Elaine Del Valle is a Brownsville, Brooklyn-bred Puerto Rican multi-hyphenate filmmaker. She is an HBO Latinx short film Director award winner. In 2022, her autobiographical film, Brownsville Bred, swept the festival circuit, winning awards at SXSW, Urbanworld, Seriesfest, DTLA, Catalyst Stories, Official Latino and Newport Beach Film Festivals. Her work has been featured in NALIP's Director & Media showcases, and her short films, Me 3.769 (2019) and Princess Cut (2020) were picked up by HBO. Elaine is passionate about bringing American Latina voices to the forefront. She is a Warnermedia 150 Artist- a program known for curating socially impactful storytellers. Her original drama pilot, The System, landed in development with CBS and Sutton Street Productions (Jane The Virgin). Elaine is an alumna of the 2022 WGA East Showrunner Academy, LAByrinth Theater Producer lab and the Sundance Institute. She is a finalist of the Lynn Shelton award and Shondaland Women's Director Program, and a two-time Imagen Impact award nominee. Elaine is an active member of SAG-AFTRA (since 1994). She studied acting at Wynn Handman Studios in New York City's Carnegie Hall, and improvisation at UCB. Elaine met critical acclaim off Broadway when she wrote and performed her autobiographical coming-of-age story (Brownsville Bred) as a one-woman show. The New York Times raved, From Girlhood Trials to Onstage Triumph.

Elaine's most recent acting roles include a recurring guest star in the ABC series Queens, and guest star roles on Fox's The Resident and USA's The Sinner. Elaine also continues to voice characters on Dora The Explorer (Nickelodeon) animated series.

Elaine owns and operates Del Valle Productions and Casting. Its productions have been on HBO, at Sundance Film Festival and have qualified for Oscars. She has produced over 50 titles and was the first person to license an interstitial series to HBO. Her company's successful casting division makes Elaine a proud member of the Casting Society of America. She has been a working casting director since 2009. With an eye on diversity, equity and inclusion, Elaine has cast hundreds of projects including for film, commercials, animation and television. She takes pride in growing the Latiné talent pool in front of and behind the camera, and encouraging at-risk youth toward a career in the arts. Elaine speaks at youth arts programs in under served communities, and has lectured at Universities, including Emerson College and UMass Amherst.
