On the July 24 episode of The Young and the Restless, Jack lamented to Diane that he’s afraid the best thing he can do for Billy now is to stop enabling his stupidity. Which means cutting Billy off completely, no more second, third, fourth, seventeenth chances. Jack thinks he knows why he’s doing this. But we know better. Please join Jack—and us—on the couch, for a very thorough head-shrinking.
Jack Abbott: Golden Boy
There is such a huge age difference between Jack (Peter Bergman) and his brother, Billy (Jason Thompson), that Jack had time to sleep with Billy’s mother, Jill (Jess Walton), years before Billy was born. So the two didn’t grow up together and didn’t have a common childhood experience.
Jack accepted Billy, even though he hated Billy’s mother (this would be after he slept with her… and during) because Jack...

Young and the Restless sees a killer on the loose running around the maze in France with one person dead and other power players at risk, according to the head writer. I’m wondering if Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) might be the real killer for a few reasons that have cropped up recently and other reasons that have been festering for a while on Y&r.
We’re going to talk about whether Damian Kane’s (Jermaine Rivers) killer might be somebody who doesn’t even know him at all a name that Damian likely never even heard of: Tucker McCall.
Exploring the Suspense: Is Tucker McCall the Mysterious Killer in Young and the Restless?
Before the big reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) was the man behind the identity of the mysterious Aristotle Dumas, not only did fans suspect it might be Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). But I...

The Daytime Emmys race for Best Drama Actress is shaping up to be a battle between Eileen Davidson (The Young and the Restless) and Nancy Lee Grahn (General Hospital). According to Gold Derby's predictions, the former is currently out front with a 54 percent chance of winning, while the latter is in the runner-up position with 21 percent.
Davidson has played Ashley Abbott, a successful chemist and businesswoman who consistently navigates family drama, on and off since since her The Young and the Restless debut in 1982. During the eligible 2024 season, Ashley experienced Dissociative Identity Disorder and splintered into several different personalities, including Ash, Mrs. Abbott, and Belle. To date, Davidson has won two Daytime Emmys for Best Drama Actress, in 2014 for Days of Our Lives and in 2018 for The Young and the Restless.
Grahn's Alexis Davis has been a constant presence since 1996, and the actress is one of General Hospital's longest-running cast members.

Young and the Restless 2-week spoilers for July 14-25, 2025 see Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is accused and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is raging.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis’s Plot and a Dagger in the Dark
Monday, July 14th, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is bragging to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that she’s had a couple of private conversations with Cane. And yet, Billy has not scored a private meeting.
Phyllis absolutely rejects it when Billy suggests a partnership of the three of them. He’s also so annoyed with Phyllis that he tells Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) that Phyllis knows what Cane is plotting and walks out after he drops that bombshell.
Cane and Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) are drinking and chatting. Turns out the bottle of alcohol is drugged. Both guys get woozy, but Damian more so. Someone is watching them in the hedge maze.

The Young and the Restless dominated the 2025 Daytime Emmy nominations with 19 nods. Many of the show’s top stars including Peter Bergman, Sharon Case, and Eileen Davidson earned acting nods. However, many notable names were missing from this year’s list.
Melody Thomas Scott
The biggest name missing from this year’s nominees is Melody Thomas Scott. The actress put on her best work as Nikki struggled with her sobriety and being stalked by Jordan (Colleen Zenk). After being snubbed last year, many fans thought she’d be a shoo-in to receive a Lead Actress nomination. But just like last year, Scott wasn’t shown any Emmy love.
Colleen Zenk
Zenk has been phenomenal as the menacing Jordan on Y&R. Whether she was tormenting Nikki, gaslighting Claire (Hayley Erin), or teaming with Ian (Ray Wise), Zenk was a delight to watch. Zenk was snubbed for a Guest Performer Emmy nomination in last year.

The Young and the Restless is the show to beat at this year's Daytime Emmy Awards.
The venerable soap led the field with 19 nominations on Thursday, followed by General Hospital with 16 and Days of Our Lives with 13. The Best Drama Series category is back to just those three nominees after last year's record-tying six contenders vied for the top prize. As Gold Derby previously reported, buzzy new soap opera Beyond the Gates was not eligible this year but will contend at the 2026 kudos.
The six-person lineup for Best Drama Actress includes four from The Young and the Restless — Sharon Case, Eileen Davidson, Melissa Claire Egan, and Michelle Stafford — plus Nancy Lee Grahn and Laura Wright from General Hospital.
The five Best Drama Actor nominees hail from all three nominated soaps: Days of Our Lives' Eric Martsolf, Greg Rikaart, and Paul Telfer; The Young and the Restless' Peter Bergman; and General Hospital's Dominic Zamprogna.

The Young and The Restless fans are upset over the death of Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). Fans believe the writers wasted Cole’s character by ignoring his history with legendary characters Victor (Eric Braeden), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley (Eileen Davidson).
Instead of capitalizing off Cole’s ties to the characters, the writers chose to reduce him as just Claire’s (Hayley Erin) father. Fans weren’t holding back their anger towards this decision.
Cole Howard Had A Deep History in Gc
Viewers are upset because Cole had history with almost everyone in Genoa City. At one point, Cole thought Victor was his father. He had complex relationships with Nikki, Ashley, and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) so the drama was limitless.
For some reason Cole didn’t interact with Victor much. They didn’t discuss their past together. Nikki and Cole may as well have been strangers even though...

For some reason Cole didn’t interact with Victor much. They didn’t discuss their past together. Nikki and Cole may as well have been strangers even though...

The Young and the Restless cast put on amazing performances last year. From two villains running amok in Genoa City to a character’s struggle with their sobriety, these actors knocked it out of the park. With the 2025 Daytime Emmy nominations being announced on July 10th, these Y&r stars are deserving of a nod.
Sharon Case
Sharon Case was front and center again as her character Sharon spiraled out of control. Hallucinations of Cameron (Linden Ashby) caused Sharon to commit the heinous act of killing Heather (Vail Bloom). Case gave a riveting performance as Sharon grappled with her guilt and reality of the situation. There wasn’t a dry eye when Sharon broke down at Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) grave after confessing to her crime. Case hasn’t received much love from the Emmys in the past, but this performance is deserving of a nomination.

Viewers finally heard Aristotle Dumas’ voice on the June 19 episode of The Young and the Restless. And the person he wanted to know about was… Abby? That’s odd.
Everybody knows Abby is the least interesting Newman. Even Victor, who is all about family, periodically forgets she exists. So why did Dumas ask about her specifically? We have the wildest theory yet!
Out of the Past
Abby (Melissa Ordway) is the biological child of Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Victor (Eric Braeden). But she wasn’t conceived during their marriage. She wasn’t even the result of an affair.
Ashley stole Victor’s sperm, had herself impregnated, and, for years, passed Abby off as Brad’s (Dom Diamont). When Victor found out he had to, of course, claim what was his, and Abby has been a Newman ever since. But what if…

Before fame found its way through the dark corners of Nevermore Academy to reach Jenna Ortega, the actress had already appeared in numerous Hollywood projects.
Although it was Tim Burton’s Wednesday that essentially put her name on the Hollywood map, the actress had already been involved with projects like Iron Man 3 and Insidious: Chapter 2. However, I was today years old when I realized that the iconic actress also starred in one of the longest-running shows of all time, which also starred Jensen Ackles!
Jenna Ortega was a part of Days of Our Lives!
Yeah… that show about which Matt LeBlanc’s Joey was so excited to star in during one of the episodes of Friends, that show! Iconic actress Jenna Ortega, who the world knows as Wednesday Addams, was actually a part of that sitcom!

On The Young and the Restless for Tuesday, June 3 sees Nikki’s party end in high emotion, medical drama, and bold propositions, as Kyle risks millions to win Victor over, Cole’s condition worsens, and Nick surprises Sharon with an unexpected invitation.
What Happened on Y&r?
Kyle (Michael Mealor) kicked off the night with a heartfelt toast, earning praise from Claire (Hayley Erin) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), but it didn’t melt Victor’s (Eric Braeden) icy opinion. Victor dismissed Kyle’s speech as cloying and calculated, refusing to view him as anything but an Abbott. Nikki pushed back, urging her husband to judge Kyle on his own merits, not his last name.
Undeterred, Kyle approached Victor privately at the Gcac bar. In a bold move, he pitched a contract—a “pre-prenup” of sorts—offering $5 million in damages if he ever hurt Claire. Victor was taken aback but agreed to consider it.

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease the Aristotle Dumas mystery is Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) return from Paris could shake up everyone even more.
Might she be revealed to be secretly working with Dumas, presumed to be played by the incoming Billy Flynn, who’s expected to show up fairly soon?
Home From Paris, Where She’s Been Working
Viewers should remember that Ashley has been running the Paris offices of Jabot for quite some time now-as a matter of fact, that’s where she hired Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). But it’s doubtful that Theo is the mysterious Aristotle Dumas.
However, is he someone Ashley knows and been working with secretly? One would think she’d had quite enough of secrets and secrecy after being fooled by Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) pretending to be his twin and fooling her sister Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland)!

Ashley is headed home, and if you know anything about Genoa City, her return means one thing: something big is coming. Young and the Restless spoilers tease she’s about to drop jaw-dropping news on Jack – and fans are buzzing with theories. Did New York bring her peace, or more chaos?
A Ring, a Relocation…or a Revenge Plan?
Let’s talk possibilities. The most romantic theory? Ashley (Eileen Davidson) ran into an old flame while in the Big Apple with Traci (Beth Maitland) and got swept up in a whirlwind romance. Maybe she’s returning with a shiny new ring on her finger and a new last name to match. A surprise wedding would certainly shake things up – especially if her mystery man turns out to be someone with ties to the Abbotts or the Newmans (*ahem* Dumas *ahem).
