    Pioneer British animator, trained at the Brighton School of Art, specialising in industrial design. His evident skills led to employment with the British Colonial and Kinematograph Company, subsequently producing children's cartoons for Hepworth and Walton in the 1920's. He created the cartoon character 'Bobby the Scout'. Dyer formed Analysis Films in 1939, supplying material for the Ministry of Information.
