Why Reacher Doesn't Settle Down With A Love Interest, According To Alan Ritchson
Image
"Reacher" is a rather simple (yet effective) TV show — a former military police major with hands the size of dinner plates who wanders around the U.S. beating up people who abuse their power. In three seasons, protagonist Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) never changes, not in terms of personality, growth, or even the size of his wardrobe. He is a hobo with Thanksgiving turkey-sized fists, and a knack for collecting memorable side characters everywhere he goes that help him shoot down corruption rings.

Adapting Lee Child's book series of the same name, "Reacher" is TV's best action show that is more than just a dad TV show or a power fantasy. I mean, it is those things, too, but it is also a tightly constructed thriller with great action, some atypical but effective comedy (what if large man with tiny phone?), and even some very welcome romance.

That last part is interesting because,...

'Reacher' Got a Little Surprise Visit From Joe Biden & Hunter Biden on the Set of Season 4
Image
When filming productions, it's common for the cast and crew to get surprise visits. Sometimes it's friends or family members just stopping by to see the amazing work they've been doing. Other times, eager fans show up to get a glimpse of their favorite characters in action. Most of the time, it's other actors or celebrities working close by or in the area. Well, Amazon Prime Video's Reacher cast got a surprise visit by none other than former president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, recently, and it was a moment no one expected. Reacher is currently filming Season 4 and was in the same area as the Bidens in Philadelphia.

Alan Ritchson, who stars as the titular action hero Jack Reacher on the show, posted a reel of his interaction with Joe and Hunter Biden, which includes photos and clips of the moment, with a caption that really describes how random life can be.

Resurrection Road Review: Wasted Potential and Technical Gaffes
Image
The American Civil War provides a landscape of ready-made horror, a canvas of human cruelty that needs no supernatural embellishment. Resurrection Road begins on this familiar, blood-soaked ground. It presents Barabbas, a man who escaped the shackles of slavery only to find himself in the chains of the Union army, imprisoned and facing a court-martial.

His racist commanders present him with a choice that is no choice at all: lead a small unit of Black soldiers on a suicide mission into the Arkansas mountains or face the hangman’s rope. The objective is to silence the guns of Fort Defiance, a Confederate stronghold from which no Union soldier has ever returned. His reward for success is the oft-promised, seldom-delivered dream of 40 acres and a mule.

The film establishes a grim bargain, where freedom is a commodity to be earned through impossible odds, hinting that the cannons and rifles of the...

Reacher Creator Lee Child Was Surprised By A Key Character's Casting In The Prime Video Series
Image
Casting is important on any TV or film project, but it was particularly significant on "Reacher." The immensely popular Prime Video series has broken records since it debuted in 2022, but when it first started, it was somewhat of a question mark. The series is, of course, based on the popular Jack Reacher books by British novelist Lee Child, which follow the titular ex-military policeman on his travels around the U.S. as he finds himself embroiled in all manner of debacles. But previous attempts to bring the character to the screen had proven divisive among fans of the novels.

For the 2012 movie "Jack Reacher," Tom Cruise was cast in the lead, which even Child himself has since admitted was a mistake. Cruise reprised the role in 2016's "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back," but fans simply weren't having it. At issue was the star's diminutive stature, which wasn't even close to...

'That Motherf----r': Reacher Star Alan Ritchson Takes a Shot at Controversial Politician He Went to School With
Image
As the star of the hit series Reacher, Alan Ritchson is one of today's most popular actors. Fans of Ritchson may not realize he went to school with one controversial politician who's been in the headlines a lot lately, though the actor seems to prefer that there was no association.

Per GQ, Ritchson was born in North Dakota before later growing up in Florida, but in the interim, his family briefly settled in Illinois. During that time, Ritchson was a classmate of Matt Gaetz, the former U.S. rep who resigned from congress in 2024. Known in part for his far-right political views and staunch support of Donald Trump, Gaetz was accused of child sex trafficking and statutory rape in 2020, though he was ultimately not charged. He was later nominated by Trump to serve as the U.S. attorney general, but amid heavy backlash against the decision, including some from fellow Republican politicians,...

10 Best Shows Like The Day Of The Jackal
Image
The Day of the Jackal is a TV adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s iconic novel of the same name, and it’s already proven to be one of 2024’s most popular shows. The series tells the fictional story of a killer named the Jackal, an assassin-for-hire whose dangerous methods and mastery of disguises have allowed him to evade the police for many years. It’s a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse that takes place throughout Europe, with the Jackal leaving a trail of destruction and chaos in his wake.

The Day of the Jackal has become a streaming sensation, but it’s not the first project to tell this kind of epic, sprawling story. The series is clearly inspired by many other thrillers that came before it, and thankfully, these are perfect shows to watch in the tantalizing gap between The Day of the Jackal’s first and second seasons.

Reacher Season 3's New Villain Is Just The Kind Of Bad Guy The Prime Video Show Needs After Season 2
Image
With Reacher season 3's villain now unveiled, it's becoming abundantly clear just what the show has been missing all this time. Although all the bad guys in Reacher so far have brought something new to the table, Alan Ritchson's titular protagonist faces a brilliant new challenge as Amazon moves on to adapt another of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books. From what's been shown in the teaser trailer, it looks like audiences are set to watch an entirely new kind of struggle for Reacher's main character.

The Reacher season 3 cast is tasked with bringing Persuader to life - the seventh book in Child's series. As has been the case with the previous two runs, Ritchson is one of the only returning actors after the end of Reacher season 2, with Maria Sten's Frances Neagley being the other character to come back for another round. However, it's one of...

'This Is Peak TV': Alan Ritchson Hypes Reacher Season 3 as the Best Season Yet
Image
Reacher star Alan Ritchson has very high praise for the eagerly anticipated third season of the hit Prime Video series. The actor believes it to be "peak TV" and the best season of the show so far.

Ritchson made the assertion at Brazil's Ccxp, where the trailer for Reacher Season 3 recently dropped. The actor discussed what fans could expect from the upcoming installment, teasing his eagerly anticipated confrontation with bodybuilder Oliver Richters' Paulie, a man bigger than Ritchson's hulking eponymous character. "Things get pretty dangerous," he said. "Things get — and I mean this, I would never lead you astray — there's been a little tiny something in each season where I've been like, 'I wish we could do that better.' Season 3 is by far the best season we've ever made."

'Reacher' Season 3 Teaser Announced February Streaming Debut on Prime Video
Image
The bigger they are, the harder they fall. That is what the new teaser for Prime Video’s third season of Reacher promises, and the action looks to be coming thick and fast for Alan Ritchson’s mercenary. His latest outing will hit the streamer on February 20, 2025.

Although this is only a short taste of what is to come, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the bulked-up, hard-hitting hero, and the 30-second video is just enough to whet the appetite for more of Ritchson’s muscly brand of masculine “dad TV." While Season 2 dropped at the end of December 2023, and many hoped that the same would happen this year, Season 3’s February debut means that there is a slightly longer wait to see the new episodes roll out.

Reacher Season 3 will be based on Lee Child's “Persuader,” the seventh book in the Jack Reacher series. The new teaser...

After shoving the head of security and all-things-evil, Shane Langston (Robert Patrick), out of a moving aircraft for killing members of his unit in Season 2, Reacher is all set for more vigilante justice.

News of the muscular hero’s return came almost immediately following the finale of Season 2 when Ritchson took to Twitter/X to announce it. One can only imagine who will be on the receiving end of Reacher’s fist, but what we do know is that he makes Reacher look like a Lilliputian.

The Amazon Prime Video action crime streaming TV series was a big hit after it debuted on February 4, 2022, where Reacher finds himself in the town of Margrave, Georgia.

A teaser and poster for Reacher season 3 dropped online following a Ccxp announcement that Prime Video's acclaimed crime thriller will drop the season's first three episodes on February 20, 2025. In the trailer, Reacher (Alan Ritchson) can be seen investigating another mystery, attacking foes with guns and hooks, evading explosions, and even knocking a guy out so he can finish a cup of coffee. Most notably, it pits the massive ex-military police major against Paulie, a man not only taller than Reacher but capable of besting him in hand-to-hand combat, leading to Reacher's longtime ally Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) joking, "Last time I saw a guy twice your size was on Mount Rushmore" when she hears the news.

Tom Cruises Jack Reacher Movies Leaving Netflix on October 31
Image
If youre both a Netflix subscriber and a fan of Jack Reacher, then we have some bad news for you, as its been confirmed by the streaming giant (via What's on Netflix) that Halloween will be the last day you have to watch the two feature film versions that were released in 2012 and 2016 respectively. Based on the popular series of novels by author Lee Child, the titular character burst onto the scene in 1997 with the first book, Killing Floor, and has been a staple in the action genre ever since, with a new story releasing religiously each year.

While fans had long been clamoring for a big screen version of their favorite former military police officer-turned nomad, when it was announced that Tom Cruise was cast, people balked at the idea of his 5'7" frame embodying the role of someone who's 6'5" in the books. The decision was defended by Child himself,...

If You Miss Reacher Season 1s Cast, Check Out This Other Detective Show Featuring One Of The Prime Video Series Stars
Image
An acclaimed supernatural procedural drama starring one of Reacher's leading stars is perfect for viewers who miss the cast of Reacher season 1. Based on Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, Amazon's Reacher has had an incredibly successful run primarily because it stays true to the essence of its source material. There are times when it deviates from the original Jack Reacher books' stories, but it only does so when it serves to deepen character beats or raise the stakes for the titular character's crime-solving endeavors.

However, even though Reacher mostly benefits from staying true to its source material and adapting one Jack Reacher book per season, its loyalty to the Lee Child novels prevents it from featuring recurring characters. With each new season, Jack Reacher finds himself in a new location where he almost completely loses touch with the characters he encountered in the previous season. Since Reacher season 1 had some incredible characters,...

Neagley Getting a Spinoff Could Change Reacher a Lot
Image
Reacher is one of Prime Video's most popular shows. Season 1 of the series made its debut in February 2022 and became an instant hit, scoring 92% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer. A second season followed in December 2023, with Season 3 of the series simultaneously announced. The rapidity with which the seasons of Reacher progressed speaks volumes as to the popularity of the show. Given this, the new Reacher-based spinoff, announced by Deadline, is almost expected.

Prime Video is reportedly looking to fast-track a spinoff centering on Maria Sten's character, Frances Neagley. Titled after its protagonist, similarly to the parent series, the new show will be called Neagley. The character, a former colleague of Jack Reacher's from the 110th Special Investigations Unit, was a constant in the parent series. As such, fans are quite familiar with the character, making her the perfect candidate for a spinoff to be based on. However, Neagley getting her...

Reacher Spinoff Rumors Might Not Be Such a Bad Thing

Quick Links A Reacher Spinoff Could Maintain the Same Quality Do We Really Need a Reacher Spinoff? The Reacher Spinoff Rumors Versus Reality

Prime Video certainly bet on a winner when it green-lit Reacher and decided to provide a far more book-accurate version of the larger-than-life character by Lee Child. Alan Ritchson has been nothing short of a sensation in the role, and with the show picking up so much steam, there is news that it will soon be turned into a franchise with a spinoff show in the works. Now, it looks very likely that the new show will revolve around fan-favorite character Frances Neagley and possibly feature Ritchson's Jack Reacher himself in cameos.

The popularity of Neagley aside, right now, Amazon is likely more concerned about the potential for more massive viewership numbers. Who could blame them, since, according to the Nielson Streaming Top 10, Reacher returned for Season 2 with 1.6 billion minutes viewed,...

Could Jack Reacher Be Neurodivergent?
Image
Following Tom Cruise's two-time big-screen depiction as Jack Reacher, Alan Ritchson assumed the mantle to great fanfare on Amazon Prime's original series, Reacher. As fans await the return of Season 3 in 2025, a real question regarding Reacher's super strengths, intelligence, and abilities has become a popular topic of debate online. A Reddit thread suggests that Jack Reacher's personality derives from undiagnosed neurodivergence, with plausible arguments on both sides.

While there have been plenty of big and small screen portrayals of neurodivergent characters in the past, the brilliance of Ritchson's depiction of Jack Reacher is how his potential autism is treated as an upgraded, supercharged feature of his persona rather than a debilitating bug. While there are no definitive answers, examining Jack Reacher's complex mind and strapping physicality could help explain where the theory comes from and whether it lends credence.

Reacher's Alan Ritchson to Star in Mostly Dialogue-Free Revenge Movie
Image
Reacher star Alan Ritchson is set to star in a new movie completely different from his usual work. Titled Motor City, Ritchsons new film has limited dialogue focusing instead on being a rock disco revenge film.

Collider recently spoke with Ben Foster, who plays Reynolds in Motor City, about working with Ritchson and how the new film expands his work as an actor. He's very tall and very muscular, and he's very handsome, Foster joked, before getting serious about Ritchsons acting ambitions. Hes terrific as a mover. I think he wants to do some deeper work or rather different kinds of work than he's been doing, and that's a joy. Motor City is currently in production, with Shailene Woodley (Divergent) and Pablo Schreiber (Halo) set to star alongside Ritchson and Foster.
