According to the folks over at TV Guide, NBC is not airing a repeat or new episode of Dateline NBC tonight, June 20, 2025. On a much brighter note, NBC does have NBC listed to air a new episode of Dateline NBC next Friday night, June 27, 2025. Since its release in 1975, Jaws has completely changed cinema and creature features. Ahead of its golden anniversary, the feature will be covered in the Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story documentary, which has been created with the critically acclaimed director's participation and blessing. Produced by Spielberg's own Amblin Documentaries and Nedland Films, ScreenRant officially unveiled the first trailer and revealed the 90-minute documentary Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story premieres on July 10 on National Geographic, and is set to stream on Disney+ and Hulu the next day, on July 11.

WeAreMovieGeeks.com attended the TCM Film Festival in Hollywood over the weekend and as usual, it did not disappoint! The theme of this year’s festival was Grand Illusions: Fantastic Worlds On Film and it was chock full of all the sci-fi, fantasy, and film-noir selections anyone could ask for!

The TCM Classic Film Festival opened April 24th with a 45th Anniversary screening of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back at the Tcl Chinese Theater followed by a conversation with filmmaker George Lucas.

Reiner will chat with Kathy Bates and Aaron Sorkin before screenings of his dramas Misery (1990) and The American President (1995), and for the closing night film, Michael Mann will be on hand for a presentation of his action-packed Heat (1995), whose memorable performances include one from the late Val Kilmer.

The festival takes place April 24-27 in Hollywood.

Other presenters announced Thursday to talk about the making of their films include Dullea for 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Bostwick for The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) and Young for Blade Runner (1982).

The 2025 TCM Classic Film Festival has announced its closing night selection, Michael Mann’s “Heat,” which marks its 30th anniversary this year. The 1995 crime drama stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and late actor Val Kilmer; a sequel is in the works, with Adam Driver and Austin Butler rumored to be playing the younger versions of De Niro and Pacino’s respective characters.

The 16th annual festival from Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has a theme of “Grand Illusions: Fantastic Worlds on Film.” The festival will take place April 24 to 27, with the “Heat” screening including a conversation with writer/director Mann.
