‘Perusu’ Movie Ending Explained & Summary: Were The Brothers Able To Save Their Father’s Honor?
Image
I felt that Perusu, streaming on Netflix, was a typical case of stretching a joke way too thin. I mean, I get it that you might find a certain situation to be extremely humorous, but can you base an entire film on it, or rather, is it advisable to do so? That said, I do believe that the premise was unique and had a lot of potential, but what it lacked was strong subplots that could accentuate its impact even more.

Most of the time, until and unless it is physical comedy, the essence of a comedy film is lost when it is dubbed in another language. When you cook up a joke in one language, it becomes a bit difficult to flex the humor muscles and have a similar impact when the dialogue is translated to another language. So I confess that I probably didn’t find Perusu funny...

How ‘Perusu’ redefines taboo comedy
Image
Perusu, a Tamil-language comedy-drama directed by Ilango Ram, boasts a vibrant ensemble cast that brings its unique narrative to life. In an industry where comedic storytelling often teeters between brilliance and controversy, ‘Perusu’ dares to walk the tightrope with finesse. The film doesn’t just embrace humor—it weaponizes it to challenge societal norms.

One of its most intriguing and, frankly, eyebrow-raising moments? The discovery of the protagonist’s deceased father with an erection. Sounds shocking, right? But Perusu turns this delicate scenario into a comedic yet thought-provoking moment, proving that even the most awkward subjects can be addressed with the right mix of humor and sensitivity.

Cast of Perusu

Vaibhav Reddy steps into the role of Durai, the younger of the two brothers at the heart of the story. Known for his carefree and slightly irresponsible demeanor, Durai‘s world is turned upside down by the unexpected events following their father’s demise.

‘Raayan’ Ending Explained And Movie Recap: Was Raayan Able To Protect His Family?
Image
Kollywood superstar Dhanush’s 50th movie as an actor and second directorial venture, Raayan, is a hardcore action masala movie involving family ties, revenge, and gang war shenanigans—the entire shtick with which the ace performer built the first phase of his career. While the plot itself isn’t as intriguing as the premise tries to sell it as, Dhanush’s intense performance as the stoic family man/one-man army covers up all the major drawbacks with ease.

Fight choreography, set design, cinematography, and A. R. Rehman’s soundtrack turned out top-notch, which in turn enhances the entertainment factor quite a bit, acting as a major support to elevate the saga of violence. However, with all that being said, fans who have adored Dhanush’s recent mainstream works, which tend to have a much more palpable emotional and socio-political undertone, might find Raayan a bit generic as it simply aims to be a crowd-pleaser.

Production: Sun Pictures, Big Pictures and Studio Green Productions

If it is a masala film, 100 cars should be smashed, hundreds of villains wearing white dhotis should rush, every 20 minutes the heroine and junior artist should dance in semi clad attires and at the end the hero should win over the villain. Finally the hero will sing the opening song and wave at the audience and send them home.

Director Hari has abruptly followed this formula and poured it hot on the heads of the audience.

The film opens with Durai Singam (Surya) leading a passable life in Nallore. His aspirations have always been taking up his father’s business of provision stores. But, he couldn’t keep away from his father’s (Radha Ravi) requests of becoming a cop.
