88-Year-Old Buddy Guy To Play “Experience Hendrix” Show

At 88 years old, Buddy Guy is still going strong. While the guitar legend may have retired from touring last year, he’s still making new music and was just added to the final show of this spring’s “Experience Hendrix” tour.

As previously reported, the upcoming run of the “Experience Hendrix” tour will kick off March 11th in Cincinnati and feature such guitarists as Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Zakk Wylde, Eric Johnson, Devon Allman, Samantha Fish, and more playing Jimi Hendrix songs. Now, Buddy Guy has signed on to perform at the tour’s closing date at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on April 12th, with tickets to that show and the entire outing available here.

“Thank you to the Hendrix Tour family for bringing me back to perform at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta on April 12,” stated Guy, whom the late Jimi Hendrix cited as an influence.

Hear Jon Bellion Transform Switchfoot’s Millennial Grunge Angst into Orchestral Pop

Earlier this year, Switchfoot took a cue from Taylor Swift and put out what they called “our version” of their 2003 album, The Beautiful Letdown. Now they’re expanding it into a deluxe edition filled with cover versions by the Jonas Brothers, Ryan Tedder, Owl City, and Tyler Joseph from Twenty One Pilots, among others. “To hear our friends and heroes singing these songs of ours — such legendary voices, such amazing talent — it’s truly a wonderful, strange gift,” Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman said in a statement.

The deluxe edition will come out on Sept.

DaniElle DeLaite sat down recently with Merritt Patterson & Samuel Hunt and Jon Foreman & Tim Foreman from Switchfoot to talk about their movie Unbroken – Path to Redemption. It is an unofficial sequel to Angelina Jolie’s 2014 film Unbroken, starring Jack O’Connell and Domhnall Gleeson.

Telling the true story of Olympian Louis Zamperini the film stars Samuel Hunt as Zamperini, Merritt Patterson, Vincenzo Amato, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Bobby Campo, Bob Gunton, Maddalena Ischiale, David Sakurai, and Gary Cole.
