Last August, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul called for a meticulous reexamination of the oldest missing-teens case in America following a Rolling Stone investigation detailing decades of police incompetence and misfeasance.
Fifty-one years ago this week, 16-year-old Brooklyn resident Mitchel Weiser and his 15-year-old girlfriend Bonnie Bickwit disappeared in connection with Summer Jam — one of the biggest concerts in rock history featuring the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers, and the Band.

WME has acquired BDA Sports Management in a deal that will elevate BDA leader Bill Duffy to head of basketball representation for WME Sports.
WME invested in BDA Sports Management in 2020. The buyout unveiled Thursday brings Duffy and his operations into the WME fold. BDA at present represents such hoops stars as Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Dončić, the Toronto Raptors’ Scottie Barnes, Oklahoma City Thunders’ Chet Holmgren, the New York Knicks’ Rj Barrett, Anfernee Simons of the Portland Trail Blazers and Grant Williams of the Boston Celtics.
“It is hard to name a basketball agent more respected across the league than Bill. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him and his team fully join WME Sports as we continue this chapter of tremendous growth,” said Karen Brodkin and Josh Pyatt, co-heads of WME Sports. “BDA has been a great addition to WME Sports as a whole and we’re...

WME has acquired full ownership of BDA Sports Management, which has built up a formidable client list of NBA players during its 25 years in business.
BDA founder Bill Duffy will join WME Sports as head of its basketball division and BDA agents, staff and clients will be under the WME umbrella after the official close of the deal.
In 2020, WME had taken a minority position in BDA, which was founded in 1998 and has repped many top-tier players, among them 30 NBA Draft lottery picks, 44 All-Stars and 15 winners of an NBA title. BDA’s current roster includes more than 40 NBA players, among them Luka Dončić, Scottie Barnes, Rj Barrett and Deandre Ayton.

WME has unveiled a deal to acquire the remaining stake in BDA Sports Management that it does not already own in the sports representation firm, and plans to make agent Bill Duffy head of the basketball division at WME Sports.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Beverly Hills-based agency earlier bought a minority stake in the Black-owned sports agency that Duffy founded more than 30 years ago, and as chairman and CEO advised WME Sports’ basketball representation practice before cementing ties.
BDA agents, staff and clients will operate under WME Sports once the deal closes as scheduled on April 1.

“See the whole board,” a chess-instructing Martin Sheen’s President Josiah Bartlet tells Rob Lowe’s Sam Seaborn in HBO Max’s A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote.
Originally uttered in 2002’s “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode of the multiple Emmy winning political drama, the Aaron Sorkin penned words hang heavy in the digital air during these final weeks before this year’s election. Filmed in recent weeks at downtown L.A.’s Orpheum Theatre, this newly visually streamlined version of “Hartsfield’s Landing” is a pretty easy sell that also provides a welcome relief and sobering reminder when language mattered and presidents were presidential, at least on network TV.
One of my favorite series of all time and much munched TV comfort food over the years, the West Wing in 2020 is a remarkable throwback to a now distant era in more ways than one. Amidst the get out the vote buoying,...

Let us guess—right now you're sitting around? That is exactly why we bring you this mini West Wing reunion clip posted on Funny or Die earlier today, because we care about you and your health. And, well, it's pretty funny, so that's another reason. Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Dulé Hill, Joshua Malina, Melissa Fitzgerald and William Duffy jump back into their West Wing roles, which (obviously) includes walking and talking their way into the Oval Office to try and pass one last initiative with the president. This said-initiative "cuts the risk of heart disease, diabetes and stroke," along with breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer. Amazing,...

The cast of The West Wing is back to walking and talking—at least for two minutes and twenty-two seconds. In the first on-screen cast reunion since the 2006 series finale, some of the former West Wing regulars got together to poke fun at the memorable staple in a new Funny or Die public service announcement. Martin Sheen, Joshua Malina, William Duffy, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, and Melissa Fitzgerald reprised their roles to promote Every Body Walk, a health campaign about the benefits of walking 30 minutes per day.

The cast of NBC's "The West Wing" has reunited for the first time in more than five years for a Funny or Die video promoting something everyone should do. Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Joshua Malina, Dulé Hill, Melissa Fitzgerald and William Duffy all reprise their roles in the name of this good cause. Hint: It involves a massive walk and talk, the kind the show made famous. Democrats and Republicans do it. So do kids, religious fundamentalists, environmentalists, active military (they do it a lot, actually) and almost everyone else who can.

Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash shines brightest during on-court chaos, and he's got a plan to do the same in business.
Twelve seconds left in the season opener.
Phoenix Suns 107, Los Angeles Clippers 107.Twelve seconds for Steve Nash to find a way to win.The Phoenix coaches outline a plan. Suns' ball. Nash, the team's wily point guard, will let the clock nearly expire before executing a play. As Nash dribbles, Clippers point guard Baron Davis defends him closely. Guarding against the very play the Suns called. Guarding against Nash going right. Nash abandons the plan and darts left. Time to make up a new play. On the fly.
To watch Steve Nash is to observe someone uncannily at ease with change. Rapid change. Whenever possible, he plays on the run, starting a fast break rather than a set play, orchestrating a free-form attack. What...
