If You Loved Beetlejuice 2, Check Out These 10 Episodes Of The Beetlejuice TV Show
Image
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has officially come to streaming, and because of this, it has become apparent that the Beetlejuice animated series holds many similarities to the new film. This show, like many other kids TV shows based on violent movies, takes the character of Beetlejuice and turns him more into a lovable nuisance and uncle-figure to Lydia Deetz than the menace he was in the original film. A change like this allowed showrunners to create a show that is appropriate and fun for all ages, exploring a new cast of wacky characters by depicting the afterlife as the colorful "Neitherworld."

Although the series and the original film have their fair share of differences, a few of the animation's best episodes are perfect for any fans of the movie. They evoke the feeling of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, operating as a peek into the film decades into the future. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is available to...

“Beetlejuice” – Remembering the Animated Series That Came in the Wake of Tim Burton’s Movie
Image
For this month’s installment of “TV Terrors” we revisit the animated series adaptation of Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice,“ which aired from 1989 to 1991 on ABC/Fox Network.

In the eighties and nineties, studios were never shy about taking mature intellectual properties and cashing in on them by giving them their own animated spinoffs for kids. Among the rather extensive list were direct G-rated adaptations like “Rambo,” “Conan,” “Ace Ventura,” and even “Police Academy.” One of the most notable, and more widely celebrated adaptations was of Tim Burton’s 1988 hit film Beetlejuice. While the original movie excelled in being as menacing, bizarre, and raunchy as possible, executive producers Tim Burton and David Geffen opted for a more kid friendly variation of the “Ghost with the Most” for the animated series.

Aimed more for the 8-12 Saturday morning cartoon demographic, the animated show thankfully stuck true to much of what made the movie so entertaining.

Beetlejuice - The Animated Series Coming to DVD from the Shout! Factory
If it were possible that the people behind both the Shout! Factory and the Scream Factory could be combined into one sexy woman, I'd propose and then immediately start dry-humping her leg raw until the overall friction caused a scorching orgasmic blaze.

Review of "The Baby Formula"
Lesbian pregnancy is one of the queer community’s time-honored clichés. The subject (and the stereotype) has been covered in everything from The L Word to a glut of so-so Lgbt films (see: Tick Tock Lullaby, Goldfish Memory) to mainstream TV’s favorite “very special episodes.”

It was therefore almost shocking to find one of the most original, inventive and entertaining lesbian films of recent days in The Baby Formula. While premised on a lesbian pregnancy, the film is really about parenthood, family, and, more broadly, love.

Framed realistically (with just a pinch of sci-fi speculation tossed in), with truly excellent performances by both leads and the strong ensemble cast, it deserves a place on every queer parent’s watch list.

We begin with a close-up shot of two women snuggling on a porch. A documentary director and her camera crew look on, rapt. “Athena wants to have my baby,...
