Scott Foley isn’t afraid to admit his love for late 1980s family sitcom “Growing Pains.” “I watched everything about that show,” he told Variety’s “My Favorite Episode” podcast. “From the ‘Entertainment Tonight’ backstage clips where Kirk Cameron got a Honda Prelude — I mean, I remember what kind of car he got. I was a big fan of it. I had a crush on Tracey Gold. I still now will read the People magazine articles on these actors.”

Foley said “Growing Pains” was more than a sitcom to him — it was the dawn of his realization that he could act, on television, for a living. “It was one of the shows that I think I realized, ‘hey I can do that.’ I was at the age where I was starting to form ideas on what my future would be. I loved that time in television. We don’t really have that now.

The spring and summer of 1988 were consumed with a writers’ strike within the film and television industry, but one project that launched in the fall came out of it unscathed: “Dance ‘Til Dawn,” an original television movie about Hoover High’s senior prom first aired on NBC Oct. 23, 1988. The movie was a who’s who of 1980s television — from Kelsey Grammer and Alan Thicke, to Christina Applegate, Tempestt Bledsoe and Tracey Gold — and its multi-generational casting allowed it to be an early pioneer of content aimed at a co-viewing audience. It was also a love letter to Los Angeles, utilizing iconic locations such as the Cocoanut Grove at the Ambassador Hotel as its soundstage. Now, 30 years after its initial release, “Dance ‘Til Dawn” also finds new relevance within the era of #MeToo and Time’s Up.

One year after his untimely death, friends and family are paying tribute to the beloved late actor, who died on Dec. 13, 2016, at age 69, after suffering a ruptured aorta while playing hockey with his youngest son, Carter.

The 20-year-old actor-writer tweeted a sweet throwback photo of him and his dad on Wednesday, along with the heartbreaking caption, "It's hard to believe it's been a year. Some days it feels like it was only yesterday and other days it feels like its been years. Nothing can really describe the loss, but I feel you here everyday in my life."

Yesterday was a tragic day for horror fans around the world, as we reported the unfortunate news of Wes Craven passing at the age of 76 in his Los Angeles home. Wes Craven left an indelible mark on the horror movie genre almost immediately with his first feature film, 1972's The Last House on the Left, and his influence will be felt for years to come, in the filmmakers that follow and carry on his legacy. As we continue to mourn the loss of this legend, we're revisiting his best work with nine of his best films.

Wesley Earl Craven was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Caroline (Miller) and Paul Eugene Craven, raised by a strict baptist family, although his father died when he was just five years old. He earned his undergraduate degree in English and Psychology from Wheaton University in Illinois, and earned his Masters in Philosophy and Writing from Johns Hopkins University.

Growing Pains star Jeremy Miller recently opened up about his battle with alcoholism and the medical implant he says has helped keep him sober.

Miller starred as Ben Seaver, the youngest son in the Seaver family, on Growing Pains from 1985 to 1992, and took some time away from acting after the show ended. Instead, Miller reveals he began binge drinking after the show ended. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Miller says he would start every day with a trip to the liquor store and drink until he passed out.

At his lowest moments, Miller admitted that he considered suicide, saying, “There were probably a few nights it was awful close. I’m glad I did not own a gun, because I hated myself so thoroughly, I would have done something very stupid.”
