Written and directed by Joe McClean (How to Make a David Lynch Film), the movie stars Matt Dallas (ABC Family's Kyle Xy, The First Ride With Wyatt Earp), Rebecca Marshall (Saw 3D) and Barry Finnegan (How to Make a David Lynch Film).

Dallas, Finnegan To Join "Life Tracker"
Matt Dallas ("Kyle Yx"), Rebecca Marshall ("Saw 3D") and Barry Finnegan ("How the Make a David Lynch Film") are set to headline the indie sci-fi take "Life Tracker" at Red and Tan Productions says Variety.

Set in the near future, the story centers on a new device that's emerged to detect the time of death of everyone's life through DNA analysis, igniting fear and paranoia throughout the world.

Finnegan plays an aspiring filmmaker that chronicles the hysteria and stumbles upon the mystery behind the company behind the device.

Joe McClean ("How the Make a David Lynch Film") penned and directs the film which has started shooting in Los Angeles.

Matt Dallas, Rebecca Marshall, and Barry Finnegan to Lead Sci-Fi Feature ‘Life Tracker’
Indie sci-fi is always exciting to hear about, no matter how the eventual project turns out — be it a Moon or, God forbid, Another Earth. The latest line in this recent movement, is Life Tracker, which Variety says will be led by Kyle Xy‘s Matt Dallas, Saw 3D‘s Rebecca Marshall and How to Make a David Lynch Film‘s Barry Finnegan.

This project marks director Joe McClean‘s feature-length debut. He got his start with the six-minute short Coffee Connection back in 2008, and most recently directed the aforementioned How to Make a David Lynch Film — something we’d all like to know, I’m sure. The director has also written the script, with Sarju Patel and Debbie Vandermeulen are producing; NBA player-turned-producer Baron Davis and Marshall will executive produce.
