Ozzy Osbourne, the “Prince of Darkness” and iconic Black Sabbath frontman, tragically passed away on July 22, 2025, at age 76. Having had a string of health issues, including his 2020 Parkinson’s diagnosis, the metal legend continued performing until just weeks before his death.
Famous for his wild antics on the stage, no cause of death has been revealed by his family yet, as CNN reports. While tributes from across the world pour in, his legacy extends well beyond the confines of heavy metal and Black Sabbath. In a cameo that not everyone remembers, Osbourne once appeared in an episode of South Park.

Flavor Flav is using his platform to speak out against guns and to fight for reform.
The hip-hop legend and Public Enemy founder just dropped his new single “March Madness” with Chuck D.
“To us, March Madness is not about the left or the right or politics—it’s about the need to unify, as human beings, to say what is right and what is wrong. Stop putting a price tag on the heads of our children,” Flav wrote in his Newsweek op-ed.
He added, “We are marching ourselves into madness, both in the crazy and angry senses of the word. We are caught in an epidemic of gun violence with no sign we can stop or change course.”
Flav noted how he “went to jail because of guns,” so he is “speaking from first-hand experience.”
“Fear and power are two of the biggest emotions that drive us. America is being built on fear.

Even after forty years, Public Enemy have not given up on fighting the power. Case in point: their new song “March Madness” protests against gun violence and “crooked politicians who ain’t playing fair.” Stream it below.
Dropping yesterday in honor of Juneteenth, the track opens with what sounds like a 911 dispatch call being played on the news. After “The Masked Singer” wraps up its “Lucky Season 13” on Wednesday night, Fox is giving the show a bit of a breather. The network is set to unveil a fall schedule on Monday that won’t include the hit singing competition for the first time in several years — saving Season 14 until January 2026.
The news will also be revealed on Wednesday night’s finale. Per a network statement, “Among Fox’s most enduring signature shows is The Masked Singer with a truly devoted fanbase. This juggernaut will return next year for Season 14 as it takes midseason by storm with a spectacular, super-charged new season.”
The network added that the decision to hold off on the new season until January “is a strategic move to give ample runway for America’s favorite guessing game. and allow us to creatively look at enhancing the show with the biggest names at the center of it.

Exclusive: The Masked Singer has been renewed after producing an incredible 13 seasons and more than 170 episodes since it launched on Fox in January 2019.
This included a number of seasons produced under strict Covid protocols with the music competition guessing game, which has aired one season at the start of the year and one in the fall, never missing a run throughout the pandemic.
However, Deadline understands that this is about to change with the show eschewing its traditional fall 2025 season and planning to return for Season 14 in January.
The news comes as the Season 13 finale is set to air tonight. This season has featured the likes of Cedric the Entertainer, Oscar De La Hoya, Aubrey O’Day, Scheana Shay, Flavor Flav, James Van Der Beek, Candace Cameron Bure, Method Man, Erika Jayne, Matthew Lawrence and Edwin McCain. Four celebrities have yet to be unmasked – those performing as Boogie Woogie, Coral, Mad Scientist Monster and Pearl.

On its massive-eyed face, “The Masked Singer” may seem like just a goofy reality competition series, meant for little more than an hour of escapism. And really, it is that. Fox’s singing contest is predicated on sticking various calibers of famous people in insane, occasionally nightmare-fueling costumes, having them perform for a live audience, and letting the audience guess who the voice belongs to.
It’s simple and merry, if occasionally a little obvious (just about everyone clocked Vanessa Hudgens and Amber Riley immediately). But, as it wraps up its 13th season this week, “The Masked Singer” has also become something else entirely, according to those who have competed on it — a surprisingly therapeutic experience.
The show originated in South Korea in 2015, titled “King of Mask Singer.” In 2017, executive producer Craig Plestis, a veteran in reality TV and now the President and CEO of Smart Dog Media, watched an...

Coachella is known for hosting some of the biggest headliners for music festivals, but they also find room for more unique acts. This year, Yo Gabba Gabba!, the band from the titular children’s show, performed at the Mojave Tent, and brought on a slew of guests, including “Weird Al” Yankovic for his debut performance at the Indio festival.
“Weird Al” joined Ygg! for their final song, a cover of The Muppets’ “Rainbow Connection” which received a roar of applause at its end from the crowd. “Weird Al” wasn’t the only guest for the cover though: Portugal the Man., Thundercat, and Paul Williams, who co-wrote the 1978 song made an appearance, too.

Flavor Flav brought the hype to the desert this weekend!
The hip-hop icon made not one, but two surprise appearances during Day 2 of 2025 Coachella on Saturday (April 12) — and the crowd couldn’t get enough.
The 65-year-old Public Enemy hype man first popped up during Blu DeTiger’s high-energy performance at the Do Lab stage, where he hyped up the crowd with his signature charisma and oversized clock chain. He even wore a shirt that read “Flavor Flav is here for the Bass Queen” in honor of Blu, who’s best known as a singer/songwriter and bass guitar virtuoso — and made history as the youngest and first woman to have a Fender signature bass guitar. The crowd went wild the second he hit the stage!
Shortly after, Flavor Flav pulled off another unexpected cameo — this time at the Yo Gabba Gabba! set inside the Mojave tent. Yes, that Yo Gabba...

Gold Derby is celebrating its 25th anniversary with our series of "25 in '25" highlighting the best, worst, and weirdest of the 2000s.
At the turn of the century, a new genre of television made its way to the mainstream that was less polished and more accessible than its traditional drama and comedy counterparts. Dubbed "reality TV" because of its focus on everyday people instead of actors, this low-budget, documentary-style format pioneered by shows like The Real World became instantly lucrative for networks. Competition programs like Survivor, American Idol, and The Amazing Race soon dominated the broadcast channels, while unstructured fare like Jersey Shore, The Real Housewives, and The Osbournes took over cable.

Why Did Sylvester Stallone’s Edgar Allan Poe Biopic With Robert Downey Jr. Never Work Out? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Sylvester Stallone once had a dream project: an Edgar Allan Poe biopic. And guess who he wanted as his leading man? Robert Downey Jr. But there was one tiny problem—Stallone wanted to wait until the Iron Man star was “hot again” before making it happen.
Stallone has always been more than just a muscle-bound action star. The Rocky legend has a passion for writing. Over the years, he’s penned several scripts. One of his most ambitious ideas was a film about Edgar Allan Poe. He wasn’t prying in making a dark and depressing movie, though. Instead, he wanted to capture the genius and spirit of Poe rather than dwell on the tragic realities of his life.
In an old interview with Roger Ebert, Sylvester Stallone spilled the beans about his plans.

On Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, the contestant known as Space Ranger was eliminated —but their unmasking was met with pure jubilation. Underneath the mask was Public Enemy’s very own Flavor Flav. Watch the reveal below.
During this Ghostbusters-themed episode, the masked contestants performed songs from the film series. Public Enemy’s founding hype man took on The BusBoys’ “Cleaning Up the Town.” After his performance, most of the judging panel—Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Rita Ora—correctly guessed Flavor Flav was behind the alien mask, while Ken Jeong, the lone outlier, guessed DJ Jazzy Jeff.
His reveal was met with a roar of applause with host Nick Cannon barely containing his excitement. “[This is] literally my favorite person ever… the one and only legend, Flavor Flaavvvv!” Cannon roared in the rapper’s signature inflection.

There was something strange in the neighborhood tonight on The Masked Singer, but the Group B contestants ain't afraid of no ghost! On "Ghostbusters Night," panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora transformed into ghost busting detectives along with an iconic visit from an original Ghostbuster, Ernie Hudson.
During the summer of 1984 this comedy classic became the number one movie of the year and since then, its legacy has lived on and permeated pop culture with countless cartoons, films, and merchandise. Group B brought the house down with amazing performances before one iconic celebrity revealed themselves in the all-new "Ghostbusters Night" episode of The Masked Singer that aired Wednesday, March 12 (8 p.m. Et/Pt) on Fox.

It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means. Another celebrity had to go home on The Masked Singer season 13, episode 5.
Caution: This post contains Spoilers for The Masked Singer season 13, episode 5.
It was Ghostbusters Night on the series, and that meant a few Ghostbusters and scary clues. Mckenna Grace and Ernie Hudson both made some guest appearances — one of them in person — to deliver some clues for the remaining four Group B singers.
There were a few clues that helped to cement a couple of ideas. I’m sticking with my theory that James Van Der Beek is Griffin, based on Mckenna Grace saying she co-starred with the person under the mask and that he was a great dad on the set. Grace played Van Der Beek’s daughter in CSI: Cyber.
I also fully agree with Rita and Jenny that it’s Flavor Flav under the Space Ranger mask.

Daylight Saving Time means that we lost an hour of sleep this past weekend, so Flavor Flav has the perfect solution if you’re feeling groggy this week.
The hip-hop legend partnered with 5-hour Energy to promote the brand’s smallest-ever innovation while meeting with commuters at Grand Central Station on Monday morning (March 10) in New York City.
The brand has new 1-hour Energy shots that are 0.4 oz to be exact. Consumers can get the new 1-hour Energy for free with any 5-hour Energy product purchased at 5HourEnergy.com, while supplies last.
“We’ve got this daylight savings time coming around, so what we decided to do is that we wanted to give you one hour back,” Flav told Forbes. “So we’ve got this one-hour energy shot comin’ at you.”
“It’s a perk me up, y’know what I’m sayin’?” he added. “It really help you out through your day.
