Frank Sinatra: Our Way - Did you like BBC One's crooning competition?
BBC One's Frank Sinatra: Our Way saw seven relatively unknown acts from across the UK performing covers of Sinatra classics.

After singing in front of a panel of judges (consisting of Rufus Hound, Mica Paris, Leo Green and Dave Stewart), the winner was then decided and won the chance to perform at a special Frank Sinatra centenary concert in 2015.

But what did you think of BBC One's tribute to Sinatra? Digital Spy rounds up reactions on Twitter below:

It may only be the 3rd of January but I think we have already found our 'Worst Show of 2015' #FrankSinatraOurWay

"A show where strangers sing awful versions of Frank Sinatra songs?" #FrankSinatraOurWay pic.twitter.com/ls0rjNA4wf

And now the end is near. I'm switching over #FrankSinatraOurWay

This #FrankSinatraOurWay show is giving me chest pains.

Like Water (2011)
Alfonso Arau readies period-romance
Like Water (2011)
Exclusive: Germany-set drama and TV mini-series in works.

Like Water Like Chocolate director Alfonso Arau is in development with Bagdad Café writer Chris Doherty on 1930’s-set drama The Crime of Love, about an illicit love affair between two German officers in Nazi Germany.

Carsten Lorenz is on board to produce the project, which is being exced by Mark Holdon with Arri Worldwide in talks to handle sales.

“I was looking for a great love story,” Arau told Screen. “Germany in the 1930s was such an interesting and intense period in history that I knew I wanted to set this love story at that time.”

“This project, like the greatest romance of all, Romeo and Juliet, is about real love in a world where such love is prohibited.”

Arau’s hit romance-drama Like Water for Chocolate was nominated for a BAFTA in 1994.

Latest directorial effort L’imbroglio nel lenzuolo (2010) starred Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Geraldine Chaplin.

Arau and exec...

Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and B.J. Novak in The Office (2005)
'Scranton Is The Backbone Of What We're Doing'
Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, and B.J. Novak in The Office (2005)
Scranton, Pa. — NBC's long-running "The Office" was a faux documentary about cubicle life. The Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin Paper Co. didn't exist.

Try telling that to merchants, tourism officials and regular folks here in the real-world city of 76,000, for whom the Emmy-winning comedy – which ends its nine-season run next week – had a tangible and lasting impact.

Even though "The Office" was shot in California, it was set in Scranton, and every "Office" booze cruise on Lake Wallenpaupack, shopping excursion to the Steamtown mall and after-work party at Poor Richard's Pub meant real cash in real registers as the show's intensely loyal fans flocked to northeastern Pennsylvania to see where their favorite characters lived, worked and played.

"If people weren't talking about Scranton before this show aired," said Tracy Barone, executive director of the Lackawanna County Convention and Visitors Bureau, "they were talking about it afterward."

Plenty of TV series...

Chris Brown Has Pre-Grammy Car Crash Because Of Paparazzi, Paparazzi Deny Involvement
To see Chris Brown and Rihanna smiling and looking happy in their coupledom at the Grammys, one wouldn’t think that the bad boy singer was in a nasty car crash just hours prior to the event. Breezy was driving around in his Porsche this Saturday in L.A when he got mobbed by paparazzi. A spokesperson for the singer explained their side of the story in a detailed statement that read, “The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his [Brown's] vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley, at which point he was cut off by two additional vehicles. Chris’ vehicle was totaled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi. He is okay.” We may not be the biggest Brown fans, but if this is what actually went down, then it crosses this line in so many different ways.
