As previewed at Toy Fair, Neca is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Rob Zombie‘s The Devil’s Rejects with Tiny and Baby Firefly action figures.
Tiny, played by the late Matthew McGrory, includes a hood that fits over his head. Baby, played by Sheri Moon Zombie, comes with a pistol and shotgun.
Each 7″ scale articulated toy is packaged in a window box. Pre-orders are live for a March 2026 release.
Longtime collectors may recall that Neca made figures of these characters back in 2005, but they’ve been reworked for the new releases.
In the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, the homicidal Firefly family goes on the run, but the clan’s rampage is cut short when a sheriff follows.
Moon Zombie and McGrory star alongside Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Ken Foree, Leslie Easterbrook, and William Forsythe.

Ever since news broke that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will conclude with a shortened fifth season, fans have been eager to know what’s next for the franchise. As it turns out, co-creator Akiva Goldsman and co-showrunner Henry Alonso Myers already have a new series in mind that would pick up right where Strange New Worlds leaves off. The potential project, dubbed Star Trek: Year One, would take place during the first year of Captain James T. Kirk’s five-year mission.
Goldsman has previously told TrekMovie that the finale of Strange New Worlds will show Kirk’s first day in command of the Enterprise, but he feels that there’s some wiggle room between that moment and Where No Man Has Gone Before, the first episode of The Original Series to feature Kirk. “Strange New Worlds ends on Jim Kirk’s first day of work as captain of the Enterprise,...

Ken Foree plays an unforgettable role in one of the great movies ever made, the George A. Romero classic Dawn of the Dead (get it Here) – so it’s nice to hear (as reported by our friends at Bloody Disgusting) that the makers of the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds decided to pay tribute to Foree in their recent, unexpected zombie episode! In the third episode of Strange New Worlds‘ third season, the crew of the starship Enterprise ventured to a planet that was overrun by zombie-like creatures – and this planet was called Kenfori! The Ken Foree reference even made it into the title of the episode: Shuttle to Kenfori.
Word of the tribute quickly made its way to Ken Foree himself, who posted on social media, “I know this is out there, but I wanted to share this with you as well. It’s an honor and...

The mid-2000s were a wild time in horror. From originals like Wolf Creek, High Tension, and the dawn of Saw, to a litany of dark Platinum Dunes remakes. Audiences made it very clear that we wanted it nasty. Then we wanted it even nastier at home on an “unrated” DVD in the months that followed. It’s very apropos then that this is the era when Rob Zombie: Director was born. Following up 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses, the rock star turned director was ready to shock audiences with depravity once more. Only this time, he didn’t want you to laugh uncomfortably at his sick circus. He wanted to suck all the cartoon air out of the room and make you feel the horror as if you were there. To do so would require him to push his actors to the limits of their minds darkest places,...

The latest episode of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” boldly goes where no “Star Trek” has gone before.
Season 3’s third episode sends the crew of the starship Enterprise to a zombie-infested planet known as Kenfori, named after Dawn of the Dead star Ken Foree.
“It’s an honor and a privilege to have a planet named after me in ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,'” Foree wrote on Twitter.
Director Dan Liu and writers Onitra Johnson and Bill Wolkoff also included a few other references to George A. Romero‘s seminal zombie films — including a Klingon whose dying words, “Choke on me,” echo Rhodes’ unforgettable “Choke on ’em!” from Day of the Dead.
The title of the episode, “Shuttle to Kenfori,” may also be a nod to Train to Busan, while the plant-like zombies evoke “The Last of Us.”
“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” is streaming on Paramount+.

Rob Zombie has been one of the most polarizing figures in the horror community since making the leap from musician to filmmaker. He made his feature writing and directorial debut with House of 1000 Corpses in 2003 — after being purchased by Lionsgate when its original studio, Universal, shelved it three years prior due to fears of it receiving a dreaded Nc-17 rating.
Corpses fell victim to many issues faced by first-time directors — Zombie was seemingly unsure if he’d ever get the opportunity to make another movie, resulting in an anarchic mélange of ideas and influences — but the end result remains potent all these years later. Despite the troubled production and a largely unfavorable critical response, the film turned a healthy profit, giving Zombie the sinister urge to make a sequel as his sophomore effort.
Released 20 years ago today, The Devil’s Rejects is decidedly more grounded in reality than its heightened predecessor.

A few months ago, it was revealed that Walmart has purchased the Monroeville Mall, the primary filming location for the George A. Romero classic Dawn of the Dead (get it Here). For decades, fans have been going to the Monroeville Mall to check out the spots where Romero had zombies walk and bikers ride – and while there have been plenty of changes over the years, this sale has fans worried that things are going to be changing too much soon. We still don’t know how much Walmart intends to change the property – and now Dawn of the Dead star Ken Foree has joined the fans who have been speaking out on social media and signing a Save the Monroeville Mall petition in trying to make sure this piece of history will be preserved.

The Monroeville Mall, where George A. Romero famously filmed Dawn of the Dead, was recently sold to Walmart. Although the retail giant has yet to disclose its plans for the property, horror fans are concerned about losing the iconic location.
The mall is currently home to a bronze bust of Romero, commemorating its cinematic legacy, as well as The Living Dead Museum. It has also hosted zombie walks, tours, and conventions, in addition to becoming a tourist spot for horror fans.
Ken Foree, who starred as Peter Washington in Dawn of the Dead, shared his impassioned thoughts about the future of the Monroeville Mall on social media:
“This place means a great deal to millions. It is now going to be replaced by a major retailer. The question is: does the Monroeville Mall have the necessary requirements to become a Historical Landmark? Historical Landmarks are places where people visit because...

Brian Yuzna is something of a B-horror legend, having produced certified cult classics like Re-Animator and From Beyond, and directing the body horror masterpiece Society. Yuznas best works have all been in collaboration with another horror legend, Stuart Gordon, and the pair would reunite once again in 1996 for a squirm-inducing slasher. The Dentist stars Corbin Bernsen as the titular dentist, a villain that we can all be afraid of. Even the best visits to the dentist are often uncomfortable, but Yuzna and Gordon make the whole affair into a total nightmare. Lead by a great performance from Bernsen, and featuring appearances by the likes of Ken Foree and a young Mark Ruffalo, The Dentist is a fun B-horror slasher that is sure to inspire new phobias this Halloween.

Halloween: Resurrection in 2002 seemed to close the door on the original film’s run. It had run out of gas and failed both critically, with a 10% score on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as commercially, with it only bringing in 37 million on its 15-million-dollar budget. The next year would see Freddy and Jason clash with each other and Leatherface get the remake treatment from studio Platinum Dunes. While Freddy and Jason would get their own remakes in 2009 and 2010 respectively, you know you can’t keep a good masked villain down for long. So, before his two main slasher rivals got their day in the sun, Michael Myers would receive his own remake that came out in 2007. With a drastically different take and a new producer behind the wheel, Halloween would get a chance to do something drastically different than anything we had seen before. Everyone will be entitled to one good...

Shaun of the Dead star Simon Pegg has an issue with another major zombie movie that was also released 20 years ago. In 2004, director Zack Snyder released the James Gunn-penned Dawn of the Dead remake, a reimagining of the classic zombie movie by George A. Romero.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Pegg shared how he really does not want to see Shaun of the Dead get rebooted. He explained how a reimagined version of the film wouldn't be able to recapture what the original one was, and that had him feeling leery about another filmmaker making a movie that used the same Shaun of the Dead name. He then addressed how Snyder's Dawn of the Dead bothers him, suggesting that it was "disrespectful" for that film to use the same title as Romero's 1978 classic.

Horror movies are known for bringing terror and violence, but even they have limits on their on-screen brutality and grim tones. More than just cutting content to avoid harsher ratings and overly putting off audiences, horror movies will occasionally change their entire endings. From not being consistent with the tone of the rest of the movie to going too far with its graphic content, these alternate endings are often major departures that would have changed everything. Even the biggest horror classics and established franchises see these big changes, altering endings for a variety of reasons in post-production.
With that in mind, we've rounded up some of the biggest horror movies with alternate endings that were more brutal than the ones included with their respective theatrical cuts. These planned endings each went a step too far with their content and tone, which is why each of them were ultimately cut. You'll...

The late, great George A. Romero is a legend. Romero started his career making short industrial films, but it was his 1968 breakthrough "Night of the Living Dead" that would ensure his legacy. Romeo continued to work steadily until his death in 2017, a true outsider always trying to maintain his own singular vision, bucking against the studio system. While Romero primarily worked in horror, he also stepped outside of the genre with 1981's "Knightriders." This underseen feature is about a traveling renaissance fair troupe who perform jousts while riding motorcycles instead of horses. It's kind of wild.

Red.
Vivid. Shaggy. The image is bright and engaging but suffocating too. The frame is papered with the color and, indeed, foreshadows the bloody palette from which the remainder of the film’s runtime will be painted. Rather than a betrayal of what’s to come, the domineering shade foretells the imminent delivery of a new world, birthed from the remains of what came before: a new dawn.
The sun first crested on Monroeville Mall’s legions of the lumbering undead in April of 1979 in the US with Dawn of the Dead (1978), shepherding George A. Romero’s bitingly satirical, deeply unsettling, and grossly gore-fueled vision of consumerist America into the public consciousness and forever warping the DNA of genre entertainment. It is this glistening sunrise that went on to usher forth a day, a land and eventually an empire of Romero’s own manufacture, solidifying the ideas he had begun...

As Easter Sunday approaches this weekend, we thought we’d “die” your eggs a little a differently. That is, we’re on the great hidden treasure hunt for some of the most colorful and delicious horror movie Easter eggs found in some of our favorite titles. But here’s the thing. We aren’t talking about obscure cameos from people that are hard to miss, or even secretive foreshadowing within a single movie, a la the entire Final Destination franchise. Nor are we talking about mere verbal references to other horror movies. Rather, we’re interested in visual crossover clues found one horror movie that pay homage to another, found tucked away in the background or even hidden in plain sight. You see the distinction. Good. Hopefully you haven’t already seen what’s to follow. Happy holiday y’all, here’s our Top 10 Favorite Crossover Horror Movie Easter Eggs!

Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake pays homage to Romero's classic while forging its own path in the zombie genre. Snyder sets the tone with a visceral opening that showcases fast-moving zombies and relentless energy throughout the film. Dawn of the Dead is a lean, tightly-paced horror remake that revitalized the zombie genre and remains Snyder's highest-rated film.
Before director Zack Snyder took on the DC Extended Universe and began making sci-fi epics for Netflix, the filmmaker burst onto the scene with the daunting task of directing a remake of George A. Romero's 1978 zombie horror classic, Dawn of the Dead. Showing early signs of confidence taking on material that could make him the target of rabid fans who may have taken issue with him touching one of Romero's best films, Snyder went into the remake desiring to pay homage to what Romero did in the past...

The George A. Romero classic Dawn of the Dead (get it Here) is a film that can actually reasonably celebrate its 45th anniversary in two separate years. While its premiere was held at the Cannes Film Festival in 1978 and a cut of the film that was put together by co-financier Dario Argento for non-English speaking countries was given a theatrical release in Italy that year, the cut Romero put together for English-language speaking territories didn’t make its way to screens in the United States until ’79. So whether you’re celebrating Dawn of the Dead‘s 45th anniversary in 2023 or 2024, or both, you’re still doing it right. Red Band Releasing is looking to bring Dawn of the Dead back to the screen in the U.S. and Canada this year, and have sent out a message to fans, telling them that if they want to see the movie on the big screen,...

One outlandish moment from 2004's Dawn of the Dead was all screenwriter James Gunn's idea, though director Zack Snyder was happy to have the scene in the film.
In the zombie movie, which was a loose remake of George A. Romero's classic film of the same name, the cast of characters included Mekhi Phifer as an expectant father and Inna Korobkina as his pregnant wife. They have their child in the midst of a zombie outbreak, and the reveal of the zombie baby would become one of the movie's most talked about moments. Per Letterboxd, Snyder shared how the zombie baby was all Gunn's idea, though the director nevertheless stands by the scene's inclusion, noting that he personally loves it.

Regal Cinemas is bringing Dawn of the Dead back to theaters for one night only on October 27th in celebration of the horror classic’s 45th anniversary.
George A. Romero’s 1978 film — a sequel of sorts to his 1968 project Night of the Living Dead — stars David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, and Gaylen Ross as survivors of a zombie outbreak who take refuge in a suburban shopping mall while mass hysteria wreaks havoc on their town. While in production, the project caught the attention of fellow horror filmmaker Dario Argento who agreed to co-finance the film in exchange for distribution rights in his home country of Italy. Having recently come to international acclaim with his magnum opus Suspiria, Argento’s co-sign on Dawn of the Dead also helped propel Romero’s success.

George A. Romero’s elite classic Dawn of the Dead turns 45 years old this year, while Zack Snyder’s remake approaches its own 20th anniversary. But the two different versions of Dawn of the Dead are far from the only two horror movies set inside shopping malls.

Every once in a while, the first few frames of a film will capture you. It isn’t common, but certain ones – in any genre – ingratiate right out of the gate. Such is the case with Death Spa (1988); when lightning hits the ‘Starbody Health Spa’ leaving only the letters ‘Death Spa’ lit up within the first moments, I knew I was in for some fun. Anything that riffs on Motel Hell (1980)’s ‘Motel Hello’ sign can’t be all bad, you know? Death Spa is as high energy as its title implies, twice as goofy, and has more than enough plot for three films.
It was a weird time for horror; by the late ‘80s slashers couldn’t cut through a paper bag, so filmmakers sometimes turned to the supernatural for new thrills (or at least ones absent from the screen for a bit). Director Michael Fischa (My Mom's a Werewolf...

The 1981 film Knightriders (watch it Here) isn’t a horror film, but comes from one of our all-time greatest genre film directors (and my personal favorite of the bunch), George A. Romero. It’s a brilliant, emotional dramatic film that also features some really cool extended motorcycle stunt sequences… and I’m glad to hear that the folks at Scare Flair Records are giving the score composed by Donald Rubinstein a vinyl release.
The vinyl is now available to order through ScareFlair.com. The site notes that the records are already in hand and will begin shipping out almost immediately.

Horror fans are no strangers to the curse of deleted scenes and the seemingly arbitrary nature of the MPAA. Genre heavyweights like Brandon Cronenberg must contend with a rating system that can make or break a film, while studios cut R-rated features, endeavoring to garner that more accessible, ever-so-profitable PG-13. Throughout horror history, there are hundreds of excised scenes, some of which, including the now infamous baboon from "The Fly," are readily available, with others, such as many "Friday the 13th" deaths, relegated to the annals of "could have been."
Even more curious, however, are ideas so brutal they were never filmed, to begin with. While brutality at times seems to be the genre's core attraction, there are times when, either at the behest of a studio or filmmaker, planned scenes are scrapped. While the reasons differ from production to production, here we'll be looking at six ideas from famous...

There’s something inherently unsettling about teeth, and the addition of someone prodding at them with sharp instruments is especially invasive. On the other side of that coin, the negative association with dentistry can impact the professionals. Cult filmmaker Brian Yuzna tapped into these fundamental fears with his 1996 direct-to-video film, The Dentist, and its 1998 sequel, The Dentist 2.
In fact, Yuzna knew he could sell the movie based on the title alone, so he solicited writers to pitch him on the concept. It was his old pals Stuart Gordon and Dennis Paoli — for whom Yuzna had produced Re-Animator and From Beyond — that cracked the script. Charles Finch (who went on to executive produce David Cronenberg’s Spider) was later brought in to punch it up.
Continuing the underlying social commentary Yuzna explored with Society, the film centers on hot-headed dentist Alan Feinstone. After catching his wife (Linda Hoffman) going down...
