Trailer For The Horror Comedy Vampyrz On A Boat - "Love. Bite. Die. Repeat."
Here’s a trailer for a silly-looking indie horror comedy called VampyrZ on a Boat. Now, I’m honestly not sure if this is supposed to be a comedy because the movie is described as a "razor-sharp horror" film, but it seems like a comedy to me!

The story for the movie centers around a couple named Sara and Max, “whose new whirlwind romance is interrupted by a vampire outbreak on a medical research ship. Max will stop at nothing to get back the girl of his dreams, even if it means several heads will roll.”

The film stars Carrie Keagan, Dallas Valdez, Curt Lambert, Diane Ayala Goldner, and Kendall Wells as the Master Vampire. Yeah, the movie looks pretty ridiculous, but it still might be a fun flick to watch. Check out the trailer.

The tagline on the poster is a riff on Edge of Tomorrow, “Love. Bite. Die.

First Trailer for 'Vampyrz on a Boat' Horror Comedy with Dallas Valdez
"I'm giving you a chance, Max, don't screw it up..." Firebreathing Films has debuted the first trailer for an indie horror comedy titled Vampyrz on a Boat, though it's actually properly written as VampyrZ on a Boat (that capital "Z" is important!). While this may not have been made as a comedy, it definitely plays like one. Described as a "razor-sharp horror" this is about, as the title says, a vampire outbreak on a medical research ship. The film stars Carrie Keagan & Dallas Valdez, along with Curt Lambert, Diane Ayala Goldner, and Kendall Wells as the Master Vampire. Looks extra ridiculous, but perhaps it's a fun watch. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Mark Allen Michaels' Vampyrz on a Boat, from Vimeo: Carrie Keagan & Dallas Valdez play Sara & Max, a couple whose new whirlwind romance is interrupted by a vampire outbreak on a medical research ship. Review: Fetish Factory is a Fun Exploration of Feminism, Sexuality & Zombies
The week I saw Fetish Factory, the new feature from writer/director Staci Layne Wilson, I also rewatched Anna Biller’s The Love Witch and Hillary Clinton lost her chance to be the first female president of the United States. I was very much in the mindset of seeing art through a specific prism of gender politics and sexism, which may have colored my reading of the movie. At the same time, I don’t know if that’s true. This is a movie with gender politics very much on its mind. You don’t make a movie about the male customers of a sex fetish club being turned into bloodthirsty zombies without wanting to say something about the relationship between men and women.

A group of burlesque dancers—including Carrie Keagan, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn (who also produced the film), Tristan Risk, and Jenimay Walker—report for a shift at Fetish Factory,...

Doug Bradley in Hellraiser (1987)
First Look at New Pinhead in Hellraiser: Judgment
Doug Bradley in Hellraiser (1987)
Next year will mark the 30th Anniversary of the original Hellraiser, director Clive Barker's scary classic that is still beloved by horror fans to this date. Nine sequels were spawned off of this original classic, but the franchise hasn't seen its best days, with the last installment, Hellraiser: Revelations, going straight to DVD in 2011, believed to be shot only so The Weinstein Company could keep the rights to the name. Next year, the series will scream back to life once again with Hellraiser: Judgment. Today we have a new photo from this thriller, featuring Pinhead (Paul T. Taylor) and the new villain known as The Auditor.

Bloody-Disgusting has this first look at The Auditor, although we don't know who is playing this character quite yet. The Auditor was described in a casting call as "the accountant from hell," who comes to Earth to study a persons sins, "before passing...

Doug Bradley in Hellraiser (1987)
New Pinhead Revealed in 'Hellraiser: Judgment'
Doug Bradley in Hellraiser (1987)
He's back! But he's not exactly the same Cenobite we remember from the original 1987 horror classic Hellraiser. Doug Bradley opted out of returning for Hellraiser: Judgment, the tenth movie in this long running franchise. Taking over the role of Pinhead is Paul T. Taylor. And as you can see in the poster below, he looks pretty great.

It was announced last month that special effects maestro Gary J. Tunnicliffe would be making his directorial debut with Hellraiser: Judgment. With shooting taking place just earlier this year, the man is already in post-production. And has provided Bloody Disgusting with this exclusive first look at the movie.

Heather Langenkamp, who plays the iconic Nancy in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, dropped the news that this sequel was happening. She is joined in the ensemble cast by another horror veteran, John Gulager, as well as Damon Carney, Randy Wayne,...

Shooting on the project, the tenth film in the series, is being directed by make-up expert Gary J. Tunnicliffe. In the new film two detectives are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with a third, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world.

The new film is not a reboot, rather a new sequel which also boasts a cast that includes Heather Langenkamp, Damon Carney, Randy Wayne, Alexandra Harris, John Gulager, Diane Ayala Goldner, Mike J. Regan, Andi Powers, Jeff Fenter, Helena Grace Donald and Grace Montie. Filming gets underway shortly.

Meet the New Pinhead in 'Hellraiser: Judgement'
Doug Bradley in Hellraiser (1987)
Earlier this month, we reported that the Hellraiser movie is shooting soon, entitled Hellraiser: Judgement. This is not the Hellraiser remake that is bringing original director Clive Barker back to the franchise, but the 10th chapter in the ongoing saga that already exists. The sequel is now confirmed to be titled Hellraiser: Judgement, with some calling it Hellraiser X: Judgement, which has make-up artist extraordinaire Gary J. Tunnicliffe confirmed to direct. Today we have a new report from Bloody-Disgusting, which confirms several new cast members, including the new Pinhead, played by Paul T. Taylor.

Paul T. Taylor is set to play the new Pinhead, with other new cast members including Heather Langenkamp as the "chain-smoking Landlady," Damon Carney as Detective Sean Carter, Randy Wayne as Detective David Carter and Alexandra Harris as Detective Christine Egerton. Before we get to even more new casting additions, the site also offered some plot details.

First things first … here's a quick overview of "The Key to Annabel Lee [A Woman in Triptych]":

Death, and things in threes, are major themes in "The Key to Annabel Lee [A Woman in Triptych]". Narrating and starring in the films (four shorts in all — best described as a cinematic form of installation art) is Nivek Ogre (Repo! The Genetic Opera), famous as the lead singer of the industrial rock band Skinny Puppy. Diane Ayala Goldner (Feast) appears as a wolf-like seducer in two installments of the experimental film, but "the star of the show, as in the poem, is Annabel Lee herself," says Staci. "She is the triptych of the tale,...

The Key to Annabel Lee [A Woman in Triptych] Website Now Open
We've been talking about Staci Layne Wilson's upcoming short "The Key to Annabel Lee [A Woman in Triptych]" for a while now, and this week marks both the end of principal photography and the opening of the film's official website - on Edgar Allan Poe's birthday no less!

"Interestingly enough," says Wilson, "wrap date was locked in on Poe's birthday [January 19th]. We had some rather remarkable coincidences every date we shot — we commenced on December 8, 2010, which marked the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's assassination (whose song 'Imagine' fits our theme as well) and finished the bulk of our filming on December 15, the day one of my favorite directors and a great inspiration, Jean Rollin, passed away." The director adds, "I also think it's interesting to note that 'Annabel Lee' is the last complete poem composed by Poe, and it's the very first thing I directed."

Death, and things in threes,...

One of Shock's horror colleagues, Staci Layne Wilson, has a ton of credits to her name. She's penned books. She's the hostess of a new web series ( This Week in Horror ). Plus, her journalistic cred reaches back before my time. It's about time she cut her teeth on the director's chair, right? You bet. Wilson recently completed a short film called The Key to Annabel Lee , based on the work by Edgar Allan Poe. An official site for this endeavor goes live tomorrow and we've got a sneak peek via three images below. Exclusive New Stills and a Quick Clip from The Key to Annabel Lee
Staci Layne Wilson's upcoming short film "The Key to Annabel Lee" has, in Staci's words, evolved into a form of "installation art", and to give us a better idea of what to expect, she's provided Dread Central with two new exclusive stills and a quick clip.

The film stars Cherilyn Wilson (Parasomnia), Corrie Shenigo (After You), Diane Ayala Goldner (Feast I, II, III), and Nivek Ogre (Repo! The Genetic Opera) as "The Narrator". It involves an evil seductive wolf character (played by Goldner) and three incarnations of the tragic character of Edgar Allan Poe's Annabel Lee, played by three different actresses (Wilson, Shenigo, and Staci herself). Shot in Southern California on the shores of southern Los Angeles beaches, "The Key to Annabel Lee" uses gorgeous sweeping shots of ocean vistas as a backdrop for much of the action.

You'll see one of those ocean vistas in the clip...

Stacy Layne Wilson's 'The Key to Annabel Lee' promises to be a dark and sensual fantasy
A new short film based on the poem "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe.

Principal photography has wrapped on The Key to Annabel Lee, the directorial debut of film journalist Staci Layne Wilson (who also wrote the script), who has been a key member of the genre journalist faction for years at outlets like Cinefantastique, Syfy.com, and Horror.com.

Like several other new major journalists-turned-filmmakers (Jovanka Vucovick, Stacie Ponder, and Andrew Kasch) Wilson has decided to pick up the reigns and make the kind of film she'd like to see; one with amazing colors, costumes, makeup, emotion, and fantastical tragedy with a touch of the sensual.

The film stars Cherilyn Wilson (Parasomnia), Corrie Shenigo (After You), Diane Ayala Goldner (Feast I, II, III), and Nivek Ogre (Repo! The Genetic Opera) as "The Narrator", sporting a rather awesomely idealized Poe-esque demeanor and costume.

We know the plot involves an...

Screamfest 08: Review of Feast II: Sloppy Seconds
Year: 2008

Director: John Gulager

Writers: Patrick Melton & Marcus Dunstan

IMDb: link

Trailer: link

Amazon: link

Review by: cyberhal

Rating: 7.6 out of 10

Topless biker chicks, the most disgusting monster autopsy ever, and insane, unsafe, full on puking, gross out, funny-rather-than-terrifying, blood drenched scenes. Oh baby. The politically correct and faint of stomach should stay away from this movie. Director John Gulager works his sick magic again, again with writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, both of whom worked on later Saw movies and the upcoming new Hellraiser. This time he's doing it without the Project Greenlight Squad, and there's a bit less production money flying around. In the Q &A afterwards, Chu Gulagar (barman in the movie, Dad of the director in reality) said: "this movie makes loving fun of what we love. It's a kind of satirical take on Clive Barker and Quentin Tarantino." It was interesting when I heard...

Now, when I say that, I say that out of extreme love/hate, mostly because the first film was near perfection and I had no idea how they would manage a second one. For those who don’t know, Feast was the winner of Ben Affleck/Matt Damon media lovechild, “Project Greenlight 3.” It’s genius, unique and [...]...

Behind Feast 2
The Fango fiends found a gory surprise in their inbox today in the form of a boatload of behind the scenes stills from Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds, one of which you can see on your right.

The sequel, filmed back-to-back with Feast 3: The Happy Ending, sees the return of screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton as well as director John Gulager. Some of the pics may be considered spoilers as to how characters meet their demise, but you shouldn’t worry too much; it’s not like you’d expect many will live through this one.

Feast 2 follows the monsters from the first film as they make their way to a small nearby town to continue their mating/feeding rituals. The survivors from the bar must band together with a new cast of characters to try and beat the monsters down. Jenny Wade, Clu Gulager, Diane Goldner (pictured) and...
