Greg DePaul is a playwright and screenwriter who grew up in Maryland and graduated from N.Y.U. After college, he worked as a private investigator and wrote for The Washington Post. In 1998, Greg moved to L.A., where he directed his comic play, Motherlove, to rave reviews. Greg partnered with writer Hank Nelken when they were hired by CAA to make a short film spoofing "Jerry Maguire"; it was called "Jerry Mashugana" and starred Matt Damon, Geoffrey Rush and Demi Moore. Greg and Hank were soon hired to write comedy scripts for New Line, Fox, MGM and Disney. They wrote Saving Silverman, starring Jack Black, Jason Biggs and Amanda Peet, which was released by Sony Pictures and Village Roadshow Productions. Their feature comedy, Killer Bud, was produced independently.

Greg now writes solo. His most recent screen credit is for Bride Wars, starring Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Candace Bergen. Greg got the idea for Bride Wars when he and his wife, Dvora Inwood, were engaged and planning a double wedding with her sister, also engaged. As the two brides sparred over the band, the cake, the dresses ... the concept for Bride Wars was born.

Greg has served on the Board of the Writers and Actors Lab, which spawned the careers of many successful writers, and co-founded The Clark Street Players, a similar group. He has performed improv comedy and co-founded Cornfed, an improv group.

Recently, Greg's plays and sketch comedy have been performed by the The Collective NY, a theatre company in Manhattan. He also led a screenwriting workshop for Harvardwood (NY), a group of Harvard alumni in the entertainment world.
