Dear esteemed readers and members of the Ton, you should be no stranger to some of the most absurd Bridgerton fan theories. One such theory is daring to ask what no one has: what if Viscount Edmund Bridgerton (Rupert Evans) is alive? We know he died because of a deadly bee sting when Lady Violet (Ruth Gemmell) was pregnant with Hyacinth.
But what if it was all a big ruse to escape the never-ending, gossip-mongering, promenade circles of the ton? What if all these years, Viscount Edmund has silently witnessed his family grow and evolve from a distance?
It’s a far stretch, but we know how TV show adaptations often deviate from their source material, breaking all logic. Case in point: Bridgerton Season 3 Episode 7. Let us take you down a rabbit hole of speculation as we dissect what a faked death for the Viscount could mean for the Ton.

After the controversial and oftentimes hated "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, Rey actress Daisy Ridley has had difficulty finding box office and critical success. Dystopian thrillers were outdated by the time the overly grim "Chaos Walking" came out in 2021, the Trudy Ederle biopic "Young Woman and the Sea" was too bland, and the psychological thriller "The Marsh King's Daughter" snoozed audiences rather than intrigued them. Her quietly fragile performance in "Sometimes I Think About Dying" was exquisite, but it was such a tiny indie release and the title might be off-putting to some.
Ridley recently starred in "Cleaner," which did poorly at the box office, earning only $1 million on a $25 million budget. Although it flew under the radar, "Cleaner" deserves far more credit. It's the kind of taut, explosive action flick for grown-ups that doesn't really exist anymore because theatres are bogged down with IP-driven franchises. The plot of terrorists taking...

There's some potentially exciting news to share with Bridgerton fans! As we wait for the upcoming fourth season, which just recently wrapped filming and will be released sometime next year, new word about another season of the franchise's beloved prequel series offshoot has arrived straight from one of the stars.

The prequel has long been regard as a favorite among fans and season 2 has been at the top of many wish lists since its release.

Connecting with a character that, for example, lives in another time period, can be quite the undertaking for an actor. When it comes to Bridgerton's Yerin Ha, the actress shared which two pieces of her character, Sophie Baek, allowed her to slip into character for the upcoming fourth season of the Regency-era Netflix drama. In an interview with Glamour, Ha revealed that it's "Sophie’s apron and headpiece immediately put me in her mind space." She says, "just having the weight of that on my head helps me get into her character." The upcoming season of Bridgerton will adapt the third book in the Julia Quinn book series: An Offer From a Gentleman. Ha is Season 4's leading lady, opposite Luke Thompson returning as Benedict Bridgerton.

Bridgerton Season 4 has officially wrapped production, meaning fans are closer than ever to seeing Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie’s (Yerin Ha) love story unfold onscreen as the episodes come together behind the scenes. While Netflix has already previously announced Season 4’s 2026 premiere and released a first clip of Thompson and Ha’s leading characters, the streamer announced the production’s wrap with a sweet behind-the-scenes video. The tease features several cast members in addition to Ha and Thompson, including Nicola Coughlan, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, Golda Rosheuvel, Hannah Dodd, Masali Baduza, Florence Hunt, Will Tilston, Martins Imhangbe, Emma Naomi, Hugh Sachs, Isabella Wei, Michelle Mao, Katie Leung, Oli Higginson, and Geraldine Alexander. “Do join us in bidding our dear Ton a farewell as they conclude the production of the forthcoming season! Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has potentially confirmed the show's upcoming season will include a major relationship milestone that was missing from Benedict's original story. Second son Benedict's (Luke Thompson) world is about to be turned upside down, as he falls in love with a Cinderella-like mystery woman, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), at his mother's masquerade ball. As ever, though, Bridgerton season 4 will feature the various members of the Bridgerton family, including Bailey's Viscount, Anthony Bridgerton, and his wife, Kate, the Viscountess (Simone Ashley).
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bailey confirmed that he was happy to return to Bridgerton for as long as they'll have him, a welcome piece of news considering Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) absence from the show in season 3. Bailey explained that he felt a "real sense of brotherly pride" while working on the show and accidentally let slip that he had...

If you were nervous about Jonathan Bailey and his fan-favorite character Anthony Bridgerton not appearing in future seasons of the hit Netflix historical romance, then worry no longer! The actor has made it clear he's not going anywhere, as long as the show keeps calling him back for more. With how much us fans love him, I'd hope the series would continue to do so.
The Bridgerton star recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his time before the drama, teased a little bit of what's to come in season 4 (hint: he confirmed there is a wedding!), and told the news outlet about his successful career following his character's more central storylines in the first two seasons. The great news is that while we are waiting for the fourth season, coming in 2026, Netflix has already renewed the series for seasons 5 and 6. With these updates, Bailey is definitely in it for the long haul.

Daisy Ridley will always be known for her role as Rey Skywalker in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, but earlier this year, she starred in an action thriller likened to John Wick upon its release, which has been a sensation on streaming. Ridley stars alongside Taz Skylar and Ruth Gemmell in Cleaner, the action vehicle following an ex-soldier-turned-window-cleaner who has to rescue hostages after a gala is hijacked and its attendees fall into major trouble. Cleaner began streaming on Max at the end of last week, and the film wasted no time climbing to the top of streaming charts, sitting at #1 at the time of writing. Cleaner earned a “rotten” 52% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but a slightly kinder 66% on the audience-driven Popcornmeter.
Simon Uttley, Paul Andrew Williams, and Matthew Orton wrote the script for Cleaner, and Martin Campbell directed the film. Orton also worked as a writer on Marvel’s Moon Knight series,...

Bridgerton season 4 is still a ways away, so you know that means we'll take any little tease that we can get! Thankfully, we've had a first-look with the upcoming masquerade ball, some fantastically beautiful images of this season's central couple, Benedict and Sophie, and even a sneak peek clip of when this Bridgerton sibling first lays eyes on her.
Well, his onscreen older brother also had a tease to share. Jonathan Bailey, aka Anthony, the eldest Bridgerton sibling, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter recently about his career. Of course the hit Netflix historical drama came up, and he revealed a little spoiler about the upcoming season. He told the news outlet that he'd been "filming a wedding... As we continue to wait for an official Bridgerton season 4 release date, our eyes are on signs that filming has wrapped and which parts of the novels will make it to the story. At the same time, we’re getting a few teases of new cast members joining the series.
What’s On Netflix has the latest tea about new cast members, making Bridgerton season 4 grow bigger as the months roll along. It looks like most of the main production has finished, with the official wrap party already taking place, but there are still some smaller scenes that seem to be filming. This could also be reshoots, which are normal for post-production, and they’re part of the reason why post-production can take a few months.

Daisy Ridley's action thriller, which has been compared to Die Hard, has become a streaming hit four months after it made just $1 million at the box office. Ridley rose from relative obscurity to superstardom when she was cast as Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy – headlining The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker – and is set to reprise her role in the upcoming New Jedi Order movie. However, since leaving Star Wars behind, Ridley's career has seen mixed results otherwise.
Following The Rise of Skywalker, her first few projects, the sci-fi film Chaos Walking and psychological thriller The Marsh King's Daughter, were both critical and commercial flops. She rebounded with the Sundance drama Sometimes I Think About Dying, delivering a superbly melancholic performance, and continued to turn in strong showings in Disney's Young Woman and the Sea and the neo-noir thriller Magpie. She has four Netflix shows at the moment, and there are sure to be more to come due to her deal with the streamer. Whether you want true crime or romance, there is something to check out, and we’re ranking the four shows from worst to best.

Earlier this year, Star Wars alum Daisy Ridley laced up her boots, loaded her guns and got to work in Martin Campbell’s high-octane flick, Cleaner. Though the movie didn’t sweep up the box office figures it was hoping for, it will have another chance to wipe the slate clean and start over again, as it has set a streaming arrival for Max on Friday, June 13. Though the movie left audiences wanting more, receiving a Rotten Tomatoes critics' approval rating of 51% and a slightly higher audience stamp of 66%, viewers could all agree on one thing — Ridley was born for a life of action. The film gives the actress her own Bruce Willis or Jason Statham-like character, and she steps up to the challenge without hesitation, making the role of the hero look like a piece of cake.

Luke Newton may now be sweeping us off our feet as the brooding Colin Bridgerton—resident heartthrob of the Ton—but long before he was trading smoldering stares across Regency ballrooms, he was belting out show tunes and breaking hearts as one of pop culture’s most iconic exes. That’s right, before he became the Duke of our daydreams, Luke was strutting his stuff onstage as Warner Huntington III in Legally Blonde: The Musical.
Yes, that Warner. The one who dumped Elle Woods for Harvard clout. Shocking, I know. And while I live for the slow-burn romance, corset tension, and carriage confessions, nothing gets my TikTok feed more fired up than a little behind-the-scenes tea.
So there I was, innocently doom-scrolling, when I stumbled on a very unexpected crossover: Luke Newton and Reese Witherspoon. And no, it’s not a secret rom-com. It’s even better. Hold onto your bonnets,...

Benedict Bridgerton and the modiste Genevieve Delacroix shared a dalliance of sorts — one that His Lordship never quite saw fit to properly conclude. Oh, what a grievous oversight for the show!
While the heart of Season 1 beat loudly for Daphne’s scandalous dance with the Duke, the rest of the Bridgerton brood were embroiled in their own tangled webs of affection and desire. Take Anthony, for instance: hopelessly enamored with Siena Rosso, yet tragically unable to claim her heart. But he was hardly alone in the affairs of the flesh.
Benedict, too, was no stranger to a more casual arrangement, and whispers around the Ton hinted at loyalties that stretched far beyond the ballroom…perhaps even beyond the bounds of propriety.

Four down, and four more to go. Lady Violet definitely has her hands full getting her Bridgerton bunch on the marriage mart. As we'll see in Bridgerton season 4, she's already getting halfway through her darling children. Now that Daphne, Anthony, and Colin are married off, it's Benedict's turn in the fourth season. And we absolutely can't wait to see him and Sophie's love story play out in 2026. Though, we're also already thinking ahead to Bridgerton season 5 (and 6 too!).
But let's focus on the one for now. Along with an enchanting sneak peek at the upcoming fourth season, Netflix also shared the amazing news that the Regency romance drama is coming back for two more seasons. This was sort of a given, but it never hurts to get that official stamp of approval from the streamer. That means we have much more Bridgerton to look forward to, and it also...

Dearest Gentle Readers, it is no ordinary day in the ton. Mayfair’s esteemed Bridgerton family will return for two more seasons: Seasons 5 and 6. A rousing celebration is certainly in order.

But before we see any other love stories become the talk of the ton, be sure to mark your datebooks for the premiere of Bridgerton Season 4 in 2026.
The next season shall center on Benedict (Luke Thompson), the bohemian second son of the Bridgerton brood. Unwilling to settle down like his brothers, his perspective changes when he encounters a captivating Lady in Silver (Yerin Ha) at his mother’s masquerade ball.

Attention Gentle Readers! Bridgerton will continue to tell its tale for at least another two seasons. Netflix has announced that the series has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6 alongside the announcement, officially, that Bridgerton Season 4 will be coming in 2026. The hit Netflix series is based on the Julia Quinn book series of the same name. Season 4 will adapt the third book An Offer from a Gentleman, featuring Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) as the lead alongside Sophie Baek as Yerin Ha in a Cinderella-inspired season, kicking off with a masquerade. A new sneak peek was released showing Benedict navigating the masquerade until he spots Sophie and like the true romantic he is, the moment stills as he zeroes in on her. It’s broken by another man coming up behind her asking for a dance, making Benedict realize he has to act before his future slips through his fingers.

“Bridgerton” will continue its reign at Netflix with an additional two-season greenlight.
The Regency era romance series has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6 at Netflix, the streamer announced Wednesday during its upfront presentation in New York City. Netflix also announced that Season 4 will debut in 2026, but did not specify any specific release window beyond that.
“Bridgerton” Season 3 debuted in two parts in May and June 2024, respectively, while Season 2 premiered in March 2022 and Season 1 debuted in December 2020, so a spring or summer release for Season 4 looks likely. Filming for “Bridgerton” Season 4 kicked off in September 2024, just months after Season 3 dropped on Netflix, at Shepperton Studios in London.
Netflix similarly granted a two-season renewal for “Bridgerton” in 2021, bringing the series up through Season 4.
While the shocking conclusion of Season 3 led to fan speculation regarding which Bridgerton sibling could lead Season 4, Netflix announced the fourth installment will focus on Benedict (Luke Thompson), as...

Dearest gentle viewers, your patience has finally been rewarded: Netflix has renewed “Bridgerton” for Seasons 5 and 6. Additionally, the streamer has confirmed “Bridgerton” Season 4 will debut in 2026.
The fourth season marks the halfway point for Netflix’s “Bridgerton” TV series adaptation, which is set to adapt all eight books from Julia Quinn’s romance series about the eight siblings in the titular Bridgerton family. And with the new two-season order, Netflix has formally picked up at least six out of the planned eight seasons for the Shonda Rhimes-produced Regency-era romance.
The announcements were made out of Netflix’s upfront presentation to advertisers, where it revealed new footage from “Bridgerton” Season 4, which shows season leads Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha as Benedict Bridgerton and love interest Sophie Baek, respectively. In the clip from the new season, Benedict lays eyes on Sophie at a masquerade ball and it’s seemingly love at first masked sight.

Unless you've completely sworn off all of Netflix's original series, it's pretty hard to have completely avoided "Bridgerton." The lush period romance took the streamer by storm, becoming one of Netflix's most watched series in no time at all. Revolving around the romantic exploits of a prolific Regency-era family, "Bridgerton" spends each season focusing in on one of the family's adult children as they search for love in the midst of the drama-laden London society.
But even if you've seen "Bridgerton," you would be forgiven for having all of the different characters mixed up in your head. There are a lot of people to keep track of, even just within the immediate Bridgerton family, without considering all of the various side characters. (It certainly doesn't help matters that the actors playing the three eldest brothers are difficult to tell apart at first glance.) If you find yourself wondering, "Wait,...

After a stunning run for three seasons, Bridgerton is all set to once again return to the screens with a fourth season that is already as greatly anticipated as ever. While a lot of fans are looking forward to other storylines to materialize, including the show’s focus on Benedict’s love story, some are also hoping that the series does something about Lady Danbury’s backstory.
In the respective series’ prequel spin-off show Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a lot was hinted about the respective character’s past, and now, we are hoping the original Netflix series doesn’t whitewash her backstory just like that and instead plods more on it. Because if it does, then the show will inevitably end up proving that it cares more about corsets than characters.

Daisy Ridley, the lead actor in the new Star Wars trilogy, has a new movie coming out on February 21, 2025. The title is Cleaner, and per the actor's claims, she felt very alone during the production of the film. However, it wasn't because she willingly stayed away from the rest of the cast and crew. It was because the film's plot called for her character to be alone most of the time.
Directed by Martin Campbell, the director of James Bond films like GoldenEye and Casino Royale, as well as the films Edge of Darkness and Green Lantern, Cleaner follows Ridley's Joey Locke, an ex-soldier who has been dishonorably discharged and now cleans windows in skyscrapers for a living. Locke finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy when activists take over a gala in one of the buildings, and hostages are taken. Her brother is one of the hostages,...

Excursions to a galaxy far, far away aside, Daisy Ridley’s career of late has been refreshingly grounded with projects of all scales. From the modest but fiendishly entertaining domestic thriller “Magpie” to the soulful office dramedy “Sometimes I Think About Dying” and the inspirational sports movie “Young Woman and the Sea,” the wide-ranging filmography Ridley has been recently building on her own terms stretches across biting indies and classical family blockbusters alike.
With director and James Bond veteran Martin Campbell’s “Cleaner,” Ridley further expands her repertoire with an old-fashioned and pressure-cooker action flick, dangling from the glass façade of a skyscraper to give both Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and Bruce Willis’ John McClane a run for their money. In fairness, the tiny pleasures of the predictably paint-by-numbers “Cleaner” aren’t remotely close to anything a white-knuckled “Die Hard” movie or the magnificent “Mission: Impossible” franchise can offer.

Please, just gaze into that new first-look image from Bridgerton season 4 on Netflix and tell me you don't have a huge smile on your face. We're in all sorts of feels ever since the 2025 Bridgerton Season of Love event that happened on Valentine's Day. It was amazing and so many teases were revealed to get us fans excited for the next chapter in the Regency-era story. We don't have a release date yet, but there's plenty more to know!
Even though it's all about Benedict and Sophie in the fourth season - their fairytale-esque storyline is already making me so giddy! - we can't forget about the previous couples from the earlier seasons that also melted our hearts. And that definitely includes Penelope and Colin. At the event, showrunner Jess Brownell teased that the season 3 couple are new parents, as you can see above, and that they're "fully Polin now.

If you work or live in a high-rise building, you probably haven’t given much thought to the people who clean the windows from the outside. Or if you have, you might have wondered how they have the courage to perch on a small platform hundreds of feet above the ground. But you might want to give them another look. One of them might be the only thing preventing you from falling victim to a gang of terrorists.
At least, that’s the unlikely premise of the new action film directed by James Bond veteran Martin Campbell (GoldenEye, Casino Royale) and starring Daisy Ridley as Joey, a window cleaner who finds herself desperately battling a gang of eco-terrorists who have taken over an energy company building and taken some 300 hostages.

Martin Campbell’s Cleaner sets out to recapture the magic of the director’s two James Bond films, 1995’s GoldenEye and 2006’s Casino Royale, by engaging with ripped-from-the-headlines issues while also basking in the ostensibly reassuring warmth of a Cold War-era franchise blockbuster formula. Here the issues are climate change and radical activism, and the formula is a distinctly Die Hard-grade concoction.

Season 3 of Bridgerton gave us everything—unspoken longing, heartbreak, and a swoon-worthy love story as Colin Bridgerton finally opened his eyes (and his heart) to Penelope Featherington. Their journey from childhood friends to lovers wasn’t without its challenges—Penelope had to find her own voice, Colin had to get over his obliviousness, and let’s not forget the whole Lady Whistledown secret hanging over them. But in the end, love triumphed, and the season left us with a satisfying yet bittersweet farewell to their story. Now, with Penelope’s quill momentarily at rest, Bridgerton Season 4 is shifting focus to another Bridgerton sibling in need of a grand love story—Benedict. The charming, artistic, and slightly rebellious second son has always stood apart from the rigid expectations of high society. He’s never cared much for titles or duty, preferring to paint, indulge in scandalous gatherings, and live on his own terms.

Bridgerton premiered in 2020 on Netflix, and it has been a major phenomenon since then. The Regency-era series is based on Julia Quinn's book series of the same name and follows the eponymous wealthy family.
Every season, Bridgerton followed a different main couple, starting with Daphne and Simon in Season 1, Anthony and Kate in Season 2, and, most recently, Colin and Penelope in Season 3. The show is already renewed for Season 4, which will finally put the rightful Bridgerton sibling in the spotlight — Benedict, whose story was canonically explored in the third installment of the book series, instead of Colin's. To celebrate Valentine's Day, Netflix held a fan event celebrating the "Season of Love," and it introduced the first look at Season 4's main couple, Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek.

“Bridgerton” book fans, our moment has arrived. At a fan event for Netflix’s global romantic phenomenon on Valentine’s Day, the show confirmed that the eight-episode Season 4 will kick off with a masquerade ball in Episode 1. That event was teased in “Bridgerton’s” Season 3 finale back in June 2024, and book fans know it’s the inciting incident for Benedict’s (Luke Thompson) love story, with a Cinderella-esque mysterious meet-cute with Sophie (series newcomer Yerin Ha).
At the event in London, current showrunner Jess Brownell teased that the forthcoming season, based on the book “An Offer from a Gentleman” by Julia Quinn, is the “Bridgerton” season most “faithful” to the respective novel.
