Speculation has been rising in recent weeks about whether Elisabeth Hasselbeck would be returning to compete in Survivor season 50, and now the TV personality has finally made her own announcement. The official Survivor season 50 cast list has now been revealed, and there are several fan-favorites coming back, including Colby Donaldson, Mike White, Cirie Fields and Ozzy Lusth. Kyle Fraser, Joseph Hunter and Kamilla Karthigesu from the recently-concluded Survivor season 48 are returning as well. The biggest rumor, though, has been that Elisabeth would be competing again.
Elisabeth broke her silence on Instagram and said definitively that she is not competing on Survivor 50. "That is funny, though. I'm not doing that. I'm gonna be back there with, like, snacks instead," she admitted. Elisabeth added that instead of being on Survivor, she'll be gardening and working on "fun projects," but Survivor is not on that list. "I'm not doing that. I wanna be...

Joy Behar is facing criticism after changing her tune.
Fans of The View are standing up for a returning guest who once received harsh backlash during an appearance years ago.
Natalie “Nadya” Suleman, famously known as “Octomom,” was a guest on The View earlier this week.
Natalie rose to fame in 2009 when she gave birth to the world’s first surviving octuplets.
At the time, Natalie already had six children, so adding eight more to the mix made her a single mom of 14.
Natalie’s decision to selectively undergo in-vitro fertilization sparked outrage.
The media dragged Natalie Suleman in earlier years
She soon became the target of nationwide criticism for her decision to become a single mom to 14 children without any financial stability.
Among those who formerly criticized Natalie were some then-hosts of The View, including Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not here for criticism of Carrie Underwood‘s decision to perform at Donald Trump‘s inauguration. The television personality weighed in on The View co-hosts’ conversation about the situation, specifically targeting Joy Behar for her comments about Underwood’s decision. “That @TheView @JoyVBehar needs to simmer down off my friend,” Hasselbeck wrote on X on Tuesday, January 14. She followed it up with a photo of Behar on her Instagram Story and a quote from her rant on The View earlier that day. “Joy – Carrie Underwood is an Incredible Woman. You could learn from her strength.” Hasselbeck previously sat alongside Behar on The View from 2003 to 2013. Reality TV stars are not A-listers, but some famous faces started as minor stars on TV. Or, early in their careers, they participated in reality TV. For example, did you know that Stephen Colbert, now associated with CBS’s The Late Show appeared on Whose Line Is It Anyway in the 1990s? Here are four other famous faces apart from Stephen Colbert who were on non-a-Lister shows.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck wasn’t known until 2001. Before that, she worked for a big company. But, she got her chance at fame when she appeared on Survivor Season 2. Fans of the show will remember that she was gutsy and played a solid game.

Throughout Survivor history, Jeff Probst's show has welcomed several fantastic players who helped make some seasons better than the rest. Fortunately for Tina Wesson, most Survivor fans recognize how masterfully she played during her first season. That fact is even more impressive given what she was put through.
Even though new fans who are figuring out which seasons to watch first may not realize it, Survivor can be a very dangerous game. After all, many Survivor players have been medically evacuated over the years. While passionate Survivor fans know about those evacuations, most have no idea that Tina once revealed the show permanently affected her body.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck appeared on the Fox News show Hannity to call out her former co-hosts at The View for their support of Kamala Harris.
The conservative political commentator said she was “glad” she was not on the ABC talk show for expressing their opinions on the political race.
Hasselbeck also said that “mainstream media is in manipulation mode” currently as they are not giving more coverage to Donald Trump’s assassination attempt. She likened “the timing” of Joe Biden stepping down from the presidential race and the endorsement of Harris for the Democratic Party nomination as an attempt to change the political conversation.

Rosie O’Donnell is recalling her time as a co-host on The View and is honest about not wanting to do the show again.
O’Donnell first came on the ABC talk show as the moderator following Meredith Vieria’s departure back in 2006. Her time on the daytime program was short-lived after clashing with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, whom she tried to befriend despite their different takes on politics.

Hosts of “The View” past and present came together to honor and remember the show’s creator Barbara Walters on Tuesday, kicking off the new year of shows. But, Rosie O’Donnell was missing from that group, and on Tuesday afternoon, she explained why.
Walters died at the age of 93 on Dec. 30, prompting an outpouring of love and memories for the journalist. She created “The View” back in 1997, explaining in its original opening credits that she’d always wanted to do “a show with women of different generations, backgrounds and views.” Walters served as a co-host on the show until 2014, making Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar the only current hosts to have worked with her on the show.
But, as former hosts like Meredith Viera, Star Jones and Sherri Shepherd appeared in person, via phone and via Zoom during Tuesday’s episode-long tribute, some fans couldn’t help but wonder why O’Donnell wasn’t among them.

Behar, Vieira, Jones, and Matenopoulos were a part of the original panel when the show launched in 1997.
"She is the reason we're all sitting here today," Goldberg said at the beginning of the telecast.

Hosts of “The View” past and present remembered the show’s creator Barbara Walters on Tuesday, sharing beloved memories of the journalist. But it was a story from former host Sherri Shepherd that stood out, as she recalled one time when Walters criticized her taste in men — and joked that she needed to be a lesbian instead.
As Shepherd explained, she and Walters would often have dinner outside the show, and — as she was prone to do with her co-hosts — Walters would offer advice. She and Shepherd were particularly close, with Shepherd noting that Walters actually planned her bridal shower. And at that shower, Walters was honest about her thoughts on Shepherd’s taste in men.
“She said, ‘You always get with these men who take your money! All the time! Stop getting married to men that take your money. You need to be a lesbian,'” Shepherd recalled. “‘But with your luck,...

“The View” kicked off its first show of the new year by honoring the one and only Barbara Walters, who died on Friday, Dec. 30, at the age of 93, with an hour that reunited several of her former “View” co-hosts and featured highlights from her many years on the daytime series.
“Tributes are pouring in from around the world to celebrate the life of Barbara Walters,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said at the top of the ABC talk show Monday. On December 30, 2022, legendary journalist and interviewer Barbara Walters died at the age of 93. She changed the landscape for women in the industry, became the highest-paid TV journalist, and took her "women's interest" stories on "The Today Show" and turned it into a co-hosting position — a first for a woman. She also became the first female co-anchor of "ABC Evening News." Later on, in 1997, Walters created, produced, and served as a co-host for the ABC talk show "The View," which gave voices to women from different walks of life and different generations. Now that show will honor its founder with a dedicated special, according to a post from the Instagram account for "The View."
The post reads: "#TheView was her idea, her passion, her show. Join us Tuesday morning as we celebrate the one and only Barbara Walters." When the talk show began, the lineup was Walters, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones,...

Barbara Walters, the legendary Emmy-award winning broadcast journalism pioneer and co-creator of “The View”, has died. She was 93 years old.
ABC News confirmed the news on Friday. No cause of death was given. Disney CEO Bob Iger tweeted that Walters died on Friday evening at her home in New York.
Throughout her more than 50-year career, Walter became a staple in broadcasting, helming the “Today” show ABC News, “20/20”, “The View”, and her annual “Most Fascinating People” special, while simultaneously paving the way for other female journalists.
Making a name in an industry dominated by men became an unspoken routine for Walters who began working for “20/20” in 1978. Joining the news magazine reunited Walters with her former “Today” co-host, Hugh Downs, and solidified what became her legacy.

Rosie O’Donnell appeared on Monday’s edition of “The Howard Stern Show”, and among the many celebrities she dished on was Woody Allen.
During the conversation, O’Donnell recalled receiving an offer to star in Allen’s 1999 movie “Sweet and Lowdown” — something she found highly surprising considering she had eviscerated him in her 1995 HBO standup special.
“Can you believe the nerve of this guy, showing up in public with his lover-slash-daughter?” O’Donnell said in her special, referencing Allen’s relationship with Soon-Yi Previn. “Incest, buddy, is a word. Look it up. Pedophile, what a concept. Have you heard of it?”

Rosie O’Donnell is definitely not setting aside her beef with her former “The View” co-star Elisabeth Hasselbeck anytime soon. Hasselbeck’s recent return to the show got a big thumbs down from O’Donnell, which of course it did given their contentious onscreen relationship back 2006 and 2007.
“Okay, so I prepared myself. I got ready to watch Elisabeth Hasselbeck on ‘The View,'” O’Donnell said in a TikTok video posted Thursday. “She’s not on today. She was on yesterday. So I missed it.”
She added, “But, then I went back on ‘The View’ on my Apple TV or whatever, and I watched it from yesterday, and I remembered why I don’t wanna watch it with her anymore,” slightly chuckling.
She concluded in the TikTok, shaking her head, “Her little Post-it Notes, I don’t know. Listen, it’s strange. Hope you’re having a good day, and if you saw that yesterday,...

Meghan McCain says a comment made by Joy Behar was the final straw that prompted her to leave “The View.”
McCain exited her co-hosting duties in July 2021. While there were “a lot of factors” that contributed to her exit, she said on “The Commentary Magazine Podcast” that it was something Behar told her on-air right after she returned from maternity leave in January of that year that made her realize she needed to leave the ABC talk show for good.
“I finally went back to the show, and the day I went back to the show, Joy Behar said on air, ‘Nobody missed you, we didn’t miss you, you shouldn’t have come back,’” McCain said. “I started hysterically crying. Sorry gentlemen, I know, I started lactating on air, and crying, hysterical.”

Many fans of “The View” definitely haven’t missed Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and they made that clear with her return to the show on Wednesday. As she spent most of the show shaming abortion rights activists, viewers were vocal in their contempt for her on social media.
To kick off the show, the panel discussed Tuesday’s primary in Kansas, in which voters overwhelmingly rejected efforts to remove the right to an abortion from the state constitution. While most of the panel celebrated, Haselbeck did not, claiming that “just because something is a right, doesn’t make it right.”

“Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist dove right in Wednesday morning to discuss the vote in Kansas rejecting an amendment that would restrict abortion across the state.
In a landslide vote on the so-called “Value Them Both Amendment,” which would remove the right to abortion from the state’s constitution, the traditionally pro-life, right-leaning Kansas electorate drew a line in the sand. Scarborough noted that high-profile abortion cases like that of the 10-year-old rape victim and “the Texas Attorney General fighting for the right to let mothers die on the operating table” bolstered awareness that “this is the Republican party 2022” – and that many conservative voters don’t want to align themselves with it.
“Kansas voters, even people who are pro-life said, ‘No. We’re not going in that radical, freakish direction,'” Scarborough said.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to “The View” on Wednesday and spent most of the first half of the show shaming abortion rights activists and women who get abortions. According to Hasselbeck, these people are “getting caught in the law” too much, rather than adhering to religious guidelines.
The discussion on abortion rights resurfaced after voters in Kansas overwhelmingly rejected the idea of removing a woman’s right to an abortion from the state constitution on Tuesday night, after the reversal of Roe v. Wade made it possible for state lawmakers to restrict access to that particular form of healthcare.

In the 25-year history of “The View,” Meghan McCain is one of the only co-hosts to leave on her own — without being fired.
McCain’s decision to quit the most-watched show on daytime TV wasn’t one that came easily for her. Her four years on “The View” were marked by ratings peaks in ABC daytime, as she succeeded at the Hot Topics table where other conservatives — who weren’t Elisabeth Hasselbeck — had failed.
But it was also a devastating time in her personal life. Her father, Sen. John McCain, who had encouraged Meghan to take the job at “The View” in October 2017, died of glioblastoma in August 2018. The country was consumed by Trump. Backstage at “The View,” Meghan felt like she couldn’t say or do anything without someone on the show leaking stories about her being “cold” or “difficult” to the tabloids. Meghan McCain’s announcement that she is, this month, ending her four-year tenure as a panelist on “The View” represents a potentially radical change in the dynamic of the venerable talk show. And — like everything else that’s happened on the show since spring 2020 — it was met with somewhat muted reaction on the show’s virtual set.
The chat show’s dynamic has, since March of last year, been set off-kilter by the necessity of taping remotely; a show that, historically, had drawn crackling electricity from its hosts sharing the same room was suddenly turned into just another Zoom. To hear McCain tell it, her decision to leave the show was shaped by the Covid-era mandates — she moved her family to the Washington, D.C., area and doesn’t want to leave to return to New York, where “The View” is normally produced. This is understandable — as would be a...

After a nearly four-run on The View, Meghan McCain is exiting her longstanding stint as co-host at the end of the daytime talker’s current season. McCain will be taking an extended hiatus that has the potential to become a permanent exit, according to a well-positioned network source.
McCain is expected to announce the move on today’s show.
McCain, the panel’s conservative talking head, is the show’s second longest running conservative co-host on the show, behind Elisabeth Hasslebeck, who appeared on The View from 2003-2013.
The show’s publicist declined to comment.

Ever since 2007, Whoopi Goldberg has been a co-host on The View—and she doesn't plan on leaving the show anytime soon. "I'm there until I don't think I can do it anymore, but I'm not there yet," the 65-year-old star told Variety for its pre-Oscars issue. "As long as they allow me to do both [acting and hosting], I can do it. The minute they say, 'No, you can't,' then I have to figure out what to do." During her 14-year tenure, Goldberg has been nominated for multiple Daytime Emmy Awards, winning Outstanding Talk Show Host with Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters in 2009. Of course, this isn't the only trophy on her...

Brian Austin Green is finally on the board with a correct guess on “The Masked Dancer.” After mistaking the Disco Ball for LL Cool J (instead of Ice-t) and the Ice Cube for Bill Maher (instead of Bill Nye), the “Beverly Hills, 90210” star redeemed himself by being the only judge to name Elizabeth Smart as the Moth. Elizabeth made headlines in 2002 after being kidnapped at the age of 14; she later became a best-selling author and a child safety activist. Brian’s savvy guess means he’s one of only two panelists to earn a point in Season 1 — see the updated list below. Did You guess her identity at home?

Heading into the Group B playoffs of “The Masked Dancer,” four contestants were still in the running to win the Diamond Mask trophy: Cotton Candy, Moth, Sloth and Zebra. (Group A took the week off but will return next week.) Each of these hop-steppers gave it their all on the stage on Wednesday night, but one was sadly eliminated and forced to reveal their true identity in front of America and panelists Ashley Tisdale, Brian Austin Green, Ken Jeong and Paula Abdul. So which three survived to dance another day?
