[Video] 'Vampire Diaries' Sneak Peek: Elena Spills a Secret at 'Weird' Friendsgiving
Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and Nina Dobrev in The Vampire Diaries (2009)
How do those who can't exactly go home celebrate Thanksgiving? Well, some of them throw their own celebration in the college dorms, while others, like a certain someone who wasn't invited, hit the road to try to find information about a lost friend. That's basically what's happening on The Vampire Diaries this week in "Fade Into You."

Caroline and Elena host Friendsgiving at their Whitmore College dorm, while Stefan, Damon and Alaric head to Portland to gather information about the Gemini Coven. However, dinner takes a drastic turn when Jo finds herself fighting for her life. Meanwhile, Tyler is determined to help Liv after she and Luke reveal disturbing information about their witch lineage and their coven's plans for them, and Kai makes a discovery that brings him one step closer to escaping.

10 Thoughts on the 'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Premiere
I saw the Season 6 premiere of "The Vampire Diaries" last week and you've perhaps already seen my post with a handful of teases courtesy of showrunner Caroline Dries, who did a Q&A with a few reporters afterwards. At the time, I held off on any spoilers beyond mentioning that just about everybody was handling the aftermath of last season's finale with varying degrees of sadness, self-hatred and mourning. Now maybe I can talk a bit more about the premiere, which I thought was more mired in the aftermath of the Season 5 finale than progressing the narrative in ways I wanted to see in upcoming episodes. I don't have time for a full review or recap, but after the break, I've got a handful of thoughts, all involving spoilers, obviously... *** So Bonnie & Damon are trapped in 1994? You may see the warm lighting and comfortable looking cabin and assume that Bonnie...

Community season 5 episode 13: Basic Sandwich
Review Caroline Preece 18 Apr 2014 - 10:10

Community's fifth season has come to an end. Here's Caroline's review of what could be the last ever episode...

This review contains spoilers.

5.13 Basic Sandwich

It’s a bit tricky talking about this season finale of Community, Basic Sandwich, without acknowledging the fact that this could be the last time we’re talking about Community at all. Unlike last year’s season finale, which felt like the final straw for a lot of fans and inspired a sense of “that’ll do” that should really never have been applied to a show so daringly, brilliantly original, this second part of last week’s Subway vs. Greendale debacle has the sense of sweet finality to it. But then, maybe it’ll be back, it depends on what fails!

Basic Sandwich embraced the 80s-ness that has run through the show since the beginning, throwing...

'The Vampire Diaries' promo: Shady siblings Luke and Liv make their move in 'Rescue Me'
If you thought Thursday's (March 20) episode of "The Vampire Diaries" was intense, start preparing yourself now for next week's episode, "Rescue Me." Because based on the promo and the spoiler-heavy synopsis for the March 27 episode, things are about to get crazy.

At the end of "While You Were Sleeping," Elena and Damon tried to break up, but of course they just ended back in bed together. Will they be able to break up for good in the cold light of day, or will they keep falling back in bed (we don't blame them one bit ... see above photo)? Plus, they picked the worst timing to complicate their relationship, since they have to play surrogate parents for Jeremy at his parent-teacher conference at school, and it turns out he's not doing so well in his classes. That's probably since he spends so much time at Whitmore College with Bonnie. Too bad...

Gaby Hoffmann: the child star who broke all the rules
Brought up in the wild excesses of New York's Chelsea Hotel, Gaby Hoffmann has never conformed. Now, after a decade-long disappearance, she's back as an indie film goddess – and star of Girls. In an interview first published in the New York Times, she talks to Taffy Brodesser-Akner

According to family legend, there was a snowstorm on the night in 1982 when Gabrielle Mary Antonia Hoffmann – Gaby – was taken home from the hospital to her mother's apartment at the Chelsea Hotel. Of course Hoffmann did not yet know she had been born into downtown New York artistic royalty. Her mother Viva (née Janet Sue Hoffmann) appeared in Andy Warhol's movies and lived at the Chelsea with Gaby's 11-year-old half-sister Alexandra, her daughter with ex-husband Michel Auder – the French video artist who later married the photographer Cindy Sherman. (Hoffmann's actual father was the actor Anthony Herrera.)

Her mother co-wrote a book, as yet unpublished,...

'The Vampire Diaries' casts Heather Hemmens and Chris Brochu: Who will they play?
"The Vampire Diaries" fans, prepare to meet two new and extremely important faces when The CW's supernatural drama returns from its hiatus.

Heather Hemmens and Chris Brochu have just landed two recurring roles on "Tvd," E! Online reports.

Hemmens, a "Hellcats" alum, is the luckiest lady in the land because she gets the honor of playing Enzo's (Michael Malarkey) long-lost flame from back in the day. She will portray Maggie, first appearing in episode 19. Remember when Enzo told Damon (Ian Somerhalder) the story of a girl he fell in love with in 1953? That's Maggie, a former lab assistant to Dr. Whitmore. Enzo and Maggie fell in love and when she found out that Enzo was being tortured and experimented on, she told Enzo she was sorry and left.

No word yet on whether or not we'll be seeing Maggie in flashback form or in present day, although if we do see her in present day,...

Damon Has a Plan in this New Clip from The Vampire Diaries Ep. 5.13 - Total Eclipse of the Heart
Before "The Vampire Diaries" takes off for a few weeks (no one wants to tangle with the Olympics, even vampires), we have to get through a "Total Eclipse of the Heart." Here's a sneak peek of the upcoming Ep. 5.13, in which Stefan disapproves of Damon. What else is new?

Bonnie is intrigued with a fellow student named Liv (guest star Penelope Mitchell), who appears to be dabbling in witchcraft, while Tyler (Michael Trevino) starts to worry about Matt’s (Zach Roerig) relationship with Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda).
