Exclusive: L.A.-based company Apollo Management International (Ami) has launched a boutique sales division focused on indie features with notable cast and strong festival positioning.

Its inaugural slate comprises a quartet of titles spanning Sheridan O’Donnell’s Little Brother (outside of U.S.), Miguel Duran’s Adventure Tom, Vivian Kerr’s Scrap and Chris Messineo’s The Strange Dark.

“After nearly a decade in talent management and indie producing, launching the sales arm of Apollo management international was a very intentional move,” said Ami founder Greg Bekkers.

“I’ve spent years watching talented filmmakers and great films get lost in the noise, either mispositioned, undersold, or stuck in the wrong hands. I wanted to build something that doesn’t just sell movies but actually helps them reach the audiences they were made for.”

Series creators and showrunnners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky announced the renewal Tuesday evening at an Emmy FYC screening in Los Angeles.

The pickup for the Emmy-winning comedy from Universal Television comes two days before its fourth season finale. The fourth season of the hit Max comedy premiered on April 10 with its first two episodes. Rahimi will make her debut on the series in the fourth episode, which airs on April 24. The 10-episode season of the Emmy-winning comedy debuts with two episodes, then one episode a week for four weeks. Episodes seven and eight debut together on May 15, followed by episode nine on May 22. The season finale debuts on May 29.

For the new season, Hacks has lured Hacks Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb, Robby Hoffman, and Eric Balfour for guest starring roles.

“Hacks” is expanding its cast for Season 4. Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins and 11 others have been added to the Max original as guest stars.

Little is known about the roles five of these guest stars will be playing. Nicholson is best known for her roles in “Paradise” and “I, Tonya.” As for Watkins, she previously starred in “Casual” and “Search Party.” They will be joined by other guest stars Bresha Webb (“Run the World”) and Eric Balfour as well as Robby Hoffman, who previously wrote for “The Chris Gethard Show” and “Workin’ Moms.”

As for the remaining six, they will guest star as writers on Deborah Vance’s (Jean Smart) new late night show. Erich Anderson, the familiar character actor who made his film debut in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, played Keri Russell’s father on Felicity and recurred on shows from Steven Bochco, has died. He was 67.

Anderson died Saturday after a “brutal struggle with cancer,” his wife of 21 years, actress Saxon Trainor, and her brother-in-law, Michael O’Malley, announced in an Instagram post.

In Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984), Anderson portrayed Rob Dier, who while attempting to avenge his sister’s death meets his brutal end at the hands of Jason in a basement.

He appeared as Dr. Edward Porter, father of Russell’s Felicity Porter, in the 1998 pilot for Felicity, then returned for eight more episodes of the WB network show during its four-season run through 2002.

His death was announced on social media by wife and actor Saxon Trainor.

Launching his film career in 1984 with a role in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Anderson was also featured at the same time in the TV series Bay City Blues. TV guest appearances kept him busy for the next years, with roles on The Paper Chase, Tour of Duty, and Quantum Leap, among others.

In 1990 he landed a recurring role that would become one of his most recognizable: On seven episodes of thirtysomething, he played Billy Sidel, a romantic partner for Polly Draper’s Ellyn Warren. After a sometimes rocky path, the two characters were married late in the series.

Eleanor and Francis also had an elder son, Gian-Carlo, who passed away in 1986 as the age of 22.

In the musical mockumentary series starring Nat and Alex Wolff as fictionalized versions of themselves, Dimeco played the former’s love interest, Rosalina.
