The cast of NCIS has changed over the years, especially since all the original main cast members have left the series. Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Dr. Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) are the last two stars from NCIS Season 1. Although they were initially recurring characters, their appearances were enough to earn them bigger roles, and eventually be part of the main cast. In Jimmy's case, he was a replacement Medical Examiner Assistant to Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum). Ducky's original assistant, Gerald Jackson (Pancho Demmings), was on leave after being shot by Ziva David's (Cote de Pablo) half-brother, Ari Hiswari (Rudolf Martin). When Ari returned to use Gerald as a hostage again after killing Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander), Jimmy officially became Ducky's permanent assistant.

Throughout its massive run on network TV, NCIS has garnered a long list of defining moments. While NCIS is a procedural TV show that focuses on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, decades of NCIS characters are at the heart of the series, and their stories serve as milestones of the franchise's journey. The series' ability to create genuinely shocking moments while ushering new personalities in and out of the NCIS story makes it tick, from Sasha Alexander's Kate Todd to Mark Harmon's Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
The team's NCIS season 22 roster Katrina Law's Jessica Knight, Gary Cole's Alden Parker, Wilmer Valderrama's Nick Torres could take over the TV series because their predecessors were sent off with intention and purpose, allowing audiences to justify a new configuration of special agents. Many of NCIS' defining moments are those where characters' positions are in flux, causing a collective processing...

Ari Haswari is a pivotal antagonist in NCIS, setting the scene for the franchise's future with ties to Ziva David. NCIS: Tony & Ziva will explore the characters further, including Ari's impact on Ziva's story and character development. Rudolf Martin's portrayal of Ari in NCIS episodes like "Bte Noire" and "Kill Ari" was crucial in shaping the show's history.
While it's been nearly two decades since he originated on NCIS, Ari Haswari remains the series' most crucial antagonist. Rudolf Martin's character is elemental in setting the scene for the future of NCIS at one of the most pivotal times in the franchise's history. Martin portrays an Israeli-born, rogue Mossad officer. He is initially protected by Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano) and the FBI, even though he puts the original NCIS characters in danger. But it's eventually revealed that Ari has betrayed Israel, with major significance to the series due to Ari's ties to his half-sister,...

A widow is called by her supposedly dead marine husband and his body needs to be exhumed to determine if he's really dead. Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Kate (Sasha Alexander) at the shooting range where Tony shoots the hostage's ear, but at least the hostage will live. Gibbs (Mark Harmon) tells him he shot with confidence, Tony's just getting warmed up. Gibbs places Tony's NCIS cap on the target and Kate's Pda on the other target. Tony spent 3 months breaking it in. Kate's Pda contains her whole life. Kate comments to Tony that they should break into Gibbs' basement and set his boat alight, er Kate, his basement is open as is his front door, there's no need to break in, thought she would've known that but Kate never did see Gibbs' basement so far as we know. Then Gibbs repeats to Tony what Kate said about not shooting his cap as he loves it.

One of Gibbs' former agents contacts him for help with a case involving sailors who have died from drug overdoses aboard an aircraft carrier. Gibbs (Mark Harmon)gets a phone call from his former agent Stan Burleigh,(Joel Gretsch) so we could have an episode where Tony (Michael Weatherly) feels jealous and out of sorts at not being one of Gibbs' fave agents. He still calls Gibbs boss. He worked with Gibbs for 5 years and Abby (Pauley Perrette) still misses him. He was cool, which makes Tony juvenile cool, ha. Tony has to mention working with Gibbs for 5 years, must be a record. Also being sarcastic that Burleigh didn't end up in a strait jacket. Burleigh, like Tony was/is into sports. Gibbs and Burleigh weren't really like Gibbs and Tony. He does have a soft spot for Tony, but Burleigh appeared to be on more of an equal footing with Gibbs.

A navy commander washes up on the beach along with two dead drug runners, but there's more to this case than just simple drugs. Tony's (Michael Weatherly) complaining about the sexual harassment seminar. He doesn't want to sit through one of those. We did get to see an actual seminar in season 4.11 Driven which was attended by all of the team, minus Kate (Sasha Alexander) of course. That was fun to watch. Kate: "You mean they actually teach you guys how to harass, kiddin' - except for Tony." Didn't know what to make of this comment, was she really kidding, or was she being flippant? It's not like she hasn't been through the rigours of sexual harassment in her previous job. The thing about Kate is she can be as irritating as anything and the other thing is I liked Kate the first time I watched the show, but the...

The pilot of NCIS was written and filmed in such a way, that if you hadn't seen the introductory episodes, which were in season 8 of Jag (TV) then you wouldn't be missing out on anything, since everything was explained again and we got to meet the characters too, which was good since as I said in the later episodes, not everyone got an opportunity to watch the intro episodes. Also Kate (Sasha Alexander) wasn't in the intro episode either, so we didn't miss a thing there. The Pilot was thrilling and fast paced, if only they hadn't made small boo-boos like Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Fornell (Joe Spano) not knowing each other here and then they do in later episodes where it's suggested they have a past, because of Gibbs' second ex-wife. Love my joke about the Pilot episode having planes in these and pilots! But I would, like Tony,...
