The Rolling Stones went into 2020 thinking they’d once again be playing to sold-out football stadiums across North America on their ongoing No Filter tour. It’s still theoretically possible that they’ll find a way to squeeze in those dates before the end of the year, but it’s far more likely that they’ll have to wait until 2021 or even 2022 to play make-up shows.

Fans did get a brief chance to see the Stones play live over the weekend when they appeared at Global Citizen’s “One World: Together at Home” event.

The Rolling Stones will reissue their famed Rock and Roll Circus concert as a massive multi-media box set June 7th via Abkco.

The Stones hosted the Rock and Roll Circus in December 1968, performing alongside an all-star lineup that also featured the Who, Yoko Ono, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull and the impromptu supergroup the Dirty Mac, comprising John Lennon, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell and Eric Clapton. Those Who Love Me Can Catch the Train Wreck: Thompson’s Latest Flat, Overstuffed

Familial relationships and transportation, two favorite themes of writer/director Daniele Thompson, figure heavily in her latest feature, It Happened in Saint Tropez, a breezy situational comedy that suffers from a hokey forced charm, beginning with its misleading English title translation (the original title, Des gens qui s’embrassent should be something along the lines of People Who Embrace). A cousin in tone to something like Anne Fontaine’s 2009 bauble headed The Girl From Monaco, it unfortunately fails to match the effervescent enchantment of some of Thompson’s past titles, like her lovely 2006 film, Avenue Montaigne.
