The year is 2025, and the hottest trend in television is ... reboots of old shows from the USA Network? Yes, you read that right. The "Suits" renaissance has had a longer tail than anyone could have predicted when, back in 2023, it became one of the top shows on Netflix years after leaving the airwaves. In the two years since then, streamers have scrambled for the rights to other similar procedural series with massive back catalogs of episodes. This trend hasn't stopped there, though.
The next natural step was proper reboots, with "Suits LA" premiering in February 2025 on NBC. Despite the fervor around its predecessor just a couple years ago, that show has struggled with both critics and viewers. (You likely didn't even realize it's been airing for the last two months.) Perhaps a better fate will befall the upcoming "White Collar" reboot, which is currently in the early stages of development.

There are shows and characters which, despite running their course, leave a significant mark on the networks and audiences who were a part of their run. Gabriel Macht's Harvey Specter and the world of Suits is one such show, and in recent times, NBC resurrected the Suits universe with a spinoff, Suits LA. The network looks set to do the same with another show from the USA Network which aired its series finale nine years ago. The medical dramedy, Royal Pains, is being eyed for a revival on NBC, according to Deadline. A revival will also feature the return of original star Mark Feuerstein, who looks set to reprise his role as Dr. Henry "Hank" Lawson.
From 2009-2016, Royal Pains ran for eight seasons during a time when the USA Network could comfortably boast of having some of the best shows on television. Other memorable shows released at that time,...

Since first being talked about as something that could actually happen, the White Collar revival has been long-teased and slowly developing. But the revival series of the USA Network hit started to take shape, and it's closer than ever. However, the most recent update throws a bit of a wrench in Neal Caffrey's comeback plans, but there's still a path for the blue sky procedural to return.
Deadline reported that even though the Disney-owned 20th Television is producing the revival project, the Disney-owned streamer Hulu passed on picking up the revival. Honestly, that's a pretty unexpected turn of events. White Collar might not be as popular on Hulu as it is on Netflix, but Disney tends to prefer to keep its content in-house. Putting a library title like this on the market is a surprise.

It might be taking a lot of time, but the planned reboot of White Collar is edging ever closer to a premiere. Per a report from Deadline, the highly anticipated reboot is about to hit the open market, with original creator, Jeff Eastin, driving the initiative to bring the pitch to other players. The reboot of the USA Network series is a production of 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios. Exclusive: The long-in-the-works White Collar reboot is about to hit the marketplace. According to sources, series creator Jeff Eastin, who has been behind the effort to revive the cult USA Network series, will be taking the pitch out in the next week or two.
The project is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios. Initially, sibling Hulu was considered the logical home for the follow-up as it also carries the White Collar library. I hear the Disney streamer opted not to proceed with the reboot, which now is being taken to the open market.
Of the other major players, Netflix would be a natural fit as the platform also has — for the moment — the original series in the U.S., the UK and Canada.

It's hard to believe that USA's White Collar is 25 years old, because the show feels timeless. The charming performances still hold up today, and most of the subject matter is still relevant. Maybe that's why there's a revival in the works. But whatever happens there, Jeff Eastin created a very fun world that was then populated by equally fun stars, and the end result was a TV series that audiences need more of.

The Reason Why White Collars Revival Is Exciting Is Also Why The Matt Bomer Shows Return Is So Risky
White Collar ended with its sixth season after an extremely successful run, and while the show was given a fairly concrete ending that left fans satisfied, the prospect of a return has always been fairly exciting. The show was a hugely popular crime drama following the exploits of a con artist named Neal Caffrey, whos hired by the FBI to help them catch other criminals using his expert knowledge of the craft. With the White Collar revival now officially happening, the show finds itself in a great position to achieve success again.
The upcoming revival will bring back much of the original White Collar cast, including Matt Bomer in the lead role. It will be a direct continuation of the original series, following some different storylines but remaining firmly rooted in the foundations of the show. This is great news for long-time fans of White Collar, as the revival has...

The month is ending on a good note for White Collar fans as a new update has surfaced regarding the series revival. In particular, it has been confirmed that FBI Special Agent Clinton Jones, played by Sharif Atkins throughout the police procedurals six seasons, will be a part of the reboot, although specifics remain unclear. The latest update on the White Collar reboot is a relief after the announcement of Matt Bomer's new Hulu project. Years after co-starring in White Collar for six seasons alongside Tim DeKay, Matt Bomer will be headlining a new show for Hulu, titled Mid-Century Modern. But on top of that, Bomer is expected to be involved in more White Collar stories.
Ever since the show ended, there have been discussions about a revival, mostly because of the season 6 cliffhanger. A decade after White Collar ended, it was finally announced that the show would be revived. There aren't a lot of details about the plot of the White Collar revival. However, there has been confirmation about the script and who else will be in the cast apart from Bomer. Given that Bomer will be working on another project, questions about whether the production of White Collar will be delayed have been raised.

Suits isn’t the only USA Network drama that could be coming back—there’s a spinoff, LA, that’s been ordered to series at NBC—and it seems like we’re getting closer to a revival of White Collar being a reality. “Can report the studio is very happy with the new White Collar script. White Collar ended its six-season run for reasons beyond the show's control. Created by Jeff Eastin, the procedural series on USA Network followed the unusual tandem of con artist and thief, Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) and FBI agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). During its time on the cable network, it was still actively producing original content, which included Psych and the Netflix mega-hit Suits. Set in New York, White Collar was primarily shot on location, which gave it a more authentic feel to it, especially since the city was such a big part of its storytelling.
Like Suits with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), White Collar's backbone was the dynamic between Caffrey and Burke. As former adversaries, with Burke being the only agent who could catch the elusive forger and thief, their history plays into their relationship and how it developed while solving high-stakes cases.

The upcoming White Collar revival gets an official update from series creator Jeff Eastin. Months after it was officially announced that Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Tiffani Thiessen would be returning as Neal Caffrey, and Peter and Elizabeth Burke, it didn't seem like things were moving along for the project. The White Collar revival secretly announced its expanded cast members, and it highlights just how better it is than Suits LA. Created by Jeff Eastin, White Collar was part of the USA Network's peak in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Released several years before Suits, it centers on Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay's Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke an unusual pairing of an ex-conman and an FBI agent solving white-collar crimes in New York. White Collar was a fun watch, with intriguing weekly cases highlighting Neal and Peter's dynamic.

USA's long-running procedural hit White Collar is returning in a brand-new revival by the show's original creator, and several returning cast members are also attached. Debuting in 2009, the series concerns a con-man named Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) whose career as a criminal comes to an end when he strikes a deal with the FBI to help them bring down high-profile white-collar criminals. Shifting the focus of the procedural to involve the world of corporate crime, White Collar was as funny as it was poignant during its six-season original run.
Much to the chagrin of fans, the show was eventually canceled in 2014 and faded into the background amid a rising tide of other alternative procedurals which dotted the TV landscape at the time.

The White Collar reboot may not see the return of Neal Caffrey's best love interest because of an unexpected show development. Mozzie's involvement in hatching Neal's fake death scheme raises questions for the White Collar reboot to address. The absence of Willie Garson presents a creative challenge in explaining Mozzie's role in Neal's plan. The new White Collar show could honor Mozzie by clarifying his involvement in Neal's con through storytelling.
The White Collar revival needs to answer a lingering mystery from the original show a decade after it concluded. Long before it had a resurgence after it returned on Netflix, talks of continuing Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke's story were already going on. Now that a White Collar revival is officially moving forward, series creator Jeff Eastin is excited to see where the new show will bring the beloved characters. While the USA Network series had a satisfying ending, there's no scarcity of compelling storylines this new endeavor can tackle. However, there's one particular mystery that it needs to address.
