Gamila Smith

Gamila Smith is an experienced, accomplished and enthusiastic Costume Designer and Stylist. Originally from New Orleans, she is a member of the Costume Designers Guild 892 & Motion Pictures Costumers 705. With over 30 years of experience in multimedia production in Hollywood. Gamila is currently based in Los Angeles. Gamila began her career in NYC as an assistant costume designer working with numerous platinum tours and music videos. In particular platinum franchises, KISS, The Pointer Sisters, Ozzy Osbourne, Morris Day, and Donna Summers. She worked under the creative direction of her mentors Fleur Theimeyer and Pat Naderhoff, and Kenny Ortega. Gamila has worked on many large scale productions in film, television, and stage, including SPFX costume design and creating, collaborating and telling a story through the costumes in the details. Gamila has worked with Samuel L. Jackson The Rock & Kevin Hart & Christine McConnell by Star Request. Gamila is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian and has traveled on location globally throughout her career. Her extraordinary commitment to costume design and styling has been recognized by her colleagues and producers throughout the years for her intuitive nature and style within multimedia arts.
