Tony Hawk says Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are scoring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie
Tony Hawk says Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are doing the score for the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ movie. The 55-year skateboarding legend spilled the tea about the Oscar winning duo putting together the soundtrack to the new adaption of the beloved childhood classic franchise - which centres on about crime fighting turtle brothers - when talking about his cover of Nine Inch Nail’s 1992 song, ‘Wish’ that featured Trent and Atticus. He said on his podcast ‘Hawk vs Wolf’ to his co-host Jason Ellis: "Him and Atticus were working on 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' […] When I went there, they were working on the soundtrack to that movie that [co-writer, producer, and Bebop voice actor] Seth [Rogen] told us about."The flick’s director Jeff Rowe confirmed the speculation on Twitter and admitted he didn’t possess “the vocabulary” to do the musical pair’s work justice. Jeff said: Well now that my...

Seth Rogen On How ‘The Interview’ Caused A ‘Seismic Shift’ In Hollywood & ‘Recalibrated’ His Definition Of Constroversy
Image
Seth Rogen is looking back on the controversy surrounding “The Interview”, the 2014 comedy that wound up playing a central role in the infamous Sony hack.

In the film, Rogen and James Franco play a pair of Americans recruited by the CIA to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un (Randall Park), a premise that resulted in a pressure campaign from the North Korean government — including threats of terror attacks on theatres — that scuttled the film’s planned theatrical release at the last minute, with the film instead released online.

“At the time, it was really bad and really catastrophic,” Rogen told Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis during a recent appearance on their “Hawk vs Wolf” podcast.

Seth Rogen Says Catastrophic ‘Interview’ Fallout Taught Him the True Meaning of Outrage: People ‘Getting Mad on Social Media, That’s Not Controversy’
Image
Seth Rogen joined Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis on a recent episode of their “Hawk vs. Wolf” podcast and reflected on the “catastrophic” fallout from his 2014 Sony-backed comedy “The Interview.” The film, which starred Rogen and James Franco as Americans tasked by the CIA with assassinating North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, infamously played a role in the Sony hack, in which data and emails from Sony employees were leaked online. The hackers demanded Sony withdraw “The Interview’s” theatrical release. The studio also faced threats from North Korea, so it opted to skip a nationwide release and debut the film via online digital rentals and purchases.

“At the time, it was really bad and really catastrophic,” Rogen said of the fallout (via The Playlist). “People we knew were getting fired from it. The head of the studio [Sony Pictures head Amy Pascal] was essentially fired from it. It really...

Seth Rogen: ‘The Interview’ Caused ‘Seismic Shifts’ in Hollywood — ‘Catastrophic’
Image
Seth Rogen is finally ready to address the infamous legacy of “The Interview” almost a decade later.

During the Hawk vs. Wolf podcast presented by Malka Media, Rogen opened up to co-hosts Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis about the “catastrophic” fallout of the controversial 2014 comedy about a faux assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

“At the time, it was really bad and really catastrophic,” Rogen recalled. “People we knew were getting fired from it. The head of the studio [Sony Pictures head Amy Pascal] was essentially fired from it. It really caused seismic shifts in Hollywood at the time and I think how business was done in some ways.”

“The Interview” starred James Franco as a talk show host who travels to North Korea to meet with Kim Jong-Un (Randall Park) for an exclusive interview. However, the CIA recruits him and his TV producer (Rogen) to assassinate the dictator instead.
