Agatha All Along Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs For Aubrey Plaza's Death And Joe Locke's Wiccan
Image
Marvel's Agatha All Along introduced two powerful new characters who are sure to play significant roles in the magical/supernatural corner of the MCU down the line. A mysterious "Teen" (Joe Locke) who was confirmed to be Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) son Billy Kaplan/Wiccan in the season finale (though it was one of the worst-kept secrets in the MCU), and the personification of Lady Death herself (Aubrey Plaza).

We've seen some early concept art for Wiccan and Death already, and we now have some more alternate designs from the recently-released Art of the Series book.

The costumes both characters ended up wearing in the show were arguably more comic-accurate than anything seen in this artwork, but there are some interesting looks here.

Reality TV Ate Itself, and Temu Traitors, I Mean The Snake Slithered Out
Image
So, what are we thinking? Will The Snake slither its way into your weekly viewing?

Fox has been committed to delivering reality TV. Given that they’ve scaled back on scripted shows, it makes sense.

We have already experienced some fascinating, albeit frustrating, developments with Extracted, but next on the agenda is The Snake.

(Jeff Niera/Fox)

Is it cringe? Totally.

For starters, I swear I listened to every word they were saying, but I still walked away clueless about the actual rules of this game. We have a gaudy snake necklace, a bunch of contestants comprised of personalities pulled right out of the reality television archetype playbook, and a sassy host.

Frankly, The Snake feels like Fox’s answer to The Traitors — a Temu version, if you will. All with a dash of classic MTV, VH1, or Netflix reality series that features people trying to hook up.

Meet the New Generals in the Streaming Wars: Our 2025 Episodic Directing Lab Fellows
Image
Breaking down a script, working with actors, shot listing, guiding the edit – all crucial tasks for a director, but in the TV world, that’s just the start. TV directors have the unique challenge of having to put a personal touch on a long running story, while collaborating not only with the executives, cast and crew, but also the showrunner.

Oh and did you know, TV is becoming more cinematic, (just look at the amazing shows we honored at the Spirit Awards this year), Yes it’s great for us at home, but for those hard working TV directors, it still requires creating tens of hours of content per season, and usually at a budget that would make a studio director cry.

Beating the odds is something that indie filmmakers are used to, and that’s why it just makes sense that the Film Independent Episodic Directing Intensive brings together some seriously talented Fellows,...

Agatha All Along Showrunner Jac Schaeffer On Rumored Wiccan Spin-Off: "He's An Important Character"
Image
Though there have been conflicting reports about how well the show actually performed on Disney+, Agatha All Along was said to be a pretty big success for Marvel (which is at least partially due to the fact that it's the least expensive Disney+ series yet), and it seems the studio is pleased enough with the viewership that plans are in place to continue these characters' journeys across several different projects.

Agatha - itself a spin-off of WandaVision - introduced a mysterious "Teen" (Joe Locke) who was confirmed to be Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) son Billy Kaplan/Wiccan in the season finale (though it was one of the worst-kept secrets in the MCU).

A recent rumor claimed that a Wiccan solo show was in the works, which Marvel will develop along with the Scarlet Witch movie and a Young Avengers project (we still don't know if that'll be a movie or...

Agatha All Aong Star Says Show Will Not Return For Second Season; Reveals Marvel Wanted More Wandavision
Image
Marvel Studios' Agatha All Along was originally listed as a miniseries, but the fact that Disney submitted the show in the comedy categories for a number of awards events - including the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and this year’s Emmy race - led to speculation that a second batch of episodes might be in development.

The Television Academy’s criteria for limited series state: “The program must tell a complete, non-recurring story and not have an ongoing storyline or main characters in subsequent seasons.”

Though a second season hadn't been made official, several different sources claimed that it was only a matter of time, as plans for the show's return were already in place.

Now, star Patti LuPonse (Lilia Calderu) has seemingly dashed hopes of another season of Agatha by revealing that the popular series will not be back for more episodes.

“There won’t be one,” LuPone told...

Agatha All Along Star Kathryn Hahn Says She Is Not "Personally Done With Playing This Witch"
Image
Marvel Studios' Agatha All Along was originally listed as a miniseries, but the fact that Disney submitted the show in the comedy categories for the upcoming awards season led to speculation that a second batch of episodes might be in development.

Rumors that a second season is in the planning stages soon followed, and while Marvel has yet to make it official, we will almost certainly see Miss Harkness in the MCU again in some capacity.

Star Kathryn Hahn - who lost out on a Best Actress Golden Globe during Sunday's ceremony - was asked about the awards submissions and what they could mean for a second season while speaking to TV Line on the red carpet.

“It does suggest that,” the actress conceded. “I am as in-the-dark as you are. There’s going to be a Vision show, so that could be of a trilogy. But who knows?”

“Am...

Agatha All Along Now Officially Listed As "Season 1" On Disney+
Image
Recent rumors have claimed that Agatha All Along will return for a second batch of episodes, and while Marvel Studios has yet to make it official, the WandaVision spin-off - which was originally tagged as a miniseries - is now listed as "season 1" on Disney+.

We already had a pretty good idea that Marvel had plans to renew the series when Disney submitted it in the comedy categories for the upcoming awards season (star Kathryn Hahn was recently nominated for a Golden Globe), since the Television Academy’s criteria for limited series state: “The program must tell a complete, non-recurring story and not have an ongoing storyline or main characters in subsequent seasons.”

The season finale concluded with Agatha Harkness (Hahn) sacrificing herself to save Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) by planting a kiss on her former lover Rio Vidal, aka Death (Aubrey Plaza).

As we know, dying in the Marvel...

10 Biggest MCU Deaths In 2024
Image
Warning! Spoilers for all MCU content released in 2024

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen some dramatic death scenes throughout 2024, with a few particularly shocking ends being met by various characters. Compared to previous years, 2024 has been quite light on Marvel releases, with only a single feature film, Deadpool & Wolverine, gracing theaters under the red banner thanks to a variety of delays. Other than that, spin-off series like Agatha All Along, Echo, and X-Men '97 have been the only source of Marvel deaths for the year.

Despite how few projects the MCU released in 2024, the year was still plenty bloody, with a higher-than-average fatality rate across what releases did premiere. While not too many long-running characters from previous phases met their demise in 2024, that's not to say that the deaths of newly-introduced players weren't significant in the grand scheme of the series. Be they genuinely tragic or played for laughs, the...

Agatha All Along Star Kathryn Hahn On Possible MCU Return: "This Was A Beautiful Way To Say Goodbye"
Image
The season finale of Agatha All Along concluded with Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) sacrificing herself to save Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) by planting a kiss on her former lover Rio Vidal, aka Death (Aubrey Plaza).

Of course, dying in the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn't necessarily mean the end of the road - especially for a powerful witch.

In the final moments of the episode, Harkness returns in spirit form and accompanies Wiccan on his quest to locate his brother Tommy. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer has already hinted at future plans for these characters, but if Hahn didn't get the chance to reprise her role, it sounds like she'd be very happy with her ghostly send-off.

“Even though obviously now Billy/Wiccan is not her son, there is some sort of hope for her that she’s able to maybe do for him what she couldn’t do for Nicky. I think...

Agatha All Along Concept Art Reveals Alternate Design For Aubrey Plaza's "Rio Vidal"
Image
Artist Daniel Selon has taken to Instagram to share some of his concept art for Aubrey Plaza's Rio Vidal in the outfit she wore during her fight with Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) towards the end of the series premiere of Marvel Studios' Agatha All Along.

This design isn't a million miles away from the costume that made it to the screen, but there are a few subtle diffrences, with the hood pulled back to show more of Rio's hair and the sash slightly higher on her chest. The final look also reveals more of the character's ribs.

"This look needed to keep Rio’s identity mysterious and also show her as a formidable force (and also be sexy powerful)," writes Selon. "We needed to believe that what she’s wearing could exist in the real contemporary world but also hint at an otherworldly power. I turned to my...

Agatha All Along Season 1 Poll Results Are In - And You Might Be Surprised By The Outcome
Image
Agatha All Along concluded with a two-episode finale last week, and we recently asked you to vote so we could determine what Cbm's readers made of the WandaVision spin-off.

The results are now in, and you might be surprised by the outcome!

2239 of you voted, and a whopping 42% (947) went with the most positive option, "Excellent." 27% (615) of you felt it was "Very Good," 15% (329) went with "Good," and only 9% (191) clicked on the most negative choice, "Awful."

It's fair to say that Agatha All Along wasn't exactly the most anticipated Disney+ Marvel series, but the show quickly established itself as a must-watch for many fans. A second season has not been announced, but the fact that Disney has submitted the show in the comedy categories for the upcoming awards season has led to speculation that Marvel might be planning to continue the story.

Even if they don't, we know that Agatha and...

Agatha All Along Star Joe Locke Weighs In On Season Finale's Big Wiccan Twist - Spoilers
Image
Though the recent two-episode finale of Agatha All Along was seen as a fairly satisfying conclusion by a lot of viewers, some were left a little disappointed by the lack of any major reveals or cameos, and episode 9 included a plot twist that definitely didn't work for everyone.

As we reported prior to the finale, it was revealed that the Witches' Road was never actually real... until it was! It turns out that the Ballad of the Witches' Road was something Agatha and her son Nicholas Scratch made up to pass the time, before Harkness began to use the song to lure unsuspecting witches to her so she could steal their power.

This is exactly what Agatha was planning to do with the makeshift coven she assembled in the series premiere, but Billy Maximoff used his vast untapped abilities to shape a brand-new reality, essentially creating the Road and every...

Agatha All Along: Rumored Details On Unused Post-Credits Scenes Revealed - Spoilers
Image
Unlike the majority of Marvel Studios movies and shows, Agatha All Along did not feature a post-credits scene after the recent two-episode finale.

Showrunner Jac Schaeffer has confirmed that she did write "a number of post-credit scenes," which she has "done on every Marvel project [she's] ever worked on," but "ultimately, it was a Marvel decision not to have a tag on this show."

Now, scooper Mttsh has shared some details on two of the scrapped stingers, and, honestly, they don't sound particularly exciting.

The first would reportedly have caught up with Jennifer Kale as she searches for the doctor who she initially believed to be responsible for taking her powers, while the second saw Death follow Wiccan and Ghost Agatha into the portal as they embark on their quest to find Tommy Maximoff.

One of them had Jennifer Kale looking for the doctor who is still alive somehow https://t.

Agatha All Along Showrunner On Why [Spoiler] Cameo Was Never A "Real Conversation" - Are More Seasons Planned?
Image
The premiere of Agatha All Along began with "Detective Agnes" discovering Wanda Maximoff's dead body, and even though we never saw her face, a lot of fans expected Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch to show up in the recent finale.

The former Avenger never appeared, and we only got a vague update on her current MCU status (she's dead... unless she isn't?), and it sounds like enlisting Olsen for a cameo was never a real possibility.

While speaking to THR, showrunner Jac Schaeffer explained why she felt that bringing Wanda back for the finale would have ended up being detrimental to Agatha's story.

"It wasn’t really a for-real conversation, and to speak plainly, it’s a larger conversation of casting, logistics, availability, and budget. Also, to me, on a creative level, it didn’t feel fair to the character of Agatha. This is her story, and the idea...

Agatha All Along Showrunner Jac Schaeffer Wanted A Surprising She-hulk Character To Be Part Of The Coven
Image
Agatha All Along wrapped up its first (and likely only) season this week, and showrunner Jac Schaeffer has been sharing some interesting details about certain things that didn't make the cut.

During an in-depth chat with The Ringer-Verse, Schaeffer revealed that she originally wanted to bring back a surprising character from She-Hulk: Attorney at Law to be a part of Agatha's makeshift coven.

“[We wanted] to get Madisynn on the Witches’ Road, but it just didn’t work. It was shoehorning."

As divisive as She-Hulk proved to be, most would likely agree that the episode featuring the debut of Madisynn King was a lot of fun.

Actress Patty Guggenheim's party girl became swept up in Jennifer Walters' affairs following her encounter with former Kamar-Taj student turned magician Donny Blaze. After being called as a witness, she strikes up a friendship with Wong (Benedict Wong), before returning in the episode's hilarious...

Agatha All Along Poll & Spoiler Discussion: What Did You Make Of Marvel's Wandavision Spin-Off?
Image
It's probably fair to say that Agatha All Along wasn't one of the more highly-anticipated MCU shows to be announced for the Disney+ streaming service.

The prospect of a WandaVision spin-off focusing on scene-stealing witch Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) may have seemed like a more appealing idea a few years ago, but even then, a lot of fans wondered what the point of a series revolving around this character was when there are better-known and more popular Marvel Comics heroes and villains that have yet to be given the spotlight.

Even so, the first two episodes proved to be surprisingly popular, and based on critical (the show's Rotten Tomatoes score has now gone from 67% to 83%) and audience responses, many would seem to agree that the series only increased in quality as it went on.

This week's two-episode finale did seem to be a little more divisive, however, with a somewhat...

Agatha All Along Season Finale Clip Sees Agatha Harkness Face Her Death
Image
"Rio Vidal" (Aubrey Plaza) warned that all roads lead to her in last week's episode of Agatha All Along, and tonight's season finale will see Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) face Death (literally) for what might well be the last time.

Harkness built a reputation for being an especially evil and ruthless witch over the years, but it seems at least some of her wicked deeds have either been exaggerated or outright lies.

In this new clip, Lady Death asks her former lover why she allows "them to believe those things about you? About Nicky?" We had been led to believe that Agatha sacrificed her own son, Nicholas Scratch, to Mephisto in order to acquire the Darkhold, but clearly there's a lot more to the story - though Harkness' response suggests that what really happened might be even worse.

Check out the clip and a new teaser at the links below,...

Agatha All Along Tarot-Style Posters Released As More Season Finale Details Leak - Spoilers
Image
Fittingly given the spooky season that's in it, the double-episode season finale of Agatha All Along debuts on Disney+ just in time for Halloween, and Marvel Studios has now released a series of new Tarot-style character posters.

These cards featured significantly in last week's episode, "Death's Hand in Mine," which concluded with the major reveal - at least for anyone that hasn't been keeping up with the plot leaks - that Aubrey Plaza's Rio Vidal was actually Lady Death.

Speaking of spoilers, Mttsh has also shared some details on the upcoming finale.

Episode 8 will reportedly feature "the final fight against Rio," while Episode 9 will be a "flashback episode about Agatha and how the Witches' Road was created. They also changed how Agatha's son died."

Agatha All Along Spoilers: A Big Season Finale Twist May Have Leaked
Image
The first (and likely only) season of Agatha All Along concludes this week with a double-episode, and we have details on what sounds like it's going to be a pretty major twist.

Possible spoilers follow.

Though we haven't been made aware of everything that's set to occur in the episodes, we have heard that The Witches' Road doesn't actually exist... or at least, it didn't until Billy Maximoff made it a reality!

Apparently, it will come to light that the Road was simply a story Agatha Harkness made up many, many years ago to lure other witches to her with the intention of stealing their powers. This was what she was attempting to do with the members of her makeshift coven until Maximoff somehow used his own abilities to "create" a new reality around them.

Agatha was fully aware of this, of course, but played along.

Again, we're not sure...

Rumor: Marvel Studios Interested In Signing Billie Eilish For A Major Role

We're sure Billie Eilish needs no introduction. Even if you wouldn't count yourself among her legions of fans, she has undoubtedly become one of the biggest recording artists in the world over the past few years.

The Grammy and Academy Award-winner (she won twice for "No Time To Die" in 2022 and Barbie's "What Was I Made For" earlier this year) made her acting debut as sinister cult leader Eva in an episode of Prime Video's Swarm, garnering a lot of praise for her unsettling performance.

“I was on some management call, and I remember being told, ‘There’s this show, but it’s during a period of time where you’re not available. It’s a pass,”’ Eilish told Variety about seizing her first acting opportunity. “I was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, what the f*ck are you talking about? This is my dream!”’

Agatha All Along Clip And Stills See The Show's Leads Transformed Into Famous Fictional Witches

We're just hours away from a new instalment of Agatha All Along and Marvel Studios has released the first clip and stills from the penultimate episode ahead of next Tuesday's two-part finale.

In this sneak peek, Lilia Calderu prepares to divine Billy Maximoff's path through cards, explaining how they work and exactly what the layout of the table means. This is his trial and each of the show's leads is decked out to look like famous witches.

Rumor: Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Will Face An Old "Friend" In The Scarlet Witch Movie - Spoilers
Image
Rumors of a Scarlet Witch solo feature have been doing the rounds for a few years at this stage, and while we're still waiting on an official announcement, all signs point to Marvel Studios developing a movie that will give Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff the spotlight.

Though the trades have yet to weigh-in, the project is said to be aiming for a 2026 release, with WandaVision and Agatha All Along writers Jac Schaeffer and Megan McDonnell reportedly working on the script.

Now, scooper Mttsh is claiming that Wanda will face an old adversary in the form of Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn).

We're now more than halfway through Disney+'s Agatha All Along, and Harkness is currently "allied" with Wanda's son, Billy Maximoff. How things play out in this series should give us a better idea of what to expect from Agatha and the Scarlet Witch's reunion, but we have a...

Agatha All Along: It Seems We May Not Have Seen The Last Of [Spoiler] In The MCU
Image
This week's episode of Agatha All Along featured the return of a character we really didn't expect to see again after the events of WandaVision, and it sounds like the MCU may not be quite finished with this perennially put-upon fella just yet.

Spoilers follow.

"Familiar By Thy Side" saw Teen - who is now confirmed to be the son of the Scarlet Witch, Billy Maximoff - meet with a mysterious Westview resident who turned out to be none other than Ralph Bohner (Evan Peters).

Ralph was introduced in WandaVision as an unwitting ally of Agatha Harkness, posing as Pietro Maximoff (a nod to Peters' role as Quicksilver in the X-Men movies) while under the witch's spell in order to get close to Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and try to find more information about the Hex.

According to scooper Mttsh, Mr. Bohner will return - but not in Agatha All Along.

Agatha All Along Star Joe Locke On Mephisto Mention And Potentially Joining The Young Avengers
Image
Though nothing has been officially announced, The Marvels pretty blatantly laid the groundwork for some sort of Young Avengers project. Previous rumors pointed to a Disney+ series, but a more recent report claimed that the Jr. roster of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will actually assemble on the big screen.

Right at the end of the recent Captain Marvel sequel, after helping Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau defeat Dar-Benn and prevent a catastrophic Multiversal event, Kamala Khan uses Nick Fury's S.W.O.R.D. tech iPad to track down Hawkeye's Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and tells her she's putting a team together.

Kamala mentions Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's Cassie Lang, aka Stature (Kathryn Newton), but who else could we see on the team?

Even before Joe Locke's Agatha All Along character was confirmed to be Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan, there was speculation that the sons of...

Agatha All Along: Billy Maximoff Warns Agatha That He's "Not That Nice" In New Episode 6 Clip
Image
Well, at least we can stop referring to Joe Locke's character as "Teen" now!

The end of last week's episode of Agatha All Along confirmed that Harkness' "pet" is indeed the son of The Scarlet Witch, Billy Maximoff. The revelation came when Agatha inadvertently(?) killed Alice while syphoning her powers, leading Billy to confront the woman he had looked up to once they returned to the road.

Wiccan's abilities then began to manifest, and he ended up flinging Agatha - along with Jen and Lilia - into a nearby swamp.

In this clip, Billy seemingly agrees to continue down the Witches' Road with Agatha (we assume the others also survived), but makes it very clear that he doesn't trust her - at all. Harkness responds by suggesting that they find their next trial, adding: "Last one there is a nice person."

As she walks on ahead, Maximoff warns the...

Agatha All Along: Mysterious Figure Glimpsed In Midseason Trailer Rumored To Be [Spoiler]
Image
With four episodes left, Marvel Studios recently released a midseason trailer for Agatha All Along, and despite including quite a bit of footage from previous episodes, it did give us a teasing glimpse of what's to come.

Spoilers follow.

The trailer officially confirmed that Teen (Joe Locke) is Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan, and also dropped another big hint about the identity of Aubrey Plaza's Rio Vidal ("all roads lead to me"). Then, right at the end, we got a very quick shot of a mysterious figure in a hat and overcoat.

No, it's not Mephisto. According to scooper Mttsh, this is actually Evan Peters as the returning Ralph Bohner.

In WandaVision, Ralph was introduced as a Westview resident who was under the spell of Agatha Harkness. Bohner posed as Pietro Maximoff (a nod to Peters' role as Quicksilver in the X-Men movies) to get close to Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen...

Agatha All Along Midseason Trailer And Poster Reveal Billy's Origin Story And Hypes Up Remaining Episodes
Image
Comic book fans have known from the start that Joe Locke's Teen was likely Billy Maximoff/Wiccan, and his true identity was finally revealed in last week's fifth episode of Agatha All Along, "Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power."

Revealing that he secretly has powers, Billy seemingly killed Agatha Harkness, Lilia Calderu, and Jennifer Hale after Alice Wu-Gulliver's death at the hands of the title character.

However, in this newly released midseason trailer, we see that Agatha manages to survive after rising from the ground to ask, "What does Billy Maximoff want at the end of the Road?"

If we had to hazard a guess, it's probably his mother, Wanda! The Scarlet Witch seemingly died at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Billy is bound to have some questions for her...including the location of his father, Vision, and brother, Tommy, we'd bet.

Agatha All Along May Have Given Us A Glimpse Of Rio Vidal's True Form In An Earlier Episode - Spoilers
Image
If you haven't been keeping up with the rumors and theories surrounding Agatha All Along and still don't know the real identity of Aubrey Plaza's "Green Witch" Rio Vidal, major spoilers follow.

We've known that there was more to seemingly homicidal sorceress Rio Vidal than meets the eye for quite a while, and there was speculation that she might be everyone from Enchantress, to Morgan Le Fay, to an incarnation of Mephisto himself.

Marvel has been dropping hints here and there and actually revealed the character's identity in a promo for episode 5 shortly after the series premiered (the Ouija board spells out her name), and this was later confirmed by some Funko Pop packaging: Plaza is actually playing Lady Death.

Now, an image from episode 3 that appears to have flown under the radar has been shared on Reddit, and it might just reveal our first look at "Rio" in...

Agatha All Along Star Ali Ahn Shares Spoilery Behind-The-Scenes Photos From Episode 5
Image
This week's fifth episode of Agatha All Along was eventful for a couple of reasons. Not only was the true identity of Joe Locke's Teen revealed in a tense final scene, but we also lost another member of the coven to the perils of the Witches' Road.

Spoilers follow.

During Agatha's (Kathryn Hahn) trial, Harkness is possessed by the spirit of her own mother, who she killed centuries before. In an attempt to save Agatha, Alice Wu-Gulliver (Ali Ahn) uses her power to force the invading ghost out of her body, but Harkness inadvertently drains her companion's powers - along with her life.

Now, Ahn has taken to social media to share some behind-the-scenes photos of herself in prosthetics as "Dead Alice."

Will we see Wu-Gulliver again? Nothing can be ruled out when it comes to the supernatural side of the MCU, but something tells us there'll be no resurrections this time.

Agatha All Along Star Joe Locke Responds To Episode 5's Big Teen Reveal - Spoilers
Image
"You're so much like your mother."

This week's fifth episode of Agatha All Along finally revealed (though the cat was already out of the bag for many fans) the true identity of Joe Locke's Teen in a tense final scene that saw Agatha's "pet" turn on Kathryn Hahn's ruthless witch... and anyone else that happened to be in the vicinity!

Spoilers follow.

Though it wasn't explicitly stated (we're sure we'll learn more next week), "Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power" pretty much confirmed that Teen is actually Billy Kaplan, aka Billy Maximoff, aka Wiccan: the son of the Scarlet Witch.

Enraged by Agatha's murder of Alice, Billy's powers begin to manifest, and after flinging Harkness - along with Lilia and Jen - into a nearby swamp, we see a very familiar-looking blue crown materialize on his head.

Locke has now taken to Instagram to respond to the big reveal,...

Agatha All Along: The Coven Has A Zombie Problem In Creepy Clip From Tonight's New Episode
Image
Episode 5 of Agatha All Along is set to premiere on Disney+ in just a few hours, and if you want a brief tease of what to expect, Marvel Studios has released a clip featuring the coven in some supernatural trouble... for a change!

After our trip back to the '70s last week, it looks like the gang will be donning some '80s-inspired gear for their next trial. In this sneak peek, the other characters desperately search for a missing Agatha, until Teen shines his torch on the ceiling and spots what appears to be some kind of zombie?

Can we expect another rendition of "The Ballad of the Witches' Road" tonight?

“Yes, there are more versions,” songwriter Kristen Anderson-Lopez told The Wrap. “The wonderful thing is, there’s a secret in each version that you hear. There are secrets revealed.”

“I think it’s really important to pay attention to the differences,...

Agatha All Along Showrunner On Mephisto Mention And Episode 4's Teen Reveal - Spoilers
Image
As we approach the halfway point of Marvel Studios' Agatha All Along, the show is still keeping its biggest secrets under wraps - but we have been given a few hints about the real identities of mysterious characters Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) and "Teen" (Joe Locke), and episode 3 even name-dropped a certain demonic sorcerer that was the basis for so much speculation in WandaVision.

Spoilers follow.

If you've been keeping up with our spoiler posts, you'll already know that Rio is actually Lady Death, and the Teen is Wanda Maximoff's son Billy, aka Wiccan. But showrunner Jac Schaeffer is not ready to confirm anything just yet.

At the end of the latest episode, Rio and Agatha appear to be about to rekindle their romantic relationship, when the former drops the bombshell that Teen is not her former lover's deceased son, Nicholas Scratch.

“I just think it’s about the dynamic between Agatha and Rio,...

‘Agatha All Along’ Boss Jac Schaeffer Talks Episode Four’s Reveal and Mephisto: “That Is Larger Than Me and This Show”
Image
[This story contains spoilers through Agatha All Along’s fourth episode, “If I Can’t Reach You / Let My Song Teach You”]

After creating Marvel Studios’ most successful series in WandaVision, Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer rewarded herself with the director’s chair. In addition to being Disney+’s most watched new series of 2021, Schaeffer’s show garnered 23 Emmy nominations, three wins and, for good measure, a chart-topping single called “Agatha All Along.” So, when the time came to do a spinoff with Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in the title role, Schaeffer knew she wanted to reignite her directorial ambitions, which were last on display in 2009’s Timer. (The sci-fi rom-com was led by WandaVision and Agatha All Along actor Emma Caulfield.)

“When you’re lucky enough to have a project be a hit [WandaVision] and you then have some capital, the question becomes: how are you going to spend your capital? And one of the answers to that question was parlaying it into a return to directing,” Schaeffer tells The Hollywood Reporter...

Agatha All Along May Have Already Given Away the Show's Biggest Twist
Image
Quick Links Agatha All Along's Teen Could Be Agatha's Son Agatha All Along Could Reinterpret Marvel's Nicholas Scratch

The following contains spoilers for Agatha All Along Episode 4, "If I Can't Reach You, Let My Song Teach You," now streaming on Disney+.

One of the biggest mysteries in Agatha All Along is the true identity of Teen, who has become the subject of fan theories. This character is very much a wildcard due to his hidden past.

Teen was found kidnapped at Agatha's house in Westview, leaving fans wondering how he got there. Even Agatha can't decipher the truth, or so it seems. He also has a sigil spell on him that prevents his true identity from emerging when he talks about it. Interestingly, the show may well have revealed the twist regarding this young man after four episodes.

Agatha All Along Confirmed As Marvel's Least Expensive Show: "It Gives Us A Little More Freedom"
Image
We recently learned that the two-episode season premiere of Agatha All Along conjured an impressive 9.3 million views on Disney+ after one week on the streaming service. While nothing special by any stretch, this was considered a pretty strong start for the show - especially since it doesn't focus on any A-list Marvel characters.

A follow-up report from THR claimed that the WandaVision spin-off is actually the studio's least expensive live-action series to date - by some margin - and this has now been confirmed by Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming, television and animation for Marvel Studios.

“I can tell you it’s our least expensive show, and I think that was by design,” Winderbaum tells Variety. “We are looking to make these shows for a responsible cost. Frankly, it gives us a little bit more freedom creatively when we can bring them in at a reasonable budget. Like [“Agatha All Along”], for example,...

Agatha All Along Spin-Off Focusing On The Search For Tommy Maximoff Rumored To Be In Development
Image
Agatha All Along has been a decent success for Marvel so far (which is at least partially due to the fact that it's the least expensive Disney+ series yet), and it seems the studio is pleased enough with the show's viewership that plans are in place for a spin-off.

Agatha - itself a spin-off of WandaVision - introduced a mysterious "Teen" (Joe Locke) who is believed to be Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) son Billy Kaplan/Wiccan, and according to Daniel Richtman, this new series will focus on the search for the Scarlet Witch's other son, Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed.

If accurate, this would be a somewhat surprising development. There is already a Vision series in the works, and a recent rumor claimed that Euphoria breakout Javon Walton is in talks to play a second "Teen," who will presumably turn out to be Tommy. Do we really need another series focusing on these characters?...

Agatha All Along Namedrops A Classic Superhero Team But What Does It Mean For The Wider MCU? - Spoilers
Image
The latest episode of Agatha All Along, "If I Can't Reach You/Let My Song Teach You," provided some clarification about Teen's identity and a potentially major Easter Egg for comic book fans.

As the coven sits around the campfire discussing their battle scars, Agatha Harkness shows off an injury on her elbow which see says came courtesy of a knitting needle following a run-in with the Daughters of Liberty.

Before we go any further, it's worth noting that the real-life Daughters of Liberty was the formal female association formed in 1765 to protest the Stamp Act, and later the Townshend Acts, and was a general term for women who identified themselves as fighting for liberty during the American Revolution.

And yes, they were known for knitting.

However, there's also a superhero team with that name and surely nothing in the MCU is said by accident? The other witches admit they've...

Agatha All Along: The Coven Summons The Green Witch In New Clip From Episode 4 - Spoilers
Image
Disney+ has released a new clip from tonight's fourth episode of Agatha All Along, and it finds Harkness' makeshift coven casting a spell to summon a new Green Witch following the death of poor Sharon Hart at the end of last week's episode.

Spoilers follow.

Though we don't actually see her appear, if you've watched any of the trailers and kept up with previous promos, you'll almost certainly be aware that Aubrey Plaza's "Rio Vidal" is The Green Witch that shows up to complete the coven.

Miss Vidal actually made her debut in the series premiere in a different guise, but will refrain from attempting to kill Agatha after striking a deal with the WandaVision villain to wait until she's regained her powers before restarting their battle.

Check out the clip at the link below, along with a new TV spot, and let us know what you think.

Agatha All Along Concept Art Drops Some Major Spoilers About The Show's Lead Characters
Image
Agatha All Along Costume Designer Daniel Selon recently shared (and later deleted) some new concept art from the series, and it contains some major spoilers for the Disney+ series.

For starters, we see that Agatha Harkness, Alice Wu-Gulliver, and Teen will all gain powers after heading down the Witches' Road. The blue glow emanating from the latter's hands all but confirms that he's Wiccan as the young Billy had the same abilities in WandaVision (Wiccan also uses blue magic in the comics).

We also get a closer look at Rio Vidal's costume and it drops some big hints about her true identity. The hood is a dead giveaway as is the black colour scheme.

We're talking a little speculatively in this post in case some of you are still avoiding major spoilers; however, the identities of both Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza's characters were recently confirmed by a merchandise leak.
