Marissa Bode had quite the introduction to San Diego Comic-Con Thursday night.

Not only was it the first time the “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good” star attended the San Diego convention, but she was also a judge at the 11th annual Her Universe Fashion show..

Co-hosted by Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein and Broadway star Michael James Scott, the show’s theme was “Defying Fashion: Fashion That Defies Expectations” and featured 25 “geek couture” designers pulling inspiration from Universal properties.

The judging panel named Lynleigh Sato winner for her colorful “Trolls”-inspired look while the audience picked Caitlin Beards’ black and gold “The Mummy” gown.

Per Inverse, several profiles on Independent Talent have revealed the names of four filmmakers working on Ahsoka season 2, including showrunner Dave Filoni, Jennifer Getzinger, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Anders Engström. The all-new animated anthology series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is coming next month to Disney Plus, giving fans fresh perspectives on beloved characters from The Clone Wars.

Creator Dave Filoni announced earlier this year that he was working on Tales of the Jedi and that the series would focus on Ahsoka Tano’s and Dooku’s journeys at various points in the Star Wars timeline.

Out came Ashley Eckstein, who is back voicing Ahsoka Tano. Only, it's not exactly the Ahsoka we're expecting, as she will be a Lego BrickHeadz, as seen in the Season 2 poster below and on StarWars.com.

Star Wars Celebration 2025 continued in Japan today, with details and exclusive first looks at the return of Disney+’s Andor and Ahsoka, as well as exciting news about a new Lego Star Wars sequel special. The animated Lego Star Wars series, Rebuild the Galaxy, is adding another two key pieces. At Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, Japan, today, Lucasfilm announced that a new special is on its way: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past. The cast for that special will include an important part of Star Wars animation history, and a deep cut from the long history of Star Wars comic books. Ashley Eckstein will reprise her animated role of Ahsoka Tano (in Lego BrickHeadz form), and Ben Schwartz is expected to play the rascally alien rabbit Jaxxon.

One of the pleasures of Tony Gilroy’s “Andor” is how standalone it feels within the “Star Wars” universe. It is a rare prequel that manages to make you afraid for characters you know damn well survive until the end — of the series, anyway — and employs a distinct, sophisticated tone that uncovers wholly new facets of its galaxy far, far away. It is inherently “Star Wars,” but also unlike anything in the franchise.

Star Wars fans just received a surprise trailer drop from Lucasfilm. The production company has unveiled the next installment in its Tales anthology series, Tales of the Underworld, which will hit Disney+ this May for Star Wars Day.

Tales of the Underworld will follow the same format as the animated series' previous two entries — Tales of the Jedi and Tales of the Empire — focusing on two well-known characters in the Star Wars galaxy. This time around, the six-episode season will shine the spotlight on two fan-favorite and notorious bounty hunters: "former dark side assassin Asajj Ventress as she’s given a new chance at life and must go on the run with an unexpected new ally, and outlaw Cad Bane as he faces his past when he confronts an old friend, now a marshal on the other side of the law," according to the logline. Two beloved Star Warscharacters return in the first trailer for Star Wars: Tails of the Underworld. Disney+ is getting ready to celebrate May 4th, commonly known as "Star Wars Day". Fashion brand Her Universe has partnered with Universal Pictures for its 11th annual fashion show, set to take place at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

The Her Universe Fashion Show 2025 Presented by Universal will celebrate the studio’s hit musical film adaptation Wicked and “the best in ‘pop-u-lar’ geek couture fashion.”

Her Universe, founded by actress Ashley Eckstein in 2010, is described as a “fandom fashion company and lifestyle brand.” The company aims to “cultivate a fandom-centric community powered by women to be authentically themselves and celebrate what they love by designing quality, fandom-centric, size-inclusive, stylish merchandise.”

The event will feature designers from around the country taking part in the fashion show competition, with the ultimate prize of designing a special apparel collection with Her Universe. In celebration of Wicked, the theme will be “Defying Fashion: Fashion That Defies Expectations.” The audience will help choose one of the winners, along with an expert panel of judges.

The true meaning of the "Mortis arc" from Star Wars: The Clone Wars has been among the top Star Wars fan debates for years now. This Ahsoka feature focuses on how Lucasfilm's creative team, including Legacy Effects, recreated Ahsoka for her own show. It explores the ways Lucasfilm improved Ahsoka's design, particularly her incredibly expressive montrals, which had improved massively. Even Ahsoka's costume had been subtly redesigned, made sleeker and more dimensional to help it work better in live-action; the redesign gave Rosario Dawson more flexibility and greater range.

George Lucas made one terrible decision for Ahsoka Tano that remains problematic to this daybut Star Wars has luckily found ways to fix it. Ahsoka was introduced in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie, which in turn led to her role as a major character in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV show. Although Ahsoka was initially poorly received, in part because many took issue with Anakin Skywalker being given a Padawan, Ahsoka's popularity grew exponentially, and she is now largely considered one of Star Wars' best characters.

Ahsoka has since appeared in some of Star Wars' best TV shows, including Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka, among others. With Ahsoka season 2 in the works, her story is clearly not done yet. Despite her continually growing importance and popularity, though, one aspect of Ahsoka Tano's Star Wars history was particularly unfortunate, and Star Wars has had to find ways to address it.

Star Wars Rebels launched an exciting new chapter in the Star Wars saga, pushing forward the franchise's animated storytelling. Starting five years before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Rebels told the story of the Spectres, a small group of rebels who would go on to become part of the larger Rebel Alliance. Taking place so close to the original Star Wars trilogy, the series was able to revisit several familiar characters from the early movies, as well as continuing the stories of several characters last seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Additionally, Rebels brought plenty of new faces -- with new voices -- into the galaxy far, far away.

At the heart of Rebels was a family of new heroes, voiced by newcomers to the Star Wars galaxy. Jedi survivor Kanan Jarrus was voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr., previously known for his work in the live-action Scooby Doo movies.

With Star Wars Rebels turning ten this year, we've had a decade's worth of stellar performances from Lucasfilm Animation. From the return of The Clone Wars to the newest outing from the Lego Star Wars miniseries Rebuild the Galaxy, let's dive into which voice actors brought out the best performances.

Ashley Eckstein -- best known among Star Wars fans for acting as the original voice for Ahsoka Tano in several Lucasfilm animated series -- is teaming up with Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels executive producer Henry Gilroy on her upcoming untitled audio drama project.

According to Collider, Gilroy joins the project alongside both Eckstein (who will executive produce and star in the audio drama) and Jeff Gomez, who will co-produce.

First announced in 2023, this audio drama will be the first in a new Disney-Lucasfilm IP that will likely expand into other projects in the coming years.
