The Florida Republican Party is selling merchandise promoting its new migrant detention camp in the Florida Everglades. Dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz” by its proponents, Republicans are salivating at the prospect of subjecting undocumented migrants to brutal conditions in giant plastic tents situated in the oppressive heat and humidity of backwater Florida.
“The feds have greenlit Alligator Alcatraz — Florida’s gator-guarded, python-patrolled prison for illegal aliens who thought they could game the system,” reads a fundraising email from the Florida GOP. “Surrounded by miles of swamp and bloodthirsty wildlife, this ain’t no vacation spot.

Steve Doocy was back on Fox and Friends on Friday morning (May 16) as he kicked off his new coast-to-coast gig; however, viewers are split on whether Doocy’s latest role is right for him. Earlier this month, the long-time Fox News host announced he would be stepping away from the “curvy couch” after 27 years as co-host of Fox and Friends. However, he told viewers he wouldn’t be leaving for good, as he would now be appearing remotely, covering various assignments from Florida and surrounding states. Doocy’s first coast-to-coast assignment aired on Friday’s show, which saw him riding a horse at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, where he was promoting Kid Rock‘s Rock N Rodeo show, which kicks off on Friday night. “I’m starting my new assignment as coast-to-coast host doing something that has never been seen on Fox and Friends,” Doocy said as...

Steve will now be based in Florida and do three days a week on the show.

Steve Doocy, the longtime co-host of Fox & Friends, said that he will be moving to a new, out-of-stufio role with a schedule of fewer days in the week.
“Today is the last day I will host this show from the couch. I am not retiring,” Doocy told viewers. I am not leaving the show. I am still a host, but it is time for a change.” He said that he will move to a three-day-a-week schedule and will be based in Florida, where he will do out-of-studio segments from there and elsewhere.
Brian Kilmeade, Ainsley Earhardt and Lawrence Jones will continue to co-host from New York.
Doocy has been a co-host on the show since 1998, the year it premiered, and has been with Fox News since 1996, the year it launched.

The usually Maga-friendly Fox and Friends has started to show concern over President Donald Trump‘s trade tariffs, with co-host Steve Doocy claiming major Republican donors are “terrified.” On Wednesday’s (April 9) show, the panel discussed the political and economic impact of Trump’s new trade policies, with correspondent Chad Pergram reporting, “Democrats are adamant that the president is wrecking the economy. They ask why the U.S. applied tariffs on allies which agreed to the Usmca. That’s the trade pact implemented by the president during his first term.” The discussion came just as China imposed 84% tariffs on the United States (an increase from 34%), a response to Trump’s levies of 104% on Chinese goods. As the trade wars continue to intensify and the stock market continues to plummet, the fears of recession grow. “Given the fact that China’s now going to have an 84 percent tariff on U.S.

“Fox & Friends” was not laughing at Tom Hanks’ portrayal of a racist President Trump fan during the “SNL50” special on Sunday.
On Monday morning, co-host Lawrence Jones said he doesn’t “censor comedy, but that wasn’t funny.”
Fellow “F&f” co-host Kayleigh McEnany felt the same way, saying “SNL” “must have gotten the script from Don Lemon.”
“Remember when he made fun of Maga voters, or his guest did for not being able to point out a country on the map? That’s ridiculous,” she said.
Hanks played a man named “Tracy” who was wearing one of President Trump’s trademark red Make America Great Again hats while appearing on “Black Jeopardy,” but it was actually a recurring bit — Hanks played the same character on “SNL” before in a “Black Jeopardy” sketch in 2016. The original sketch is the second most-watched “SNL” sketch of all time.

Not even Trump’s staffers are on board with the President’s plan for the U.S. to “take over” the Gaza Strip. “The Daily Show” host and senior correspondent Desi Lydic proved that by showing off a memorable reaction shot of Trump’s current Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles.
On Wednesday, Trump suggested that the Palestinian territory known as the Gaza Strip be redeveloped as a “Riviera of the Middle East” owned by America. Trump then said the territory’s residents would be “resettled” elsewhere. These statements have caused ripples of panic across the world as both sides in the war between Israel and Hamas just recently agreed to a temporary ceasefire in January.
While he has since walked back that plan, the temporary panic was still present in Trump’s own party.
“Even his Chief of Staff was shocked,” Lydic said on Wednesday night before flashing a picture of Wiles.

Two Fox News hosts and at least one other journalist have captured and shared their own photos and videos of the mysterious drones flying with increasing intensity around New Jersey and elsewhere in the past few weeks, with one saying he saw a craft that was as big as a school bus hovering 100 feet off the ground in Montclair.
“Fox & Friends” host Steve Doocy told his co-hosts Tuesday that he has observed the flying craft multiple times now, coming in “low, they’re about 100 yards, flying over my backyard. … They are buzzing overhead all the time. The scary part is when they stop. They just kind of hover for a little while.”
The FBI, New Jersey State Police and other agencies are scrambling to identify the strange craft, described as “SUV-sized,” able to avoid radar detection and so far elusive to all interception efforts, as helicopters are advised to stay away.

Updated: With reports that Donald Trump is eyeing potential alternatives to Pete Hegseth as defense secretary, some of the former Fox & Friends Weekend host’s colleagues attempted to give him a boost.
Hegseth’s nomination faces new doubts in the wake of media reports about alleged drinking episodes, financial mismanagement and the settlement of a woman’s claim that he sexually assaulted her.
Hegseth’s mother Penelope appeared on Fox & Friends this morning and blasted The New York Times for publishing a leaked 2018 email in which she wrote to her son that they were “broken by your behavior and your lack of character.” Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy read a portion of the email during her appearance.

Pete Hegseth is attempting to defend himself against a slew of misconduct allegations that threaten his nomination as Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense — with some help from his mom.
Penelope Hegseth appeared on Fox & Friends on Wednesday to defend her son’s nomination and counteract the damage done by the public release of a 2018 email in which she called him an “abuser of women,” and decried his treatment of his second wife during their divorce.
Pete Hegseth was a Fox News host for years before Trump nominated him to lead the Pentagon.

Alec Baldwin “really liked” returning to “Saturday Night Live” last month to impersonate Bret Baier, the Fox News host told “Fox & Friends” on Monday.
Recalling an impromptu Sunday night run-in with the Emmy-winning actor, Baier said that Baldwin approached him in the middle of dinner and was “gracious” in their “nice conversation.”
Baldwin memorably played Baier in a spoof of the journalist’s interview with Vice President Kamala Harris in the Oct. 19 episode of “SNL,” marking his return to the sketch comedy series since his four-year stint playing former President Donald Trump — and his legal battle in the aftermath of the fatal “Rust” shooting.
“You don’t have to answer, but you told me in the green room about a brush with a celebrity. Do you want to reveal this?” Steve Doocy asked while closing out Monday’s “Fox & Friends” segment with the “Special Report With Bret Baier” host.

Not many people who work at Fox News Channel get to push back at Sean Hannity. Lawrence Jones is one of them.
When Jones was just getting started at the Fox Corp.-backed conservative-leaning news outlet, Hannity took him under his wing, and offered advice, even the chance to start appearing on his well-watched primetime program. At first, “I told him no,” Jones recalls, “I’m more libertarian. You’re more conservative. I just want to be able to do what I do.” Hannity told him the pair could use their differences to create interesting segments. “We will make it a thing on TV,” Jones remembers being told.
Lawrence Jones continues to do things differently at Fox News Channel. At 31, he is decidedly younger than many of the network’s best-known personalities. He is one of just a handful of people of color who hold regular posts on the Fox News schedule.

Humiliating himself with his conduct interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris earlier this week, Bret Baier probably won’t find the bracing cold open of Saturday Night Live tonight very amusing. As the Fox News anchor was during his sit-down with the VP on October 16, Baier will be in the wrong.
“The pleasure is neither of ours,” said Maya Rudolph’s Harris to the Alec Baldwin-portrayed Baier in the very funny and sharp cold open. Yes, you read that right: Alec Baldwin.
In a bit of shocker, this is longtime Donald Trump-playing Baldwin’s first return to SNL since his involuntary manslaughter trial for the fatal 2021 shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was tossed out because of suppressed evidence by New Mexico prosecutors. Fox News denied that any of its staffers supplied material for Donald Trump at the Al Smith Dinner on Thursday night, despite the former president’s claim on the network that “a couple people from Fox” provided jokes for his performance.
Trump made the claim during an appearance on Fox & Friends, where co-host Steve Doocy told him that his “material was really funny. Who wrote it?”

Fox News said no employee of or freelancer for the network penned jokes for former president Donald Trump’s speech at Thursday night’s Al Smith Dinner fundraiser — contrary to claims Trump made on the network’s air Friday morning.

Fox Weather meteorologist Bob Van Dillen interrupted a live broadcast out of Atlanta to save a woman screaming for help, trapped in her car in a flood caused by Hurricane Helene.
Van Dillen was reporting just after 7 a.m. from Peachtree Creek in North Atlanta, where a rising flood had trapped a woman in her car. As the woman called for help, Van Dillen assured her that 911 had been called and first responders were on the way. A Fox Weather meteorologist broke away from a live “Fox & Friends” report on Friday morning to save a woman who was trapped in her submerged car and screaming for help, eventually wading into the chest-deep water and hauling her to safety.
Bob Van Dillen was doing a live hit from Atlanta around 7 a.m. about the widespread flooding caused by Hurricane Helene, showing a vehicle that got caught in the rising creek bed in the background. That’s when he was interrupted by the woman’s cries for help.
With the live-shot still rolling, Dillen yelled to the woman that 9-1-1 had been called, and fire trucks are heard in the distance. But as the sirens faded and her screams became more frantic, Dillen ended the standup and decided to take action.

Former President Donald Trump appeared to be opening the door again to a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris that is not sponsored by Fox News.
Over the weekend, Trump floated a Sept. 4 debate on Fox News, and claimed that a previously scheduled Sept. 10 ABC News event had been “terminated.” He also wrote that he will “see her on September 4th, or I won’t see her at all.”
That was interpreted as Trump backing out of the ABC News event, as Harris’ campaign claimed that he was “running scared” and “running straight to Fox News to bail him out.”
On Fox and Friends this morning, Trump suggested that something was in the works, albeit he hinted that it would not be on the network.
“We’ll be debating her in the pretty near future. It’s going to be announced fairly soon,” Trump said. “I would like to see it on Fox,...

Donald Trump‘s national security adviser, John Bolton, said that the former president wants Americans to treat him like North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
Bolton shared in the X post a 2018 video of Trump talking to the Fox News host Steve Doocy days after his Singapore summit meeting with Kim.
“Are we close to seeing Mr. Kim here at the White House,” Doocy asked in the recording.
“It could happen,” Trump replied.
Trump then went on to compliment the North Korean supreme leader.
“He’s the head of a country,” Trump stated in the clip. “And I mean, he is the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different.
“He speaks, and his people sit up at attention,” he claimed. “I want my people to do the same.”

The big bipartisan border reform deal is all but dead, thanks to Maga Republicans obeying Donald Trump’s wishes to kill it. The legislation delivered many of the immigration measures conservatives have long wanted, but the former president and his allies in Congress worry progress on the issue would make Joe Biden look good ahead of the presidential election. Therefore, addressing what Republicans say is the most pressing crisis facing America today is going to have to wait until a later date when the party feels it’s more politically expedient.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade was caught on a hot mic calling a congressman a “dumbass” for voting for Kevin McCarthy during Tuesday’s Speaker vote, and Seth Meyers got a pretty big kick out of that on Wednesday night, pointing out some irony.
As part of his “Closer Look” segment, Meyers once again roasted Republicans for not being able to decide on a House Speaker, calling up footage of GOP politicians publicly shaming their own party. But then, he pulled up a clip of Kilmeade — or rather, Kilmeade’s voice — shaming Rep. Don Bacon specifically.
The footage is of the live vote in the House but, as Bacon is called on to give his vote, Kilmeade is clearly heard saying “dumbass” after the congressman doesn’t say Jim Jordan’s name.
“Do you know how bad things are for you when Brian Kilmeade is calling you a dumbass?” Meyers mocked with a laugh.

Saturday Night Live this weekend began with a parody of the morning news show Fox & Friends as a cold open. The sketch featured Heidi Gardner as Ainsley Earhardt, Mikey Day as Steve Doocy and Bowen Yang as Brian Kilmeade.
The hosts had a laugh about the $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News by Dominion Voting Systems over the television network’s unsubstantiated claims of election fraud.
Dominion has submitted numerous texts and emails between Fox News hosts that criticize their own reporting as evidence. The channel has claimed that these conversations were taken out of context.
They also addressed media mogul and Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch, who admitted that the channel promoted election fraud conspiracies that they were aware were false for higher ratings.
They then talked with MyPillow guy Mike Lindell (James Austin Johnson), who is one of the network’s major sponsors and a known conspiracy theorist about the 2020 election.

“Saturday Night Live” focused on Dominion Voting Systems’ ongoing defamation lawsuit against Fox News for the cold open this week, and unfortunately, the fake “Fox & Friends” hosts couldn’t keep their lawsuit details straight. As a result, Heidi Gardner’s Ainsley Earhardt mistook Fox CEO Rupert Murdoch for convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh.

As Bowen Yang as co-host Brian Kilmeade put it: “Per a company-wide email we got this morning, he’s dead to us.”

Dave Chappelle’s opening monologue on Saturday Night Live tackled Kanye “Ye” West’s antisemitic comments, as well as Donald Trump and the midterm elections.
The comedian began by reading a statement he said he prepared. “I denounce antisemitism in all its forms. And I stand with my friends in the Jewish community,” he said, before adding, “And that, Kanye, is how you buy yourself some time.”
Chappelle spent much of his set taking aim at West and how the rapper and fashion mogul thought he was untouchable until Adidas, among other business partners, dropped him after a series of antisemitic comments posted to social media. “Ironically, Addias was founded by Nazis and even they were offended,” he said.

As Rupert Murdoch-owned outlets noticeably pinned the blame for the Republicans’ midterm losses on Donald Trump, Saturday Night Live spoofed Fox & Friends as its tried to break the news to the former Celebrity Apprentice host that he was no longer their favorite guest.
“Mr. President. I don’t know how to tell you this. But we have moved on. We can’t have you on the show anymore,” Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt (played by Heidi Gardner) told Donald Trump (James Austin Johnson) in the aftermath of the Republicans dashed hopes of a red wave.
“What? What did I do?” Trump asked them. “Was it the insurrection?”
He then goes through a series of moments of the past seven years that had many in the media predicting his demise — the impeachment, “blackmailing Ukraine,” Charlottesville, an unbuilt wall — only to see him in the GOP’s continued embrace, and with it Murdoch’s empire.

Each weekday on MSNBC, Nicolle Wallace examines the biggest issues in politics. But on Peacock, she’s about to get a little personal.
In a four-part miniseries now available on the NBCUniversal streaming hub, the one-time White House Communications Director and host of MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House” is launching the first entry in “Deadline: Special Report,” a series of deep dives into issues she might not typically cover during her late-afternoon cable shift. Wallace interviews actors Taraji P. Henson and Rosie Perez, as well as Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, about mental health and how to make it more a part of the national conversation. Viewers of the Peacock series, executive produced by Patrick Burkey, will also see Wallace interview a doctor who has pioneered a novel approach to mental health care inside and outside the classroom
