Jeff Gendelman is a lead in the short movies, Have You Heard the News?, The People of the World vs. Simon Peterson, and Scarecrow. Jeff co-starred with Christopher Lambert in the feature film, Splitsville, had a supporting role opposite Robert Forster and Donnie Wahlberg in the feature film, Diamond Men, and was featured in Snitch starring Marlee Matlin. His TV work includes guest starring roles on NBC's Law & Order and Beverly Hills 90210. Jeff was also a series regular on the ABC television dramas One Life To Live and Loving (nominated for Outstanding Actor in a daytime TV series), and the CBS drama Guiding Light. He studied in film classes at AFI, NYU, USC, and the BBC.
Jeff has also been involved with the theater since a child. After graduating from the University of Minnesota he trained in the American Conservatory Theater Advanced Actor Program in San Francisco. He has acted and directed at theaters throughout the United States and Japan, including Old Globe Shakespeare, Cleveland Playhouse, Milwaukee Repertory, Mark Taper Forum, and Riverside Shakespeare Company in NYC.
Jeff wrote and produced the feature film The Surface, directed by Gil Cates, Jr., starring Sean Astin, Chris Mulkey, and Mimi Rogers.
He exec produced the short film The Big Everything starring Bradley Whitford and James Wolk.
Jeff is shepherding three screenplays: Headwind, inspired by a true coming of age / martial arts story; Mountain Pass, a survival thriller inspired by a true event, and Even Keel, a dramedy crime story.
Jeff directed the festival award-winning (audience favorite) short, In Passing. He produced the Los Angeles world premiere of the play The Letter Writer. He produced and directed two science documentaries, and a pilot for the syndicated TV series, Straight From The Edge. Jeff is also a graduate of Outward Bound Survival School, Jackson Hole Ice Mountaineering School, and the FBI Citizen's Academy. Additionally, he has been involved with martial arts for over 50 years and has achieved advanced ranks in 4 different styles. He is a certified 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
