According to the Associated Press the Presidential Inaugural Committee hopes to keep the song selection a mystery. Linda Douglas, a spokeswoman for the Committee tells AP: "It is our hope that we can keep the song secret until the moment." Beyonce has expressed her desire to be a part of the inauguration since Obama was elected and she told a reporter in November: "Whatever they want -- if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready."
