Neal Gold was one of Miami Beach's most promising future-stars during the mid 1970s. Tall, handsome, well-built, and blonde-haired, Gold was a poster-boy on how a movie-star should look. Not only blessed with good-looks, Gold was a talented dancer, singer, and actor. As a drama student at Miami Beach Senior High School, he excelled and starred in numerous stage productions for well-known acting coach Jay W. Jensen. Jensen, a Miami Beach institute, taught drama for over 35 years, counting among his students Andy Garcia, Brett Ratner, and Roy Firestone. Gold received rave reviews for his role in the production of Hurray U.S.A. which played before packed crowds at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This role lead to a part in the now cult film , The Warriors. Neal Gold seemed on the verge of a very promising acting career. However, due to various personal issues, and a series of misfortunes, Gold's career sadly halted. He died tragically way before his time. He will always be remembered for his gleaming smile, charming personality, and his god-given gift to entertain.
