Image
Vinegar Syndrome just kicked off the month with the reveal of their full August lineup, and one of the highlights of the new wave is Troma’s cult classic Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D.

Available as a Standard Edition or a Limited Edition Slipcase Edition, the 1990 Troma film gets a 4K Ultra HD upgrade from Vinegar Syndrome, and it’s now up for pre-order!

The company previews, “This special limited edition 3-disc 4K Uhd/2 x Blu-ray set comes with a spot gloss hard slipcase + slipcover combo (designed by Luke Insect and Johnny Ryan), includes a 40-page perfect bound book and is limited to 7,000 units. It is only available on our website and at select indie retailers. Absolutely no major retailers will be stocking them.

“From Lloyd Kaufman & Michael Herz, creators of The Toxic Avenger, comes a different kind of superhero. Mixing high-stakes action, spectacular car stunts, monstrous mutants, and Troma’s signature...

Brick Bronsky, Pro Wrestler Turned Actor in Troma Films, Dies at 57
Image
Brick Bronsky, the onetime pro wrestler who appeared in Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. and three other films for Troma Entertainment, has died. He was 57.

Bronsky died Aug. 23 of Covid-19 complications in a hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, his friend and former wresting teammate Jonathan Holliday told The Hollywood Reporter.

The colorful Bronsky made his movie debut as Jughead in the quirky 1990 superhero comedy Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., starring Rick Gianasi, then played student journalist Roger Smith in Class of Nuke ‘Em High 2: Subhumanoid Meltdown (1991).
