In a post on X, the streaming service announced that Scandal is officially moving back to Netflix, and will be available on June 17. The political series aired between 2012 and 2018, and was previously available to stream on Hulu. The show stars Kerry Washington as a crisis manager who specializes in "fixing" political situations and scandals. The character was loosely based on Judy Smith, who served as George H. W. Bush's Deputy Press Secretary. Smith was also a producer on the show.

Next month is about to be an exhilarating ride for fans of this critics-approved and award-winning political thriller, seven years after its final broadcast. In a quiet move by Netflix, Scandal, led by Kerry Washington, has been added to the June 2025 lineup in the U.S., according to What's on Netflix, with all seven seasons set to return to the streamer. The ABC series debuted on April 5, 2012, and last aired on April 19, 2018, with its one-hundred-and-twenty-fourth episode, also the Season 7 finale “Over a Cliff,” which garnered more than five million viewers.

“Deli Boys” blends “Succession” levels of corporate mayhem with the hilarious yet full of heart family dynamics in “Schitt’s Creek,” making for one hell of a ride.

The new Onyx Collective series, which is now streaming on Hulu, follows two pampered brothers (played by Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh) as they take over their dad’s empire of convenience stores and get the shock of their lifetime when they learn the stores are a front for a drug trafficking business.

As the brothers navigate running the family business as they enter the world of crime for the first time, their auntie, Lucky (Poorna Jagannathan) shows them the ropes.

Antonia Thomas and Brandon Larracuente will reprise their former roles, Thomas for two episodes, including the series finale, and Larracuente for one episode. Details about the episodes are yet to be released. New cast additions Ruby Kelley and Guillermo Diaz are set to recur and guest star respectively. Thomas' return could be a setup to offer closure to one of the show's couples comprising Thomas' Dr. Claire Brown and Chuku Modu's Dr. Jared Kalu. Up next from indie filmmaker Todd Verow (Frisk) is a thriller titled You Can’t Stay Here, which will first be exclusively opening in New York City on January 5, 2024.

The exclusive engagement at the IFC Center in NYC will feature live Q&As from director Todd Verow and star Guillermo Diaz.

The movie takes place in NYC in the mid-90s at the height of the AIDS epidemic and follows photographer Rick (Diaz), who spends his nights cruising in Central Park.

After Rick witnesses the murder of a gay man in the park, he throws himself into a game of cat and mouse with the black leather-clad murderer.

“While set in the 1990s, the film’s themes of homophobia, social hysteria, and finding oneself in a dangerous and intolerant world are as resonant as ever today,” Verow recently said.

It's been five years since Scandal was last broadcast, and even though Grey's Anatomy continues to plod along, many consider the former show to be Shonda Rhimes' greatest achievement. The point is, this movie has a great pedigree of talent, with our own Sarah Milner giving it a glowing review out of TIFF. Peacock has announced that the groundbreaking romantic comedy Bros — the first from a major studio to center on two gay men — will begin streaming exclusively on the platform on December 2nd.

The film directed by Nicholas Stoller is a smart, swoony and heartfelt story about gay men — played by Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane—maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling towards love. Maybe. They’re both very busy. Its cast also includes Ts Madison, Miss Lawrence, Symone, Guillermo Diaz, Guy Branum, Monica Raymund, Jim Rash, Harvey Fierstein, Bowen Yang, Amanda Bearse, Dot-Marie Jones, and many more.

Eichner and Stoller penned the script. Stoller also produced alongside Judd Apatow and Josh Church, with Eichner exec producing.

The upcoming stoner comedy sequel Half Baked 2 will feature Rachel True reprising her original role. True played Mary Jane Potman in the 1998 film Half Baked, which starred Dave Chappelle, Jim Breuer, Harland Williams, and Guillermo Díaz, as a group of friends who love smoking weed. She is the love interest for Chappelle's character Thurgood, which presents a problem considering the fact that - despite her suggestive name - she is vehemently anti-drug.

Per Deadline, Half Baked 2 has just wrapped production in Baton Rouge. The film, which will be released non-theatrically in 2023, has announced that True (who is perhaps known for her role in the 1996 teen film The Craft) officially reprised the role of Mary Jane. So far, she is the only returning cast member who has been confirmed to appear in a major role, though Williams is also set to make a special appearance.

Bros comes bearing discourse wounds. After the much-hyped gay romcom bellyflopped its US release, its star and co-writer Billy Eichner raged against the dying buzz on Twitter. America’s “straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up for Bros”, he declared, before urging anyone who isn’t a “homophobic weirdo” to check it out. Then came the think pieces: did Bros flop because of homophobia? Or because the romcom is dead? Or… because it’s a bad movie? Unfortunately, it’s the last one, since Bros is a big old mess.

A thrum of resentment simmers just under Bros’ metropolitan shine. Playing a perpetually single New York podcaster named Bobby, Eichner (who also co-writes) spends much of his film barking opinions at anyone unlucky enough to be nearby.

Judd Apatow’s latest big screen comedy came to the capital today for the Bros UK Premiere. Directed by Nicholas Stoller, the film stars Billy Eichner, Guillermo Díaz, Luke Macfarlane, Monica Raymund, Ts Madison and positions itself as the first gay romantic comedy from a major studio featuring an almost entirely LGBTQ principal cast.

The Judd Apatow-produced romantic comedy opened to 4.8 million at the box office after premiering at TIFF and receiving strong reviews. However, lead star and co-writer Eichner is bemoaning the lack of audiences showing up in theaters as “homophobic,” especially in “certain parts of the country.”

The film, which is being pegged as Hollywood’s first major gay romcom, has received acclaim from critics, but has not been a hit at the box office.

If you’re an Applebee’s employee in Des Moines who wants to see Billy Eichner’s romantic comedy Bros, Guy Branum just made it a lot easier by serving it up on a platter — free of charge.

The comedian, who plays the witty best friend of Eichner’s character in the Nicholas Stoller-directed film, has bought out a showing specifically for staff at five Applebee’s restaurants in the greater Des Moines area. Locations in and around Iowa’s capital city include Merle Hay, Se 14th Street, Altoona, Jordan Creek and Ankeny locations with the screening set for Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. at AMC Classic Johnston 16 in Johnston, Iowa.

“We are very grateful,” noted Iowa Applebee’s general manager David Hintz of the news as insiders estimate approximately 10-15 employees from each location will turn up at the screening, presumably scheduled...

“Smile,” the horror film from Paramount and writer-director Parker Finn, made 2 million at the box office Thursday in its preview screenings from roughly 3,000 screens and that began at 7 p.m. It opens on 3,648 screens this weekend.

Neither “Smile” or “Bros” is expected to break the 20 million mark this weekend, a disappointing trend for movies this month at the box office, though both have modest budgets and hope to turn a profit on the backs of strong reviews for each and some creative viral marketing, whether it’s eerily grinning fans at a baseball game or Eichner running down New York City streets with Paul Rudd and a pack of lesbians.

Nick Stoller and Billy Eichner’s “Bros” has plenty going for it beyond its allegedly boundary-breaking elements — Eichner, who co-wrote the film and stars in it, called it “the first gay rom-com ever released by a major studio” earlier this year, which is kind of true, but also not at all essential for enjoying the film on its own merits — and should (hopefully) prove to be box office catnip for audiences starved for funny, sexy, sweet romantic comedies.

“Bros” stars an entirely Lgtbq+ cast and centers on Eichner as a jaded podcast host who falls for Hallmark Channel alum Luke Macfarlane; the cast also includes Harvey Fierstein, Bowen Yang, Symone, Miss Lawrence, Guy Branum, Guillermo Diaz, Amanda Bearse, and Ts Madison.

“Billy on the Street” is back — and with Paul Rudd.

After three years of waiting, a new episode of the hilarious rapid-fire series dropped online Tuesday, which Eichner announced in a tweet on Monday.

“Surprise! The first Billy On The Street In 3 Years drops Tomorrow!!!!!!” Eichner wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of Eichner and the “Ant-Man” actor sporting merchandise for the upcoming LGBTQ rom-com “Bros,” which Eichner stars in and co-wrote.

Indeed, the nearly three-minute episode features Rudd and Eichner running around New York City demanding straight people see “Bros,” which premieres in theaters Sept. 30.

“I’m out here back on the street with famous and beloved straight man Paul Rudd,” Eichner says in the episode’s intro. “We’re going to spread the word about my new movie ‘Bros.’ … Let’s bro!”
