Marvel Studios is searching for a Latino actor to lead an untitled Halloween special for Disney Plus, Variety has confirmed.
The special could be based on “Werewolf by Night,” which would denote two separate characters in the Marvel comic book universe. The first, Jack Russell, debuted in the comic “Marvel Spotlight #2” in February 1972. Russell has a family history of lycanthropy — or the supernatural transformation of a human into a wolf — but uses his power for good, and is able to remain aware of his transformations.
The second character, Jake Gomez, was introduced into the Marvel universe last year in the comic “Werewolf by Night (Vol. 3) #1.” Created by Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Scot Eaton and Benjamin Jackendoff, Gomez is described to be a descendant of the Native American tribe Hopi who has been cursed with lycanthropy, also through his lineage.
Though it is unconfirmed if the character will be based on “Werewolf by Night,...

Gearing up by stripping down! Fergie is giving fans a little taste of her new mystery project on social media, teasing her followers with sexy photos and bizarre clips.
More: Fergie Pairs String Bikini With Playful Pigtails During Hawaii Vacation
Her most recent shots feature the 42-year-old Dutchess entirely nude, wearing only stiletto heels as she shows off her enviable frame while lying down.
This comes after weeks of teasers, including shots of her in a corset and scenes of the singer running from the cops and looking very frightened.
The clips give off strong Beyonce vibes, specifically mirroring images from the “Formation” singer’s songs “Haunted” and “Mine” off her 2013 self-titled visual album.
In May it was confirmed that Fergie had left Interscope Records to form her own label, Dutchess Music.

A-list performers took the stage at Ariana Grande’s Manchester benefit concert on Sunday to show their love and support for the victims of the deadly terror attack on Manchester Arena last month, bringing some solace to the crowds through their songs and powerful messages of resilience. But one performer, Katy Perry, paid tribute in another creative way — by wearing an outfit covered in photos of the victims.
The singer wore a white long-sleeve mini dress that featured photos of the 22 victims along the collar, bottom of the sleeves and formed the shape of a heart across the back of the dress.

Usher was among the list of esteemed musicians set to perform at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester concert on Sunday, an event held to benefit and honor the victims of the bombing that occurred during Ariana's Manchester show on May 22. Along with Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, and Pharrell Williams, Usher was scheduled to hit the stage between Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, but ended up being a no-show. Manchester native Liam Gallagher performed in his place, and disappointed fans soon took to Twitter to ask, "Usher, where art thou?" RelatedAriana Grande Fights Tears During Manchester Duet With The Black Eyed Peas The singer did tweet out a link to the One Love Manchester live stream, but his absence begged a few questions: Was he sick at home? Did his flight get canceled? Was he an actual usher helping guests to their seats? The real reason for his not being there is a lot more understandable.

"Where was Usher?" That's the question many people were asking on Twitter Sunday after he was M.I.A. at One Love Manchester, Ariana Grande's charity concert that raised over $3 million for victims of the Manchester Arena bombing that took place May 22. Additional performers, like Black Eyed Peas and Little Mix, were added later on, while Liam Gallagher and Imogen Heap gave surprise performances. Although Usher promoted the concert on social media, he never took the stage—and he didn't reveal why until Monday. Reaching...

If ya like it then you shoulda put a Super Bowl ring on it? Okay, so that lyrical tweak on one of Beyoncé’s most famous hits doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, but it seems appropriate, considering that the Grammy-winning songbird will headline the halftime show for Super Bowl Xlvii in New Orleans next February, according to an Associated Press report.
The choice of Beyoncé, which is expected to be officially announced on Wednesday, makes it back-to-back divas on football’s biggest night. Madonna was the main attraction at Super Bowl Xlvi in Indianapolis earlier this year. The Black Eyed Peas...

Compliance is a tough cinematic experience, as set inside a fast food restaurant. A thriller with more meat than a Big Mac, it’s tough to sit through, and it’s tough to process afterward. With excellent power through tension, this story about a fast food manager tooled around by a police officer can certainly be uncomfortable for audiences in some chapters (without showing a drop of blood).

Tupac's hologram at the 2012 Coachella music festival

On Sunday, Tupac Shakur thrilled audiences at Coachella, which was rather notable, considering he's been dead since 1996.
Of course, it wasn't actually Tupac who shared the stage with Dre and Snoop, but rather a hologram, one that cost nearly a half-million dollars to make and probably would've blown the collective minds of 100,000 stoned white kids ("Bro, I Just Saw Tupac's Ghost") had reports of its Coachella premiere not leaked early.
And while it wasn't the first time this level of trickery has been employed live — Madonna used the same technology at the 2006 Grammys when she performed with the Gorillaz, as have well-moneyed folks like Celine Dion and the Black Eyed Peas (not surprisingly, a holographic pop star has also been selling out venues in...

I’m not excited whatsoever for Madonna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. Not because I dislike Madonna or think that she’ll do a bad job; on the contrary, I’m sure she’ll play the hits and bring out A-list special guests galore and make a giant entertaining spectacle and it’ll all be completely polished and well-done. The only problem is, there’s nothing memorable or transcendent about ‘good’ Super Bowl Halftime Shows. Prince and Bruce Springsteen each did about as well as a Super Bowl performer could possibly aim for, and both performances still boiled down to just 12 pretty good minutes from musicians whose fans have assuredly seen them do far better 2-3 hour concerts on other occasions. The biggest standout moment was still Springsteen sliding into the camera. The only time we remember a Super Bowl Halftime Show is when it is memorably bad. That is to say,...

Good luck, 2012. With "Citizen Knope," Parks and Recreation concluded to set the weekly bar at no less than awesome, giving you quite a challenge when episodes pick up again in the near year.
A lot of things were set in motion this week, as the plot is casting a wide net in terms of bringing all of the characters together into one big story.
With Leslie on temporary suspension, we get to see her attempt to exist outside of her natural habitat. The most hilarious examples of how this is a woman that simply needs to be innovating and moving at all times? In a word: Salger. In an acronym? and Pcp, as in The Parks Committee of Pawnee. Indeed, Leslie was going stir crazy, doing anything to worm herself back into the department, which was welcome news to all viewers who go to witness her zaniness come to the forefront.

There are many reasons people love to bash the Grammys, but one of the most frequent punching bags is the Best New Artist category.
Whether it goes to someone music fans have never heard of (2010's Esperanza Spalding), an act who's been around forever (2001's Shelby Lynne), or one that even at his or her peak seemed unworthy at best (notorious 1981 flash-in-the-pan Christopher Cross), Best New Artist is a perennial head-scratcher.
By Recording Academy rules, the award is for a musician or band who releases an album during the year of eligibility that establishes their "public identity" as an artist. That doesn't mean it's their first album or that they suddenly appeared on the scene just that year, because, really, no act just materializes out of...

Gloria’s new song, “Wepa,” is produced by The Neptunes.N.E.R.D./Pharrell Williams, which may be why it sounds like a hyperactive dance march that borrows as equally from Ke$ha — the Kween of Tra$hpop — as it does from Celia Cruz and Tito Puente. Although it doesn’t necessarily sound like her voice was Auto-Tuned, there is an element of robotic call-and-response that one would more likely expect from, say, The Black Eyed Peas. Basically, Gloria Estefan wants to sit at the kids table, and that is Fine! Personally, I’ve gone from staring, slack-jawed, at the album art of Gloria looking rather Fierce, to...

However, one of his mentor’s Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas thinks Justin needs to go through some bumps in the road before he’ll establish himself as a legend in the music world.
“Justin as an artist has to fight. Michael Jackson fought, Prince fought, the ones that stood around for a long time are the ones that are always fighting for something,” Will.i.am told Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 Kiis FM Aug. 11. “We know the ones that get comfortable and then their career is short,...

Music chart-toppers and fans gathered for The 2011 Billboard Music Awards (TV) Sunday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Opening the show with a little S&M was Rihanna and a lip-syncing Britney Spears, who performed a no-holds-barred pole dance routine which ended in a pop-princess pillow fight. Host Ken Jeong from The Hangover (2010) played host for the awards ceremony, which aired for the first time since 2007. Glee(TV)'s Matthew Morrison presented the first award of the evening to Taylor Swift for the Billboard 200 Album Artist of the Year. Devo, the New Wave rock band famous for the 1980 hit single Whip It, has always experimented with new technology in its music. In the 80s, Devo pioneered the music video as a creative medium, and last year the band live streamed its newest album on Ustream accompanied by a live feed of cats. Now Devo has teamed up with Social Animal and music video directors Kii Arens and Jason Trucco to create a 360 degree interactive music video, "What We Do." "What We Do" features a circular set divided into eleven tableaux of Devo-inspired characters performing separate activities, which viewers can explore during the song by controlling the camera. Social Animal, whose 360 degree music video for the Black Eyed Peas helped kicked off Will.i.am's mobile app company, integrated "360 Touch Video" elements into the video, allowing viewers to not only create their own experiences with the 360 degree video content, but...

It's a harsh world out there these days. What with birds falling dead from the skies and the Black Eyed Peas passing for halftime entertainment, among all the genuinely disturbing political turmoil across the world, it's a cynic's anti-paradise everywhere you look.
It's also a flourishing time for network comedy, with shows like NBC's Community, 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, ABC's Modern Family and Cougartown, CBS's How I Met Your Mother and Fox's Glee and Sunday night animation block (Bob's Burgers being the surprising new standout) all consistently competing for the funniest half-hour of the week.
It doesn't take much imagination-stretching to consider how those two points might be related. Perhaps the bright side to all this real-world darkness is that there's plenty for sitcom writers to poke fun at--and we need those laughs now more than ever.

The Black Eyed Peas are slated to bring their dance floor-rattling pop to the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, and while the foursome is being stingy with details, they did promise an upbeat set.
"We're not allowed to give away the set list, but it will be packed with energy — what the Black Eyed Peas bring," Fergie said during a news conference on Thursday, according to The Associated Press. While rumors have been swirling that superstars like Usher and Guns 'N Roses' Slash may make a surprise appearance during the 'Peas set, the crew assured fans they can expect a celebratory vibe when the hitmakers take stage during the football face-off.

This weekend is going to be a massive one for the worlds of music, television and sports. The Super Bowl is finally here, and the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers will be squaring off against one another to determine who is this year's NFL champion is only about the fifth-most important thing happening over the next few days. In addition to the game, there will be the headline-grabbing advertisements (including a number of movie trailer premieres and appearances by both Justin Bieber and Eminem), the new episode of "Glee" that will follow the big game (which features the much-talked-about "Thriller" sequence), the national anthem care of Christina Aguilera (which bodes well for the Steelers) and the fact that this could be the most-watched American television broadcast in history (besting last year's Super Bowl, which drew 106.5 million viewers).

However, Cheryl still selected Cher and Katie Waissel - who also cried during her performance of 'Smile' - through to the final stages of the competition along with Rebecca Ferguson, instead of favourite Gamu Nhengu. Cheryl Cole has reportedly avoided all mention of her ex-husband Ashley Cole in her new book Through My Eyes.
The X Factor judge is set to release her first official book on the 30th of September, but fans shouldn’t expect a tell all autobiography similar to Dannii Minogue’s offering. Cheryl will mention the two new men in her life, Derek Hough and Will.i.am but she will avoid some of the more upsetting areas of her past.
Despite getting divorced and contracting malaria in 2010, Cheryl says that she has had “the best times of my life” in the past two years.
She describes Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am as “passionate to the core” and brands dance pro Derek as “the best… he’s a sweetheart.”
Through My Eyes will be more of a photo collection than a tell all exposé and the official blurb reads:...

We can all legally raise a glass to the great Jason Derülo today, as it's his 21st birthday. Break out the Mylar balloons and fill the pinata with Jolly Ranchers, because it's time to celebrate.
Derülo may only be 21, but he is already something of an industry veteran. He got his first big break when he won the grand prize on the season finale of "Showtime at the Apollo" in 2006 (when he was only 16 years old). That earned him writing credits on songs for the likes of Birdman and Pitbull, and he eventually graduated to performing his own tunes. He made an immediate impact in late summer of 2009 when he released his first single "Whatcha Say," a groovy R&B track that sampled Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" (better known as "that song that played over the end of the season finale of 'The O.C.' when Trey...
