That drug intoxication involved amphetamines, cocaine, ethanol, and fentanyl, according to Deadline, which reported the Port Charles alum’s cause of death on Friday. Mary Painter, the 58-year-old’s mother, spoke out about her son’s death in a statement to the site. “It breaks my heart to learn that my son died this way,” she said. “David became reliant on medicine many years ago, after multiple surgeries on his hands and wrists.” Everett Collection Painter said that Gail’s pain prevented him from working for almost a decade, and that only “full disability, physical therapy, and pain medicine” offered relief. “He struggled to stop taking pharmaceuticals and did before turning toward a more Eastern pain management including acupuncture and natural medicines,...

The series follows Minnesota transplants Brandon (Jason Priestly) and Brenda Walsh (Shannon Doherty), two all-American midwesterners who relocate to the affluent suburbs of Los Angeles and experience a whirlwind of culture shock.

9 Relationships In '90s Teen Dramas You Probably Forgot Happened
Image
Dawson's Creek's Joey and Jack may be forgotten by viewers, but their relationship paved the way for exploring Jack's sexuality. Brenda and Stuart's engagement on Beverly Hills, 90210 was short-lived and easily forgotten. Willow and Kennedy's relationship on Buffy the Vampire Slayer was overshadowed by Willow and Tara's, making it overlooked by many fans.

Teen romance is often a roller coaster, and that's especially true on '90s teen dramas, where characters pass each other secret notes, break up loudly in corridors outside classrooms, and occasionally make out with vampires. It's no wonder the world of TV drama was a whirlwind for '90s kids, and many relationships from the period's most prominent series remain popular to this day.

The best '90s teen dramas feature some of the best and worst couples to ever appear on television, from Boy Meets World's Corey and Topanga to Dawson's Creek's Joey and Pacey.

Bradley Cooper, David Gail, and Colleen Porch in Bending All the Rules (2002)
DVD Review: Bending All the Rules
Bradley Cooper, David Gail, and Colleen Porch in Bending All the Rules (2002)
Title: Bending All the Rules Directors: Morgan Klein and Peter Knight Starring: Bradley Cooper, Colleen Porch (‘Transformers’), David Gail (TV’s ‘ER’) Bending all the rules is supposed to reference the gender stereotypes lead character Kenna (played by Colleen Porch) is supposed to break in the new Lionsgate DVD of the same name. However, despite featuring Bradley Cooper in one of his earliest lead roles, ‘Bending All the Rules’ fails to live up to its potential and use the fan favorite actor to its advantage. The movie smashes all the characteristics of comedies that make them successful, including funny characters and humorous situations, to largely focus on the fact that Kenna’s...

New this Week: ‘Bad Teacher,’ ‘Cars 2′ and ‘The Island (Bd)’
Hitting movie theaters this weekend:

Bad Teacher – Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, Justin Timberlake

A Better Life - Demián Bichir, José Julián, Eddie ‘Piolin’ Sotelo

Cars 2 – Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine

Movie of the Week

Bad Teacher

The Stars: Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel, Justin Timberlake

The Plot: A comedy centered around a foul-mouthed, junior high teacher (Diaz) who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague — a move that pits her against a well-loved teacher.

The Buzz: Nope, no buzz. No competition here. Bad Teacher could (or should) be Diaz’ swan song as a sex symbol, she’s just not looking the part these days. Director Jake Kasdan does have some reputable directorial chops, most notably five episodes of Freaks and Geeks, but this looks to be just another lukewarm comedy. A weak cast and a weak premise will probably doom this film at the box office.
