This week sees Claudia and Steve get closer to learning Artie's secret, a visit by a fan(fic) favorite, and ... something we've been patiently waiting for all season.
Let's start with Pete and Myka's "A" story.
Pete proves that he is, indeed, a Secret Service Agent
The team is assigned to investigate possible artifact activity in South Bend, as seemingly random people are experiencing painful growth spurts. Could it be Paul Bunyan's ax? David's slingshot? A magical bag of beans? Artie says, "We have the ax, we have the slingshot, and the beans? Please, that's just a fairytale." Pete responds, "It's good to know where we draw the line."
The people include a nervous hypochondriac, a spunky baker, and a stressed-out lawyer. Add "redneck sheriff" and it would be the perfect acting workshop exercise. "They're all trapped on an elevator, and .....go!"
From the Jack Skellington collection.

A review of last night's "Bunheads" coming up just as soon as we talk about bunions and menopause... "Bunheads" is still in world-building mode at this point, as Michelle gets a tour of the huge property she's inherited, as we meet more townspeople — including the crooked cop, and Steven Eckholdt(*) as Michelle's obvious love interest down the road(**) — and spend more time getting to know the four girls, and start establishing reasons Michelle might want to stay in Paradise rather than selling the property and splitting the cash with Fanny. (*) Eckholdt — who's probably still best known for...

It's definitely rare for the syndication-friendly Two and a Half Men to feature a "to be continued..." ending, but apparently last night's episode, "Crude and Uncalled For" had just too much story to pack in there.
Last night, Alan's Internet date landed him in jail (really, whose hasn't?), and Charlie's fiancee seemed to be crushing hardcore on Alan's lawyer, Brad (Steven Eckholdt). That takes us somewhere about ten minutes into the episode.
From there, the episode became about Alan convincing Charlie he should be jealous and never have let Chelsea go to Brad's charity event by herself. Rather than simply arriving, we spent the rest of the time with the boys as they dragged Jake along and failed to follow their Gps to the ranch. Instead, they get lost and Jake does a horrible mountain lion impression.
Our biggest complaint with the episode isn't the jokes, because they were there,...

Bradford on Hill with 'West Wing'
Jesse Bradford is making his television debut with a recurring role on NBC's White House drama The West Wing. At the same time, the actor is poised to join Don Roos' Happy Endings for Stratus Film Co. Bradford is set to appear in 10 episodes of John Wells Prods./Warner Bros. TV's West Wing this season, playing a spoiled twentysomething intern from a known political family. "I've been a fan of Jesse's work since I first saw him in (Steven Soderbergh's 1993 feature) King of the Hill, and I'm thrilled that he has decided to join us on The West Wing," the show's executive producer John Wells said. Bradford joins Annabeth Gish and Steven Eckholdt, who also have signed on to recur on the Emmy-winning drama during its upcoming fifth season (HR 7/24).
