With Nosferatu a critical, audience, and box office hit, viewers can't seem to get enough of vampire movies as Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 Bram Stoker's Dracula has become a streaming hit on Tubi, hitting number six on the charts. The film stars Gary Oldman as a scenery-chewing Dracula along with Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing. It received positive reviews at the time of its release and did well at the global box office, earning nearly $216 million globally on a $40 million budget.
Coppola's adaptation is a gothic and atmospheric take on the original book by Stoker. But don't expect anything in the realm of Universal Studio's classic monster movies as this film was produced and released by TriStar Pictures (Sony). Oldman's initial appearance as Dracula is different, to say the least. He appears as an old man with an interesting hair-do, robe, and long nails.

No matter what the era, vampires never go out of style. Since Sheridan Le Fenu first wrote the 1872 premiere vampire tale Carmilla, the immortal beings of everyone's nightmares have always been a source of fascination. The nightwalker's diet of human blood and aversion to sunlight have often given birth to a genre that delves into the metaphor. The horror subgenre has given rise to many popular franchises, such as Twilight and The Vampire Diaries.
However, the films that focus on the darker aspects of human nature and metaphorical stories about the creatures of the night are the most impressive. Certainly, Twilight has a place in pop culture for its own success, but there is only a collection of vampire films that are the cream of the crop.

Vampires are the most used mythical creatures in horror films, and one is the most defining figure for the genre: Dracula, which features several descriptions and interpretations. Bram Stoker's Dracula is signaled out as one of the greatest movies in the genre, and, ahead of Robert Egger's take on Nosferatu, the film will be available to stream for free soon.
Bram Stoker's Dracula will be one of the titles that will be available on Tubi starting Dec. 1. The goth horror comes from The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola and is one of the many adaptations following the popular vampire. The free streaming service will add the vampire film alongside Adam Sandler's iconic comedy Happy Gilmore, Martin Scorsese's Leonardo DiCaprio film The Departed, as well as Sicario 1 and 2, and Kick-Ass, among others.

Asking actors to switch accents for a role is always a risk, and some great movies were nearly ruined by terrible British accents. Great Britain has a remarkable number of different accents. People from neighboring towns can sound extremely different, like in the cases of Liverpool and Manchester. In some cases, people from the same city can still have different accents based on their class, race and upbringing. This makes some British accents extremely esoteric and hard to pick up for outsiders.
Britain's range of accents is so extreme that even British actors can struggle to adapt. Actors from London might have a tough time sounding like they're from Glasgow, for example. Any British person will immediately be able to tell if an accent is authentic or not, and a phony accent can ruin an entire movie. Fortunately, these movies have enough good qualities to ensure that one notoriously bad accent doesn't spoil them.
