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund has wrapped his new movie Triangle Of Sadness, a satire set in the world of high fashion.
The project first rolled cameras on February 4 in Sweden, completing its initial 25-day leg as lockdowns were being implemented across Europe. Cast member Woody Harrelson was unable to fly to the Scandi nation until June to shoot his part, while the Greek leg was delayed until late September, when it finally began its nine-week shoot.
Also starring are Harris Dickinson, Charlbi Dean, Vicky Berlin, Dolly De Leon, Zlatko Buric, Iris Berben, Amanda Walker, Oliver Ford Davies, Henrik Dorsin, Jean-Christophe Folly and Sunnyi Melles. Pic follows two models who are invited on a luxury cruise. As the yacht sinks, they are left stranded on a desert island with a group of billionaires and a cleaning lady. In the fight for survival, hierarchy is turned upside-down.

The Square and Force Majeure writer-director Ruben Ostlund is – quite literally – about to set sail on wild, fashion-world satire Triangle of Sadness. Palme d’Or winner Ostlund will begin the film’s 70-day shoot on February 19 in Sweden and Greece, where cameras will roll on the Adriatic Sea.

The latest in a rather long and profitable string of animated properties getting the live action treatment, Christopher Robin opts to do things a little bit differently. Instead of leaning in to the child audience, a good portion of this family film looks to get in good with the parents. The flick may even challenge younger viewers with its meditative pace at first. Nostalgic parents though, they’ll probably dig on it. After all, Winnie the Pooh (and Tigger too) are staples of youth. Opening this weekend, Christopher Robin is the newest and most artful in Disney’s quest to showcase all of their classic properties. This movie looks at title character Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor), who spent his childhood playing with his toys and loving life. Living playthings like Winnie the Pooh (voice of Jim Cummings), Tigger (voice of Cummings as well), Eeyore (voice of Brad Garrett), Piglet (voice...

That '70s Show star Topher Grace wanted to learn how to edit film, so as an exercise, he took it upon himself to make a one-film cut with footage from the three Star Wars prequels, which includes Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. What resulted was an 85-minute sci-fi adventure that is lean, mean and has been quite enjoyed by those who've seen it. It was never meant to be released outside Topher Grace's circle of friends, but that might have changed after a couple years being asked repeatedly about it. We don't have a confirmed release date for Star Wars: Episode III.5, but we may finally get to see it as Topher has cut together and released a teaser trailer, which helps to remind fans why...

Every performer has a horror story about auditions – a bullying director, falling over, not having done their homework. But what's the secret of nailing that part?
Last September, Alice Jane Murray queued in the rain outside the London Palladium for five hours, waiting to take her chance at the open auditions for A Chorus Line, the legendary 1970s show about a group of Broadway dancers looking for their big break. Eventually, she was ushered on stage with a group of 50 other hopefuls, and asked to do a double pirouette on the left, and then another on the right. Her future rested on their perfect execution. "I just went with the thought that this is who I am and what I can do," she told me afterwards. "And if they don't like it, I can't do anything about it. It may just be that they're not looking for someone with your hair colour or your height.

George R. R. Martin’s acclaimed fantasy series A Song Of Ice And Fire exploded onto HBO in 2011, in the form of the bloody, sexy, gritty Game Of Thrones. It was one of the year’s greatest hits, resulting in an Emmy and Golden Globe for star Peter Dinklage, and perhaps more importantly, respect to a genre (fantasy) long seen as niche, nerdy and not feasible for TV. Creators David Beinoff and D.B. Weiss (along with Martin) proved everyone wrong with their tremendous first season, and seek to go further in the second season. Winter has been coming for a long time, but the season 2 premiere is finally upon us, taking over the gaping void in our lives left by the exit of The Walking Dead. Let’s take a deep breath,...

Welcome back, Game of Thrones fans! Did you enjoy your break? Good. Because shit just got real (especially if you’re a bastard son of Robert Baratheon). And holy molely did the Season Two opener — entitled “The North Remembers” — wastes no time in getting viewers caught up on what all of our favorite George R.R. Martin characters are up to. And the show does so by tying their fates together with a single comet in the sky.
Those who read the second novel in the series A Song of Ice and Fire — entitled A Clash of Kings — know that the comet will represent different things to different people. For some, like the new Lord Stark, young Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) sees the comet as a sign that his brother Robb (Richard Madsen) will prevail in his war against King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson). For those under the Lannister banner, the comet’s...

Why do I saw that (spoilers): The Unsullied are shown as well as the moment of their purchase. That happens in A Storm of Swords, the third book in the series (end spoilers). Game of Thrones Season 2 Trailer.
