Actor Drake Hogysten died from pancreatic cancer on September 28, 2024 at the age of 70 years. At that time, his Days of our Lives character, John Black, was offscreen on top-secret saving-the-world business. When Drake taped his last episode, the show knew he wasn’t coming back. They wrote him off a hero, and kept referring to him on-screen as being away. But now, they’re saying John is coming home. Which is a stake to the heart for fans who know that will never, ever happen now.

During a mission, a tragic mistake occurred when Roman accidentally shot and killed Milo’s wife, believing she was an adversary. This left Milo as a single father to two young children, a boy and a girl.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Orpheus’s Revenge and Steve’s Search

So, carrying over from Friday, over in Estonia, we have Orpheus (George DelHoyo), Aka Milo Harp, tormenting Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). He has a gun, he’s got her trapped. And he is taunting her about John Black (Drake Hogestyn). Obviously, he knows what’s going on. And Orpheus is an ex-Isa agent. And John was on an Isa-sanctioned mission.

So, it’s all wrapped up in some deep history about John going back to his pawn days, going back to his fake Roman days. They are really, really churning up some history. And it’s interesting. Meanwhile, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) gets busy in his search for John.

Action went down in Estonia at the Hotel Tallinn as well as what turned out to be Orpheus’ facility where the nuclear device is allegedly being held. On the Monday, March 31 episode of Days of Our Lives, Marlena got one over on Orpheus and raced to the facility just in time for Steve to make a discovery.

Subdue, Search, Recover

Orpheus (George DelHoyo) made no bones about taking the opportunity to get rid of two thorns in his side so he could go about doing his bad guy stuff in peace. He trained the gun on Marlena (Deidre Hall), and she found out what had been going on. The Isa sent John (the late Drake Hogestyn) after Orpheus, which is why he ended up in Estonia. He discovered Orpheus’ facility and infiltrated it by posing as a scientist.

Three Big Returns Paul and Andrew

The search for John (the late Drake Hogestyn) resumed in Tallinn, Estonia, with three big returns.

Paul (Christopher Sean) and Andrew (Colton Little) divided and conquered, with Paul showing up at Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) hotel room while Andrew met Steve (Stephen Nichols) at a restaurant. Marlena and Paul reconnected and reflected on Paul’s relationship with John. He remembered how things didn’t start so great for the two, but they eventually became father and son in the truest sense.

Meanwhile, Andrew and Steve’s discussion was more about the mission. Andrew lamented that he had been keeping a secret from Paul.
