12 forgotten hosts of the biggest TV shows from Brian Dunkleman to Daisy Donovan
American Idol was announced to be coming to an end after 15 seasons yesterday (May 12), but did you know that Ryan Seacrest used to have a co-host?

Brian Dunkleman hosted the Fox competition's first season alongside Ryan Seacrest, before the latter took sole control. History has not been kind to poor old Brian since, with Fox TV CEO Dana Walden joking about a possible reunion for the pair.

"Where is Brian Dunkleman? If you give me his number, I will call and invite him," she joked, though Dunkleman gave as good as he got last night:

I knew American Idol would never last without me #Cancelled

— brian dunkleman (@briandunkleman) May 11, 2015

To honour Dunkleman, we have collected a few hosts of massive shows that you may have cruelly forgotten, starting with the man himself.

1. Brian Dunkleman (American Idol)

Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra in Bend It Like Beckham (2002)
Bend It Like Beckham: Where are the cast of the 2002 box office hit now?
Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra in Bend It Like Beckham (2002)
Cast your minds back to 2002 - a time when Pop Idols didn't need to have The X Factor, Fifty Shades of Grey were just colours on a paint sampler chart and David Beckham was a mere international superstar rather than global megastar.

Bend It Like Beckham, with a modest estimated budget of £3.7 million, opened that same year and became a critical and commercial success - breaking box office records and scoring BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations, as well as making household names of many of its stars.

As the cast continues preparing for the West End stage adaptation of Gurinder Chadha's screen hit ahead of previews on May 15, find out what the movie's ensemble cast went on to achieve - including who is coming back for the musical...

Parminder Nagra (Jess Bhamra)

Nominated for Best Newcomer at the Empire Awards on the back of the movie's success, Parminder went...

Cha$e – Season Premiere Advance Review
Sci-Fi channel’s newest original game show Cha$e touts itself as a “real life video game,” but Tron it is not (unfortunately). What we get instead is an hour-long game of tag, one in which the ten contestants are forced to compete against each other while being pursued by a relentless group of Hunters (who have a not-so-coincidental connection to the Agents from The Matrix). To keep things interesting, host Trey Farley beams side-missions to the contestants’ iPhones (product placement much?) that can either help or hinder them, depending on their current Hunter situation. Some missions result in anti-Hunter weapons, while others involve racing to stay safe. The players earn $1000 for each minute they stay alive, and if they’re left standing after an hour and first to cross the secret finish line, they take home the prize.

Cha$e (a.k.a Run for Money) interview with Trey Farley!
We conference with "Cha$e" host Trey Farley about the Sci Fi Channel reality series competition which airs on Tuesday, November 11th at 10Pm Et/Pt. He talks about his preparation for each episode, locations, the perfect contestant, Cha$e being like a game of tag and more. On the precautions taken to keep contestants and bystanders from getting hurt Farley says "Soft-soled shoes. I’m kidding. Yeah, a lot of it takes place - I think the one you’ve seen is San Pedro - is the rough cut that you’ve seen. Yes, it is fast-paced. The runners are pretty much, you know, running for their lives and hunters are chasing them. But still as excited as they are, as much adrenalin that gets pumping through their veins, everybody knows how to be safe and how to run safely through all these areas if they’re crowded or not.
