Donald Trump announces new, recession-affected 'Apprentice' cast
Donald Trump in The Apprentice (2004)
The new season of Donald Trump and Mark Burnett's reality competition "The Apprentice" (the non-celebrity edition) returns to NBC on September 16. And while taping for the series' tenth season has already concluded, the 16 competitors are only now being revealed.

"I am very excited to have the civilian version of 'The Apprentice' back on the air this fall," Trump says, subtly pointing out that celebrities should never be mistaken for normal people. "The new edition will combine the realities of today's economic downturn with the grittiness, drama and excitement of the original series. Each of this season's 16 contestants has been hit hard by the economy and they are fighting back."

This may surprise you, but we haven't had a regular "Apprentice" since the economy took a toilet bath. The last run of the series concluded in April, 2007, so producers clearly had an especially large crop of candidate to choose from.

'10 Things' returns in March;'Secret Life,' 'Make It or Break It' renewed
The Stratford sisters and their high school suitors are back.

"10 Things I Hate About You" will return with all-new half-hour episodes on Monday, March 29 at 8 p.m. Et/Pt .

Based on the movie of the same name, the series is loosely inspired by Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" and centers on two sisters -- socially conscious Kat (Lindsey Shaw) and fun-loving, popular Bianca (Meaghan Martin) -- who deal with high school dramas, their over-protective dad (Larry Miller). Ethan peck, Nicholas Braun and Dana Davis also star.

ABC Family also announced it has renewed "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and "Make It or Break It" for the summer.

"Both returned last week to record numbers -- our Millennial audience is just so passionate about these shows and has responded to both of these dramas in such a big way," said ABC Family president Paul Lee.

This will make a...

ABC Family greelights new 'Cutting Edge'
ABC Family has greenlighted "The Cutting Edge: Fire & Ice," the fourth installment in the MGM-produced ice skating franchise that started with the 1992 feature "The Cutting Edge."

Following a direct-to-video sequel "The Cutting Edge: Going for Gold," the franchise moved to TV with ABC Family's 2008 movie "The Cutting Edge: Chasing a Dream" starring Francia Raisa as hockey player-turned-figure skater Alex Delgado.

In "Fire & Ice," Alex segues into teaching after her skating career comes to an abrupt halt when her partner on and off the ice is injured.

This time around, Raisa is joined by Brendan Fehr, who stars as James Van Behr, the smoldering bad boy of speedskating, who pairs up with Alex. The film chronicles the duo's grueling practice regimen and tempestuous relationship as they prepare for competition.

Stephen Herek ("Mr. Holland's Opus") is directing from a script by Holly Brix. Craig Roessler, Sara Berrisford and Hudson Hickman are exec producing.
