Documentary Mundo Alas Gets Its Day In The Sun
By Ali Naderzad - August 7, 2010

Transcending symbols and limitations “Mundo Alas” is not just inspired and inspirational—it’s a pretty damn cool road movie, too. A journey of initiation by a group of new young artists who present their works, accompanied by the voice, talent and experience of León Gieco (Argentina’s most important folk-rock singer and songwriter) on a tour through several Argentinean provinces. Exceptional artists, musicians, singers, dancers and painters, they all live with disabilities that might deter others—but not them. As the tour progresses, we get to know their stories and watch their artistic growth over time. Shows, rehearsals, roads and hotels are the settings of anecdotes and music that conceive new dreams: recording the Mundo Alas soundtrack and closing the tour with a big concert at the Luna Park in Buenos Aires. During this time, love stories and human relationships are born, which proves that integration is possible.
