ScreenRant's own Brandon Zachary attended the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con panel for The Simpsons and revealed the series has something special planned for episode 800. The Simpsons is already the longest-running animated American TV series, but episode 800 will mark a major milestone for the show.

The Sdcc panel for The Simpsons included the show's creative team of Matt Groening, Matt Faughnan, Mike Price, and David Silverman. The creative team gave the audience confirmation that, with the current schedule for the series, The Simpsons will air episode 800 in February of 2026.

Episode 800 will also not air alone. On the night it airs in February, two episodes of The Simpsons will actually be broadcast instead. Just what is being planned for the episode, however, is "top secret" for now.

Denzel Washington’s new movie is getting closer by the day, but ahead of its debut in theaters, one of the more recent films from the two-time Oscar winner has found sustained streaming success. Washington stars alongside Brendan Gleeson and Frances McDormand in The Tragedy of Macbeth, the 2021 period thriller following a Scottish lord who becomes convinced that he will be the next King of Scotland, and his ambitious wife who supports his every move. The Tragedy of Macbeth is currently streaming on Apple TV+, and the film is still charting in the top 10 in several countries, such as Mongolia and Nicaragua. It earned a “certified fresh” 93% from critics and 74% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, but it grossed less than $1 million at the box office during an extremely limited theatrical release.

During a 2022 interview with Collider, Washington described The Tragedy of Macbeth as the “most mature work” of his career.

Kelley is up from the No. 10 spot, which it held on July 5. The movie is ahead of Dark Winds, The Last Anniversary, and Ash, which hold the No. 8, 9, and 10 spots, respectively.

Lake Placid, billed as a dark comedy horror film, also stars Brendan Gleeson as Sheriff Hank Keogh, who, while waiting in a boat on Black Lake in Maine, his colleague and wildlife officer, goes scuba diving.

James Gunn has made some big movies, like Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad. But in a recent interview with French outlet Konbini, he didn’t talk about superheroes. Instead, he talked about a small bear in a blue coat.

During the interview, Gunn stopped at a display for Paddington in Peru and admitted he hadn’t seen it yet. But he didn’t hold back when talking about the previous film in the series. “Paddington 2 is a classic film,” he said. “It’s one of the greatest movies ever made. People think I’m being ironic when I say that, but I’m telling the truth.”

That’s a strong take, but he’s far from the only one who feels that way.

Paddington 2, which came out in 2017, is a live-action and animated comedy directed by Paul King. He also co-wrote it with Simon Farnaby.

James Gunn, the director known for big hits like Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad, recently sat down for an interview with the French media outlet Konbini. During the chat, he shared his thoughts on movies that have stuck with him, his all-time favorites, and some that don’t get the recognition they deserve.

28 Days Later sees the deadly Rage virus spread throughout the United Kingdom after a group of animal activists free an infected chimp from a research lab. 28 days later, bike courier Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakes from a coma to find London completely deserted, save for the very fast-moving and Rage-infected citizens.

When he crosses paths with chemist Selena (Naomie Harris), cab driver Frank (Brendan Gleeson), and Frank’s daughter Hannah (Megan Burns), the group embarks on a perilous journey to a military blockade that will supposedly provide safety for all of them.

Bryce Dallas Howard may be known for her roles in three Jurassic Worldmovies and the 2011 film The Help, but in 2004, she starred alongside a future Oscar winner in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Village. “28 Years Later” is finally here and a refresher on the first two films might be in order.

It has been 18 years since the last film in the franchise and 23 years since it all began in “28 Days Later.” The latest film proves that things are hardly better off despite all the time that has passed. The years have not been kind to the world, and survivors are still doing their best to fight against a plague of Rage Virus-fueled monsters.

Before you dive into the latest film, refresh yourself on the most important bits from “28 Days Later” and “28 Weeks Later” so you’re square on all the most important lore bits.

The Rage Virus Began in Monkeys

The virus that burned through the UK and then the world began in chimpanzees. The animals were experimented on by scientists while searching for a way to trigger enhanced aggression and anger in victims.

Acclaimed filmmaker Sir Ridley Scott has been behind some of the most iconic films of all time. He has helmed many box office hits, although his projects weren't always a hit with the critics.

2005's Kingdom of Heaven is one of them. His lesser-known historical epic premiered on May 6, 2005, and received mixed reviews, but made decent money at the box office. As the film recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, Kingdom of Heaven has also scored a brand-new streaming home and will head to Hulu on July 1, per WhenToStream.

Sony Pictures has shared some new character posters for Danny Boyle and Alex Garland's 28 Years Later, spotlighting the movie's protagonists Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Isla (Jodie Comer), their son Spike (Alfie Williams), and the mysterious Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes).

In addition to some new official teasers and posters, a leaked version of the 5-minute sneak peek that's been playing in theaters ahead of the re-release of 28 Days Later has found its way online.

The opening scene finds Aaron Taylor-Johnson's character Jamie and his young son Spike searching a seemingly abandoned house, where they find an infected man hanging by his feet with a bag over his head and mysterious lettering carved into his chest.

Jamie tells Spike to "kill it" while reminding him not to feel bad as the infection destroys the mind and soul, but the boy hesitates, giving the "zombie" time to struggle free from his bonds.
