Nickelodeon Studios has dropped a brand-new trailer and first-look photos for its eagerly anticipated Thundermans spinoff series. Thundermans: Undercover, which began filming last August, will premiere at 7pm on Nickelodeon on January 22.

The trailer, first-look images, and premiere details arrive via Variety. Thundermans: Undercover focuses primarily on Kira Kosarin as Phoebe, Jack Griffo as Max, and Maya Le Clark as Chloe. Per Nickelodeon, the series "will follow Phoebe and Max, who are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the seaside town of Secret Shores and bring Chloe (Maya Le Clark) along to develop her superhero talent." In the first episode, "Thundercover," Phoebe and Max receive a new mission in their hi-tech beach home base, where their superhero identities remain a secret. They bring Chloe along to help her have a normal life, but the trio must stop the threats of Secret Shores and the true supervillain called Mastermind.

Phoebe, Chloe and Max are back in action in Nickelodeon’s spinoff series The Thundermans: Undercover, which will premiere Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7/6c, TVLine has learned. You can watch a full trailer above.

NBC says that Night Court has reached an audience of 25.7M in delayed viewing since it premiered on January 17. The premiere episode ranked as the No. 1 broadcast premiere of the 2022-23 season in both the ad-friendly 18-49 demographic and in total audience. In total viewers, it raked in the most viewers for any comedy premiere since The Conners debuted on ABC in 2018. It was NBC’s best comedy premiere since Will & Grace in 2017.

Netflix has added two series regulars to “Freeridge,” its spinoff of the recently concluded young adult series “On My Block.” Tenzing Norgay Trainor newly joins the cast, while “On My Block” star Peggy Blow appears in a new role, Variety has learned exclusively.

Named after the fictional Los Angeles neighborhood that “On My Block” takes place in, “Freeridge” follows a new crew of friends who may or may not have unleashed a deadly curse kicking off an unforgettable adventure.

In “On My Block,” Blow played Ruby’s (Jason Genao) grandmother Marisol Martinez, more often known as ‘Abuelita.’ She often acted as an accomplice to the teens’ various adventures in Freeridge. Her character in “Freeridge” is not yet known.

Diary of a Future President has come to an early end. It's been revealed that Disney+ has cancelled the coming-of-age TV show so, there won't be a third season. The second season of 10 episodes was released on August 18th.

A comedy-drama series, Diary of a Future President stars Tess Romero, Gina Rodriguez, Selenis Leyva, Charlie Bushnell, and Michael Weaver, with Jessica Marie Garcia, Carmina Garay, Sanai Victoria, Harmeet Pandey, Brandon Severs, and Nathan Arenas in recurring roles. The TV show unfolds the origin story of a future leader. Told via the narration of the diary of Elena Cañero-Reed (Romero), a 12-year-old Cuban American girl, the series follows her journey through the ups and downs of middle school. This sets her on the path to becoming the President of the United States. Season two follows Elena as she enters seventh grade.

Disney+’s Diary of a Future President has come to an end. The streaming service has canceled the series after two seasons. Series creator Ilana Peña revealed the news Monday on Twitter.

“Just found out that [“Diary of a Future President”] is not moving forward with a season 3 at Disney+,” Peña wrote. “Of course, we would love to continue telling this story, but I am filled with so much gratitude for the 2 seasons that we did get to make.”

“Diary of a Future President” has been canceled after two seasons at Disney Plus.

Series creator Ilana Peña broke the news on Twitter. “We found out that [“Diary of a Future President”] is not moving forward with a season 3 at Disney+,” Peña wrote. “Of course, we would love to continue telling this story, but I am filled with so much gratitude for the 2 seasons that we did get to make.” Her full statement can be seen below.

“Diary of a Future President” originally debuted on Disney Plus in January 2020, airing through March of that year. The entire second season was then released at once on Aug. 18, 2021.

Spotify has completed casting on its upcoming Batman Unburied scripted podcast series.

Jane the Virgin and Diary of a Future President star Gina Rodriguez will join the cast to voice Barbara Gordon.

The actor, who has featured on Netflix’s animated series Big Mouth, will play the daughter of former police commissioner Jim Gordon and star detective for Gotham Pd. Throughout the series, Barbara will grapple with her own ethics, as she tries to keep within the lines of police work yet is finding herself drawn to Batman’s self-styled method of justice.

She said she was excited to be going on this “sonic adventure” with the “iconic” role.

She joins a cast that already includes Winston Duke as Bruce Wayne and Jason Isaacs as Wayne’s loyal butler and right-hand man, Alfred.

Netflix announced that Bryana Salaz, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ciara Riley Wilson and Shiv Pai have joined the cast of “Freeridge,” the upcoming spinoff of “On My Block.”

The young adult comedy will reveal another side of the fictitious L.A. town Freeridge, following Salaz, Meija, Wilson and Pai’s characters as the new protagonists after they appeared in the series finale of “On My Block.” In “Freeridge,” the new core group end up on an adventure after realizing they may or may not have unleashed a deadly curse.

Salaz is best known for being a contestant on Season 7 of “The Voice” and later starring in “Team Kaylie,” while Mejia’s credits include Season 11 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Growing Fangs.” Wilson has appeared in “L.A. ‘s Finest” and “Kim Possible” and Pai has appeared in “Iron Fist” and “Uncut Gems.”

The streamer on Monday handed out a series order for Freeridge, which promises to present “another side” of the town of Freeridge.

In a surprising twist, the new series would be from the perspective of a new group of teeangers.

“The stories of Freeridge continue in this On My Block spinoff following a new crew of friends who may or may not have unleashed a deadly curse kicking off an unforgettable adventure,” according to the logline.

Netflix has ordered a spinoff of the YA comedy series “On My Block.”

The new series, titled “Freeridge,” hails from “On My Block” co-creators Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft along with “On My Block” co-producer Jamie Uyeshiro and “On My Block” co-executive producer Jamie Dooner. All are credited as co-creators and executive producers on the new series, with Uyeshiro, Gonzalez, and Haft also serving as co-showrunners.

“Co-creating and running ‘On My Block’ was and will always be a highlight of my life,” Iungerich said. “I am so proud to pass the baton to my incredible partners Eddie and Jeremy and the incomparable Jamie Uyeshiro who rocked it in the writers room from day one. There are more stories to tell of our beloved Freeridge and I cannot wait to continue to work with this talented team.”

The streamer on Monday dropped the trailer for On My Block Season 4, and it teases a lot of changes for the characters at the wheel of the series.

It begins in the past, with Cesar telling Monse that the only thing he will do in life is join a gang and turn to a life of crime.

Monse, of course, is trying to tell her love interest there's more out there for him.

Unfortunately, the characters are all apart when the final season debuts, with them all going their separate ways following a significant time jump.

It's an exciting way to shake up the dynamics for the final batch of episodes, but the road back to friendship for this quartet is not going to be easy.

A new two-hour documentary about Janet Jackson, simply titled “Janet,” will premiere in January 2022 on Lifetime and A&e in celebration of the star’s 40th anniversary of her debut album.

Jackson released a teaser for the documentary, in which fellow musicians such as Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul speak about their relationship with the singer. Jackson’s family members make appearances as well, with clips of the late Michael Jackson with his younger sister in home videos, as well as Tito Jackson saying, “She will always be my baby sister.”

Beneath the teaser is Jackson’s 1986 “Control,” which speaks to how she has taken charge of her own narrative and would like to speak in her own words about her life. “This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes,” Jackson says.

Tributes flooded Twitter following the news that rapper Biz Markie died Friday at age 57. The rapper nicknamed “the clown prince of Hip Hop” was best known for his humorous lyrics, original flow and his 1989 hit single “Just a Friend.”
