If you were a fan of the classic G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero series in its first run, before it became horrible and nothing but a toy generator, then you might be pleased to know that you can find similar animation satisfaction in the classic series Sky Commanders. With more of an overarching concept instead of an actual story filling out each episode, the series features a scenario similar to G.I. Joe with two opposing sides battling it out, this time for control of a new continent spawned by a fantastical element that could give whoever controls it untold power. With the expert voice work of Robert Ridgely and Bernard Erhard, Sky Commanders is a great G.I. Joe substitute.
