Weston Coppola Cage, the adult son of actors Nicolas Cage and Christina Fulton, was granted a two-year mental health diversion program Wednesday to resolve two felony assault charges alleging he “snapped” and violently attacked his mother and a friend outside at his apartment complex last year.

“Mr. Cage does suffer from an eligible mental health disorder. I’m satisfied it was a significant factor in the commission of the charged offenses,” Los Angeles County Judge Enrique Monguia said at a morning hearing. “It’s obvious he was suffering a breakdown at the time.

Christina Fulton, ex-girlfriend of Nicolas Cage, dropped the actor from a lawsuit against their son Weston Coppola Cage, but is still suing Weston for an assault that allegedly occurred back in April 2024.

On Monday, a Los Angeles County Superior Court granted Fulton a dismissal of the charges against Cage. It can not be refiled in court.

Fulton earlier alleged that Cage knew their 34-year-old son had a history of mental instability, substance abuse and was violent. The lawsuit claimed that the actor bailing his son out of jail amounted to negligence, which he was originally sued for, on two counts.

But the eccentric screen legend’s latest legal drama stems not from his actions, but rather from those of his troubled son Weston.

Back in April of 2024, Weston was arrested for assaulting his own mother, Christina Fulton. It was not his first arrest on domestic violence charges.

Nicolas Cage has spoken out after his ex Christina Fulton accused him of enabling their son’s bad behavior, which ultimately led to 34-year-old Weston Coppola Cage allegedly assaulting her.

“The allegations by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are absurd and frivolous,” the actor’s lawyer told TheWrap in a Thursday statement. “Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston’s behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston’s alleged assault of his mother.”

Cage’s commentary comes after Fulton sued him and their son on Wednesday for their respective roles in an April 2024 incident that turned physical. Last July, Weston was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon after what she called a “mental-health crisis.”

In her lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by TheWrap, Fulton claims Weston has “a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals.

The 55-year-old actor submitted an application for annulment on Wednesday, according to court records obtained by People.

Washington Nov. 14: Nicolas Cage has said that the photographs that allegedly feature him in compromising positions with his ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, have never existed.

Law enforcement officers told TMZ that the intimate photos had been stolen by a former handyman, who broke into Fulton's house in April and took off with four computers and a box of some wild photos.

Ricardo Orozco was arrested last month and was charged with felony burglary, however he's pled not guilty and is currently being held on 1-million-dollar-bail.

The pictures are yet to be found, and police are actively on the hunt.

According to sources, the actor had never clicked any nude photos with Fulton, who is his 22-year-old son,.

Los Angeles, Nov 13: Nicolas Cage and his ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton's x-rated photos were reportedly stolen from the his home earlier this year and the snapshots are still missing.

According to law enforcement, the intimate pics were stolen by a former handyman, who broke into Fulton's house in April and jacked four computers and box of wild photos, reports tmz.com.

The handyman, Ricardo Orozco, was arrested last month and was charged with felony burglary.

He's pleaded not guilty and is currently being held on $1 million bail.

The photos have yet to be recovered, and we're told police are actively on the hunt, law enforcement officer said.

Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton and the former couple's troubled son Weston have signed up for a new reality TV series, according to new reports.

Fulton and her 20-year-old son will front new VH1 show Uncaged, which will follow their daily lives, and Weston is hoping the new project will show the public his true colours.

A source tells America's Star magazine, "Christina said the show will be like a modern-day Addams Family. Weston just wants to show the world he's not mentally ill."

Weston has had a tough 2011 so far - in July, the black metal rocker checked into rehab for a 30-day treatment programme and was twice arrested on suspicion of domestic violence following fights with his wife Nikki, who he married in April.

Weston also dismissed speculation he is envious of his songwriter partner's success and revealed plans for his own future goals.

He adds, "I would like to congratulate my multi-talented wife on her recent recording contract. I have always been supportive of her music. In no way would I ever be jealous of her successes, as I do not follow her preferred musical genre, and am personally working on a new solo album that I should have recorded a long time ago."...
